Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 235
Chapter 235 - 235
Orochimaru was indeed up to something in secret. He had previously used a strange fruit ability to resurrect Madara. Of course, he kept his distance from Zixu and the others, afraid they might discover his plans and turn on him.
All Orochimaru wanted was a quiet and stable life. The endless fighting and bloodshed among ninjas disrupted his scientific research far too often. So, he came up with a plan to put an end to it—once and for all.
He'd heard rumors about Obito and the others working on something called the Moon's Eye Plan—a scheme to trap everyone in a grand illusion and force world peace. The more Orochimaru thought about it, the more promising it seemed. He was also curious if such a massive genjutsu projection through the moon was even possible.
But the people playing this game were monsters. Orochimaru knew he had to be strong enough to stand at the negotiation table—or risk being used and discarded. So, in secret, he summoned elites from the Five Great Nations under the banner of "Let the ninja world know peace again", hoping to unite them against Obito's group.

Sasuke stood behind Orochimaru, his arms folded, his body crackling with electricity. The two had already returned to Konoha, which had clearly suffered in the chaos of war. Parts of the village were flattened—some areas scorched, others pitted by craters. It looked as if a meteorite had struck. fгeewebnovёl.com
"So... Konoha was destroyed before you even lifted a finger. How does that make you feel?" Orochimaru asked, his voice light, almost amused. He held a demonic mask in his hand, his eyes fixated on its twisted features.
"Hmph. They brought it on themselves," Zuosuke replied coldly, turning away. Despite his detached tone, there was sadness in his eyes—but he refused to show it.
"Don't get too comfortable. With our current strength, we're barely scraping by." Orochimaru waved his hand, and a few White Zetsu clones were dragged forward. He intended to use them to boost his forces.
Far off to the side, Crocodile and Doflamingo kept their distance. Neither of them trusted Orochimaru, especially when he started performing strange summons. Hidan and Deidara, despite their arrogance, also wisely stayed back, observing from afar.
As a chill began to spread across the ruins, the four White Zetsu clones started to convulse violently. Something dark and terrifying was about to descend.
"You really think you can summon the Shinigami like this?" Sasuke asked, leaning against the debris. "Isn't the Reaper Death Seal meant to devour human souls? You're trying to summon souls from inside the Reaper? That's insane."
"This is a forbidden technique from the Land of Whirlpools," Orochimaru replied confidently. "With this mask, it'll work just fine."
He slipped the mask over his face and began forming seals slowly. A bone-deep chill filled the air, piercing everyone's soul. The temperature dropped, and the cold seeped into their hearts, making it feel like they could freeze at any second.
But nothing happened.
The Death God didn't appear.
Orochimaru's arms began to tremble from holding the last seal. Sweat trickled down his forehead. Still... no response.
"This shouldn't be happening. I didn't mess up the process. Are these four souls not enough? Is the Reaper... picky now?"
He hesitated for a moment, then muttered awkwardly, "Reaper... could you come out for just a sec, please?"
Almost as if responding to his sheepish request, the ominous chill thickened. After a long silence, a tall, green-faced, white-robed Shinigami finally materialized, scanning the surroundings warily.
He seemed ready to finish the job and leave quickly, wanting to avoid any potential danger.
But Orochimaru had no intention of letting him leave so easily.
In one swift motion, Orochimaru reached into the mouth of the mask and pulled out a knife, slashing the Reaper's stomach open.
A surge of souls burst from the gash, rushing into the nearby White Zetsu clones. The Shinigami, furious, lunged at Orochimaru to claim his soul in return.
But Orochimaru had planned for this.
From within his own body, a White Zetsu—one secretly planted by Black Zetsu to monitor him—crawled out and took the hit instead. The Death God only managed to seize White Zetsu's soul, leaving Orochimaru untouched.
The Shinigami glared at Orochimaru, his blade trembling with rage, but the jutsu had already been lifted. Powerless, he dissolved into thin air.
The four White Zetsu began to transform. Dust and chakra particles clung to their bodies, draining life force and reshaping them through the forbidden Impure World Reincarnation technique.
One of them immediately collapsed, the soul clearly unstable.
But the other three remained.
Sasuke eyes widened in shock as he stared at the figures forming in front of him.
"No way... That's—!"
"The First Hokage. The Second. And... the Fourth." His voice dropped, almost a whisper. "They're back..."
---
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the battlefield, Naruto suddenly stopped in his tracks. A shiver ran down his spine.
"What's wrong, Naruto?" Killer Bee asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We're almost at the main battlefield. You ready, yeah~?"
"I dunno," Naruto muttered, eyes scanning the horizon. "I just... sensed something. Like someone I've been worried about is back."
The moon above had turned a deeper shade of red. Darkness crept across the land, swallowing light—but even in the dark, some people still pushed forward.
---
In the skies, Roran and the Sky City soared through the clouds, powered by the immense chakra of the reanimated dead. Thanks to their unnatural stamina, the floating cities moved freely.
Kabuto sat quietly at the edge of one platform, gazing up at the moon that was slowly growing larger.
For the first time in a long while... he felt at peace.
He had spent so long chasing the meaning of life—who he was, what he was meant to be. But now, watching the moonlight bathe the land, he realized none of that mattered anymore. Maybe happiness was enough.
Nearby, Chinano and Karin kept a watchful eye on him, ready to act if he lost control.
Rosinante lounged in a rocking chair like a corpse, letting the moonlight wash over him without a care in the world. Compared to the chaos unfolding across the world, their peaceful scene felt completely out of place.
Karin nudged Chinano, her voice laced with anxiety.
"Are we really going to the moon? It's way too high. What if something goes wrong?"
Chinano hesitated, but tried to keep her voice firm. Neji had crunched the numbers, after all. Kind of. He'd said things like "It should be fine," or "probably won't explode."
But Chinano couldn't show doubt.
"Of course we are," she replied confidently. "Don't let your guard down. Things are only gonna get crazier from here. Stay sharp."
Down below, Queen Sara of Roran glanced around nervously. Their entire approach felt completely disconnected from the usual ninja warfare. They weren't just using chakra or jutsu anymore...
They were about to take aviation to a whole new level.
