Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 52 - Fifty-Two: There’s No Escaping The Mad Obsession Of Adrik Ivanov
Narika’s body went into overdrive, the adrenaline pumping through her body after noticing that her worst nightmare was back again, had her rising up to rush forward to turn the lights back on.
But she didn’t prevail, it was at this point that she realized how reckless her action was. She was avoiding her mother without knowing that Adrik still exists, and a creature of the dark only exists in the dark or did he not?
She was pinned on the same spot that she had rushed to turn on the light, her body was controlled by another force and that was no other than Adrik. At this point, she feared for her life.
So much for searching him up, only to see that he was nothing but an obsessed ghost that was onto her because of what her grandfather had done. It was all because of her aunt.
The brave girl pants that she had worn along, since coming out of jail and having her ass fired from work, died down when she heard Adrik’s sinister chuckle.
"You know i’m disappointed that it took you so long to search about me," She heard his voice, it was so close that she figured that he was clearly behind her.
Since her body was on another mind of its own, it didn’t take long for the young girl to start shedding tears. What Adrik so much loved about her, and that was her shedding tears because of him. He loved the way her brown eyes shivered in fear at the thoughts of him. That intrigued him and gave undivided attention to herself.
No human has been able to have him this way, although what he felt with Polina was different compared to this. But him living as a ghost has its pecks, and Narika was doing a great job by keeping him entertained twenty four seven.
He felt for the poor girl, who wasn’t able to speak due to his hold on her, until he let her to. He wanted to hear her voice...that angelic voice to curse at him.
"You are sick in the head if you think that I’m going to be a replacement for my aunt!" Narika spat viciously.
Something triggered in Adrik hearing her refer to Polina as her aunt, unlike the other humans out there who would have dreaded the thoughts of being aunt with Polina if they were in her shoes, because of his ties with her. Narika is a considerate human being, a very nice one at that.
But does kindness count in his world?
No!
Her grandfather wasn’t nice when he pulled the trigger on them, and that had sealed her fate with him. So, if there’s anyone she should hate, it definitely shouldn’t be him.
"Uh..you are boring" Adrik muttered, before releasing her from his hold, and the first thing she did was to rush and turn the light on. With the hope that he wouldn’t be here if there’s light, afterall darkness has no connection with the light.
"You are so delusional, Narika. What sort of fucked story have you being reading, to think that a mere light would stop me from coming to see you?" Adrik laughed, watching the way her eyes scanned her room desperately in hope that she could see him.
He smirked.
She doesn’t even know that he was standing in front of her, and he can see that pretty eyes of hers from up close. Then the lips that he kissed that day..damn! This girl doesn’t know what power she possessed.
He looked away from her lips, since he doesn’t know if he can control himself from not repeating what he did last time.
"You kissed me?!" Narika yelled, in frustration and he read her body language to see that she hated that. Sad. He wanted her to enjoy that because they will be doing more than just kissing each other after their wedding.
"And you seem to enjoy that sweetheart," He teased her, by pushing her hair away from her neck and gliding his fingers along her neck.
"Stop touching me," she warned him, this time her voice betrayed her because it didn’t come out that confident for someone who didn’t like his touch.
Everything about Adrik is still a mystery to get, and yet her body was somewhat reacting to the mystery. Which is something not even upgraded science can explain.
Adrik had taken over her mind, that not even spending time with another male can take him off her mind. Just like she couldn’t stop thinking about him when she was with Hendrix.
"But i bet that you are wet from me just being here with you." He smugly replied back, causing a gasp to leave her lips. " You don’t have to admit it, but your body language explains it all. You say you hate me, but sweetheart... you just don’t understand what exactly it is you want from me, babygirl." He added.
"I don’t think you understand, since it seems your dead brain can’t see that the only thing i want from you is to send you to the pit of abyss from where you came from." She replied coldly, folding her hands under her breasts.
"And how exactly do you plan on doing that my love?" Adrik asked with a grin. He always loved a challenge, especially with her. "You didn’t summon me in the first place, so how do you think you can get rid of an important personality like me?"
"Oh please! Don’t give yourself such praise. You are nothing but a dumb dead ghost that stupidly died for love." Narika sassed back, but her words didn’t sound funny to Adrik again. Since she called him stupid, and also because she questioned his sacrifice for love.
Instantly, a sense of dejavu fell upon her, and the hairs on her arms stood up at attention. That ... made her know that Adrik was angry.
"Stop acting like a teenager who just hit her period, and face me like a man Adrik. What the fuck!!" She yelled to no one in particular, the annoyance on her face was because Adrik was behaving like he was on his period.
What if he’s bipolar?
Ofcourse he is!
That entails his abnormal mood swings, but she didn’t care about any of that. What she wanted was for him to leave her the fuck alone.
The commotion he was creating in her room had her nearly running mad, he disarranged everything which made her wonder why her mother hasn’t barged in yet from all the noise.
Until he stopped when he was satisfied with his work. Cleaning up her room would have her mind the way she talks to him.
"You are crazy Adrik..." she confessed, coming forward to pick up her clothes that were on top of her bed, only to throw it at the air wishing that he was there so he could he be a cloth hanger.
" I can be much worse, but for you. I can be your prince charming, I can be the reason you smile everyday or the nightmare behind your everyday insomnia." He said, coming closer to her. This time around when he pushed her hair away from her neck, with him coming closer to whisper in her ears, she didn’t push him away.
"But that would be only because you choose to defy me, so Narika baby what will it be, give in to me and everything stops babygirl." He mumbled against her ear, his lips making contact with her neck and that erated a moan from her.
"Ad..rik" Narika called for him, she didn’t even know why exactly she did that. But she loved his closeness with her. Her body was loving every treacherous thing he was doing to them with his voice.
"Do you choose to be my bride, for me to love and cherish till eternity or do you want to burn in the flame of my grievance? You have two days to choose." He said lastly, and with this he left her.
Narika’s trance was broken, and she fell in her bed while breathing fast. Her hands slowly moved to her heart that was beating fast against her chest.
Was it in elation for his proposal or was it in fear about what he had in mind if she refuses?
The young girl was confused.
Two days!
She heard him yell, right now she was stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea because she had no escape. There’s no escaping the mad obsession of Adrik Ivanov!
