Naruto: Konoha's Kanpu-Chapter 1027: Shisui’s Return
A few days later.
Land of Fire.
Fire Temple.
An urgent letter, delivered over eight hundred kilometers, reached the hands of the abbot of the Fire Temple.
"This is…" Chiriku, the new abbot of the Fire Temple, looked at the contents of the letter, and his brow gradually furrowed.
The letter was sent by a fellow monk, but this colleague was a monk in a temple in the Land of Wind.
"Uzumaki Clan's Fuinjutsu…" Chiriku mused with a frown, "Is it Yondaime Hokage-sama or Kushina-sama?"
Since Land of Whirlpools was destroyed, in the entire Shinobi World, those who has mastered Uzumaki Clan's Fuinjutsu can be counted on one's fingers, and Chiriku only knew of these two.
After some thought, Chiriku decided to forward the letter to Konoha.
"It's been a while since I've seen Asuma. Let's use this opportunity to visit him." Chiriku stored the letter, informed the monks below him, and then left the Fire Temple.
Rushing all the way, Chiriku arrived in Konoha two days later.
He first went to Asuma's house, but unfortunately, Asuma was out on a mission with his team, so he wasn't at home. Dilu Weiwei felt regretful. After leaving a message, he headed to Hokage Tower and handed the letter to Minato inside Hokage's Office.
After reading the letter, Minato's eyes gleamed with insight, "Chiriku, thank you so much for this!"

"The Fire Temple and Konoha have always been close allies. This is what I should do." Chiriku said with a gesture of prayer, and then said his goodbye, "Since the letter has been delivered, I should take my leave."
Though he delivered the letter, he had no intention of getting involved further.
Minato quickly asked Genma to send Chiriku off, and then sent another Anbu to find Kanpū.
It was now the spring of Konoha's Year 61.
In the bright spring, Kanpū had taken Mei, Naruto, Sasuke, and Karin out for a spring outing early in the morning.
With three big light bulbs around, Kanpū couldn't do anything inappropriate in broad daylight. He could only hold Mei's soft hand obediently and honestly, and walk slowly on the soft grass.
The tender green grass gently brushed against Kanpū's ankles, tickling him and making him smile.
"Life is peaceful…"
Just as Kanpū was about to recite a poem, an Anbu suddenly rushed over from a distance.
"Kanpū-sama, Hokage-sama requests your presence!" The Anbu knelt on one knee and said loudly.
'Just in time, otherwise, my elementary school education might get exposed…' Kanpū nodded and said, "I understand."
The Anbu bowed again before leaving.
"Then, continue your outing, pay attention to safety." Kanpū said to Mei with a smile.
"Don't worry." Mei flirtatiously brushed her beautiful hair.
'I really never get tired of looking at her…' Kanpū suppressed his emotions and quickly flickered away
When he arrived at the Hokage's Office, Minato was still reading the letter.
"Hokage-sama." Kanpū bowed slightly upon entering.
"Kanpū, take a look at this letter!" Minato got straight to the point and directly handed the letter to Kanpū.
"This is…" Kanpū skimmed through it, somewhat puzzled.
"I suspect it is Obito!" Minato said succinctly, "The seal on Obito was placed by me. It's not something an ordinary person can break!"
"So he sought help from the monks of the Wind Temple?" Kanpū understood.
'These Shinobi Monks spend their days researching Fuinjutsu. If Obito wanted to break the seal on his body, the best way would indeed be to seek the Shinobi Monks!'
"Kanpū, I need you to go to the Wind Temple!" Minato took a map of the Land of Wind, it's marked with a small red dot where the Wind Temple was located.
"I understand." Kanpū took the map and immediately activated Sage Mode, then left with Flying Thunder God Technique.
In just over ten seconds, Kanpū arrived at the border of Land of Rivers and Land of Fire. Two seconds later, he reached the border of Land of Rivers and Land of Wind.
However, from here to the Wind Temple, Kanpū had to rely on his own legs.
"No, I can still fly!"
Kanpū's pupil power flowed. He immediately turned on Tenseigan Chakra Mode, donned a green Chakra cloak, and turned into a green light streak. Soaring through the sky, he dropped a few Flying Thunder God kunai along the way for an easy return.
In less than half a day, Kanpū saw an ancient temple standing amidst the desert sands.
Kanpū quickly descended, smelling a faint scent of blood in the air even before landing.
'It seems that the monk of the Wind Temple were silenced by Obito…' Kanpū entered the Wind Temple, then saw the corpses of Shinobi Monks everywhere, with the blood on the ground already coagulated, indicating they had been dead for a while.
Having the mentality to give it a try, Kanpū closed his eyes to sense the surroundings, but of course, he found nothing.
'What a pity.' Kanpū shook his head slightly and then used the Flying Thunder God Technique to return to Konoha.
When he returned to the village, it was already dark, but the Hokage's Office was still brightly lit.
Kanpū went in and found that besides Minato, there were two people in the office. One was Itachi and the other was…
"Shisui?!" Seeing the familiar face, Kanpū was overjoyed.
"Kanpū!" Shisui opened his arms with a smile, and gave Kanpū a big hug, "Long time no see!"
Kanpū smiled and said, "It seems Kumogakure has retreated."
It had been five or six days since Kanpū's sword strike that cut through ten mountain peaks to frighten Yondaime Raikage. So it is indeed about time for Shisui to return!
"Thanks to you!" Shisui naturally heard of Kanpū's 'great achievements' on the front line.
"You've had a hard time too, guarding the border for so long. Even when I got married, you only sent a shadow clone back." Kanpū laughed and said.
After some casual chatting, Kanpū looked at Minato and said, "Hokage-sama, everyone in the Wind Temple have been wiped out. It must have been done by Obito and Zetsu."
Minato sighed, not dwelling on the topic, and said: "Kanpū, you came back just in time. I was about to tell Shisui and Itachi about the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. Since you are back, you can explain it!"
"Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?" Shisui and Itachi look at each other.
The former is surprised, while the latter, in addition to being surprised, had a hint of... excitement!
The Mangekyo Sharingan has the shackles of blindness, but the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan…just hearing the name, Itachi knew that it can be opened forever!
At this moment, Sasuke's voice and smile appeared in Itachi's mind.
"Cough cough." Kanpū cleared his throat and said, "The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, as the name suggests, is a Mangekyo Sharingan that has eternal light and inexhaustible pupil power!"
"What?!" Although Shisui and Itachi had vaguely guessed it, hearing it confirmed by Kanpū left them both shocked.
Kanpū smiled and continued, "And the way to obtain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan is…under the premise that Mangekyo Sharingan is awakened, transplant another pair of Mangekyo Sharingan!"
'Of course, it might fail if they aren't blood relatives, but what if it succeeds?'
