Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 172 - One Hundred And Seventy-Two:A ’You’ Problem.
Mainland, Suncity.

Alex watched from the basketball court. He was waiting patiently for Jason to arrive, as he parked his car outside and he came out of the car. Surprisingly, he was with none of his guards this time around which made him wonder how on earth this man could trust him so blindly.
Just because Marilyn was missing doesn’t make them friends again, but then Alez remembered that he was done with being the bad guy here. Afterall, he was here to make peace and come clean to him. A courtesy of his son, Nelson.
"To what do i owe for this early morning meetup, Alex? Don’t tell me you suddenly decided that it’s right that we come together to find your ex-girlfriend." A hint of mockery laced Jason’s tone and it made Alex wonder if this was the same man who was crying over the sudden disappearance of his wife.
It’s not been two days yet since they met, and he’s already showing how corky he is. It took a whole lot of patience for Alex not to show him who was better at this game, after all he knew what exactly brought him here.
He’s trying to find Polina, and there’s no way he could do that alone. Jason might be angry to hear that Polina is still alive but he as well would gain something positive out of everything Marilyn had messed up for him, and that would be him knowing Adrik’s real father. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"You didn’t come with the old man, I am happy to see you are starting to listen to me. Good job, bro." Alex teased him, coming up to tap his cheeks just like old times but Jason was in cue to slap his hands away.
"What is this about? Did you call me out here to kill me so that you can finally have Marilyn, after you are done getting rid of me?" Jason asked, it made Alex figure out that he was still finding it hard to bury the past behind them.
Well why won’t he?
He isn’t the one who’s child is still alive, although Adrik is still alive but he’s not his son. Obviously it’s sad to say this, but he’s far closer to Adrik than to Vanessa, so telling him about this is going to hurt him but Nelson needs him to do this as soon as possible, since he’s going back to his family today.
"Jason, I need to talk to you but i can’t do that if you don’t stop acting as if we both haven’t made mistakes that we both aren’t regretting now." Alex said and that did the job because he didn’t say anything else, but humped loudly before putting his hands in his pockets while waiting for him to talk.
"I’m sorry to keep this away from you, but i know you would have killed her if i told you.."
"Told me what?" Jason snapped impatiently.
"Polina is alive, the bullets didn’t hurt ahy vital organs nor arteries, so yes she’s alive." Alex confessed, waiting for him to shout at him nor act out since he’s one lucky man unlike him.
"I guess congratulations are in order, but if this was what you called me out here to say then i am sorry, I am busy trying to find my wife." Jason said, in an approach to leave.
"Yeah, a wife who cheated on you and had another man’s child instead of yours." Alex said lowly, but he’s sure that Jason heard him quite alright because his movement halted instantly and he turned to face him with a shocked expression.
"What?...how.." Jadin stuttered.
"Now i need you to listen to me. Marilyn cheated on you and had a son with Lucifer. The man who you all think took her, and that’s a yes. He took her because he knew her, she’s been cheating on you, bro. Adrik isn’t your son." Alex held on to his shoulder, but Jason was acting so indifferent.
"How do you know all that?.. How do you know he wasn’t my son?" Jason asked, making Alex’s eyes widen.
"Wait, you knew?"
"Of course I did, am not a fool. It’s a secret Marilyn and i had, so who else knew this aside from you?" Jason asked, as his hand moved behind him to take out the gun that he hide behind him.
Alex was not his friend. He didn’t know how he got to know about Adrik, but it was obvious he knows Lucifer who has everyone worried.
"I know because Adrik is alive and he has Polina. Your son...your stepson had my daughter, Jason."Alex explained how better he knew to do it, because he turned back toward his car giving Nelson the cue to step out.
"So, is this some kind of family reunion? Where did you find him and why is he here?" Jason asked, if he was right Nelson and his father didn’t get along so well, so the fact that the both of them are here could only mean that something was wrong somewhere.
"How have you been, uncle?" Nelson paid his respect to him, while he placed back his gun before looking up to Alex.
"What is this all about? You said your daughter is alive, but why accuse my dead son if she decides to run away because she couldn’t handle your annoying ass. What joke are you playing with me, you sick fool?" Jason grabbed Alex by his collar.
"Few months ago my daughter started having complications that involved your son. She thought he was a ghost because he couldn’t stop pestering her." Nelson started to explain as Jason pushed his father, before turning to face him.
"My son is dead and if he came to see your daughter, then it’s because of your father. He killed him."
"No he didn’t!" Nelson said," Adrik is not your son, Marilyn your wife slept with a bad man. He’s not a human, your wife slept with a demon. Adrik is the son of Lucifer, the king of hell." Nelson concluded and just like his father had said, Jason was a total klutz because he bursted out laughing immediately.
"Do you guys derive joy in mocking my family?" Jason asked, laughing hysterically at his words, before he turned to Alex." Look, I get it that your daughter is okay, and that’s bad for me because the boy i raised all my life isn’t my son. But it’s not smart of you and your son to look me right in the face and tell me that i housed a demon’s son!!"
"Jason, this is not a joke, I don’t have any reason to lie to you about anything." Alex said truthfully.
"Yeah, coming from someone who hid that Polina was alive all these while!"He shouted.
"That’s because you were going to try and kill her, if i told you." Alex told him, and that was the truth.
"Uncle..." Nelson tried to stop this conversation because this wasn’t helping any of them right now.
"But you were the one who tried to kill my daughter, after knowing that your child was alive and also knowing Adrik’s identity. What use does it bring to you knowing that you are about to kill my only child, tell me?!" Jason asked, heartbroken and it left Alex speechless because even after telling him everything, it didn’t erase the evil he had done.
It didn’t erase the blackness that has stained his white. Right there, every bad deed he has done flashed through his eyes like a movie, and he couldn’t say that he was proud of what he had done.
He looked at his son to see how ashamed he was right now, he didn’t have any idea of what he tried to do to Vanessa. He was blinded by the greed to overcome Jason in every aspect.
"Jason, am sorry..." Alex came forward to apologize, but was met with a gun pointed at his head by Jason." Man, what are you trying to do?"
"Step any closer and i would kill you right now, right here with your son. After All, it would be called a payback for what you tried to do to my daughter." Jason said with gritted teeth, he wasn’t thinking straight. All he wanted right now was to hurt Alex just like the way he tried to hurt him.
"I never knew about Adrik’s father until yesterday, Jason. Listen, I’m done fighting with you. All i want is to find Marilyn and Polina.’’Alex told him, but he scoffed.
"What makes you think i would help you? After All, this is a pretty good chance to get rid of that cheating bitch, and that way you don’t get to see your daughter anymore since Adrik, the son of demon king Lucifer, has her. You are such a joker, Alex."
"Jason, that’s not a joke. Nelson’s daughter is missing as well and all of this brings us to Marilyn. His daughter is innocent, Jason."
"Well it sounds like a you problem, don’t call my phone anymore, Alex. The next time i see you, I will kill you. It’s a promise." Jason turned to leave, while Alex called after him but he left, just like he said it’s his problem and not his.
