Naruto : Gamer System-Chapter 49 : Training
Chapter 49 - 49 : Training
Hateful.Haruto Itsuki stared at the glowing light radiating from Murasame's blade, frowning deeply. His worry had become reality. The curse seal constantly pushed him to grow stronger, but the foreign chakra from Orochimaru was contaminating the purity of his own.
He focused on Murasame. The blade shimmered and extended, forming a massive white lightsaber about two meters long.
Naruto's eyes lit up. "Boss, that's so cool! Can you teach me?"
Haruto smiled wryly. The lightsaber looked impressive, but its energy was scattered, its sharpness lost. In truth, it was more like a glowing club than a cutting edge. He casually struck a tree. The trunk snapped, but Haruto's frown deepened. Chakra consumption had shot up tenfold.
Naruto bounced excitedly. "Teach me, teach me!"
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Idiot. Can't you tell Haruto's technique is weaker? He used to slice clean through that."
He turned to Haruto. "What's going on? Are you okay?"
Haruto shook his head. "It's a problem... but I think I have a solution. If I create my own curse seal—copy Orochimaru's method or use someone like Jugo's bloodline—it could work. As long as the chakra remains purely mine. The Sharingan proves that. Orochimaru and Jugo's powers can't be handled by Eight Gates alone. A strong body might delay the effects, but I need to learn the Reaper Death Seal."
Sasuke nodded silently. If Haruto said there was a way forward, he believed it.
Naruto shouted, "That technique's awesome! Boss, you have to teach me!"
Haruto looked at Naruto's eager eyes and sighed. "It takes personal perseverance, and your control's probably too poor."
Naruto slumped. "I can't learn any flashy moves..."
Haruto considered—what if the technique was modified for Naruto? The lack of control made the energy scatter and consume too much chakra. But if Naruto simply pushed chakra out for brute force...
It clicked. Naruto had tons of chakra, even if the quality was low. A rough version would be perfect for him—no finesse, just raw power.
Soon, Haruto handed Naruto a simplified version of the lightsaber technique, along with a special kunai that stabilized chakra flow.Naruto focused—and a half-meter yellow lightsaber burst out. It worked.Sasuke tried beside him but could only form a tiny two-inch blade, revealing their chakra gap.Naruto grinned and charged around like a child with a new toy.
"Naruto's sword!" he yelled. A one-meter lightsaber crackled with wind. He swung it at a tree—and broke it. Naruto blinked. "Huh?"
Sasuke snorted. "Useless. That thing's all show." In truth, Sasuke was conflicted. Naruto could use something he couldn't. Naruto's blade lasted freely. His own, only ten seconds.
Haruto said, "You've got plenty of chakra, but it's unstable. Work on that—even without compression, basic stability's key."
Naruto nodded and tried again. This time, the lightsaber grew to three meters, thick as a tree trunk—and brought the tree down.
He laughed triumphantly. "How about that? I'm awesome!" Then collapsed from exhaustion.
"What a waste of chakra," Haruto muttered. "Who else smashes chakra around like this?"
Haruto turned to Sasuke. "Sasuke, good news. You've got lightning affinity, right? Kakashi said before the exam he'd teach you his technique—Raikiri."
"Raikiri..." Sasuke whispered, remembering Kakashi slicing through lightning.
Haruto wished he could teach Sasuke the Flying Thunder God technique, but the Third Hokage refused. Sasuke was full of hate. Until Itachi was gone, no one could say what path he'd walk. That jutsu was a trump card for later.
Their team continued to train and collect extra scrolls for allies like Hinata.
"Sasuke, go hunt some prey. Time for dinner."
"I'm on it!" Naruto shouted, bolting off.
Haruto smiled at his back. "Ever since he got that jutsu, Naruto's been glowing with joy."
Suddenly, a scream. Naruto dashed toward it.
A huge bear was chasing a red-haired girl who'd fallen. She screamed again, eyes shut.Naruto felt inexplicable warmth toward her hair. He rushed forward. A two-meter lightsaber slammed down, knocking the bear unconscious.
The girl opened her eyes, stunned. Naruto stood there, white robe flowing, blade glowing."So handsome," she murmured, blushing. "You okay?" Naruto asked.
"Ah... yes. Thank you!"
"Haha, no problem."
"My name's Karin. What's yours?"
"I'm Naruto. Future Hokage, believe it!"
Evening sun filtered through the forest. Naruto smiled.
From afar, Haruto yawned. "Naruto! You're late—and covered in ink again?"
Naruto approached—with Karin beside him.
Haruto raised an eyebrow. "Karin? What a coincidence. Plot twist incoming."
Sasuke drew a kunai instantly. "Who is she?"
Naruto hesitated. Deep down, he couldn't abandon her. "She's... with me."
Haruto said calmly, "The 'food' you brought? Should we roast or stew?"
Karin paled, trembling.
Naruto grabbed her protectively. "Boss, don't joke like that. She's too dangerous to leave out there. Let her hide with us."
Haruto nodded. "Fine. If she's with you, she's safe. But she hands over her scroll."
That night, Naruto bragged endlessly about his exploits. Haruto and Sasuke were speechless.Only Karin cheered every story. Naruto basked in it, laughing. Haruto noticed Karin's eyes always found Naruto—and Naruto didn't even realize it.
Haruto sighed. He still felt a little guilty—after all, Naruto ended up with Hinata. He thought Kishimoto's pairings were arbitrary.A lonely, passionate boy like Naruto shouldn't fall for someone like Hinata without the author's push. Personality-wise, Sakura made more sense. But romance followed the plot, not logic.Haruto sighed again. He'd help Karin if he could. Naruto deserved warmth—and Haruto, closure.
The next day, they spotted colorful mist and a huge dust cloud. Naruto yelled, "Boss! Let's check it out!"
Sasuke snapped, "Idiot. That's clearly a dangerous fight. We've got enough scrolls."
Haruto thought carefully. "We'll go. If things get bad, we retreat."
What he really feared was Gaara. If Gaara lost control here—if the One-Tail came out—everything would change.
"Sand Coffin!"
Gaara crushed his opponent with sand. "I don't want trouble! I don't even want the scrolls!" the rogue ninja shouted. But Gaara grinned. "Let me kill you to prove my worth!"Sand struck again. The ninja countered with green mist. "Poison Mist!"
Temari and Kankuro watched from afar, uninterested. The green fog and yellow sand tangled together.
The rogue ninja fought back with "Hidden Mist," "Toxic Haze." But Gaara's sand didn't stop.Eventually, Gaara collapsed—but it was a trick.
The ninja laughed and threw kunai. "Your sand defends well—but you still need to breathe!"A cold voice whispered, "You think poison can kill me?"Sand surged again."Sand Coffin!"
"Water Style: Rushing Wave!"
Water poured in—neutralizing Gaara's sand. The ninja slipped free.
He looked back—Haku stood there. "Why did you save me?"
"Because you're my comrade," Haku said.
"Comrade...?" the ninja murmured.
Haruto's team arrived. Haku and the mist ninja were locked in a fierce battle—neither able to harm Gaara.
Before anyone spoke, Sasuke charged ahead.
Haruto watched with an odd smile—remembering the boy who once chased Haku through the village for training every day.
