Chapter 441: I must now face a Duke Family

What greeted his view through the spaceship window after the blinding light dimmed was a sprawling expanse of land. The vast surface was filled with an endless mass of neon-illuminated architecture.

Spaceships blurred past exactly like shooting stars, moving at literal light speed just to successfully cross the immense distance of the gigantic planet.

It was a truly unbelievable sight. The world far below was a seamless blend of ancient elegance and highly advanced technology. Multi-tiered pagodas forged entirely from sleek metals rose from the ground alongside massive skyscrapers that pierced the clouds. As he looked closer between each towering building, he clearly saw countless zen gardens and blooming pink petal trees.

Right before the grand entrance to the Central Light Plains, there was a giant, two-pillared shrine gate. Directly above it hovered a huge vessel that projected a massive holographic billboard.

[Welcome to the Central Light Plains]

And high above all of it was a gigantic tree with glowing pink petals scattered in the sky. Looking exactly like a mythical World Tree, it towered majestically over the entirety of the Central Light Plains. Since it was currently nighttime, the pink petals glowed softly under the light of the seven moons orbiting the Arclight Planet.

Right beside the tree floated a massive red Kun that was practically as big as a continent. It was forged entirely out of dense red energy, and it swam freely through the air of the vast planet with absolutely no resistance to gravity.

Closely behind it, a huge swarm of creatures that looked exactly like folded origami birds flew up into the sky at the exact same pace as the Kun.

"What? Are those actual origami birds?" Grey asked, completely baffled.

"Yes," Arnold smiled upon seeing his surprised reaction. "You might be highly confused, but please allow me to explain, Young Master."

"These creatures might look exactly like something straight out of an animation, but they are actual living entities born directly from the cosmic powers of the Matriarch, your mother."

"She casually creates them in her free time, and these specific creatures are commonly called Sigils by her."

"All of these creatures are natively born at the 4th Rank and have always been of immense help to the daily operations of the Divine Planet. They tend to absolutely everything related to the planet’s upkeep. They visit the gardens and such, perfectly maintaining them."

"There are hundreds of millions of them, and absolutely all of them are at the 4th Rank."

"The Matriarch’s powers are simply on a completely different dimensional level," Arnold said as he proudly glanced at Grey. "Every single one of her created creatures is automatically born at the 4th Rank."

Just then, Arnold turned his gaze back to the viewing window of the spaceship. Soon, a loud, highly formalized announcement rang out throughout the entirety of the Arclight Planet.

[We are the military Vanguard of the Arclight Family.]

[We have successfully confirmed the return of Spaceship 0104.]

[Scanning complete.]

[It has been officially detected that the fleet has successfully fulfilled their strict conditions.]

[Welcome back, General Arnold.]

[Welcome back, Young Heir of the Arclight Family. We humbly welcome you to the Arclight Divine Planet.]

Swish! Swish! Several sleek spaceships suddenly appeared right beside the humongous vessel that Grey was in. They were heavily armed and clearly military-grade. They tightly packed themselves around Grey’s spaceship in absolutely all directions, sealing it completely tight from any possible external influence or attack.

[We shall now securely guide you directly to the main palace of the family and fulfill our sworn duty.]

The highly dignified voice rang out one last time, and the escorted spaceship began to smoothly move deeper into the Central Light Plains.

Because the military announcement was actively broadcasted to the entire planet, absolutely everyone on the Arclight Planet knew about his arrival immediately. Some naturally already knew thanks to the viral forum posts on the cosmic internet.

"So the lost heir is finally back. I genuinely wonder what he looks like."

"I am kind of jealous of him. If it was me, I would be jumping in pure joy that I was turned into a Duke family’s heir overnight."

"Well, being a Duke’s son naturally has its massive hurdles. It is absolutely not as easy as just waking up to free things and endless riches."

"The Arclight family is famously extremely hard on their heirs in that aspect."

"They take immense pride in their own strength, and they absolutely do not provide any free support to the heirs. Every single one of them rose to their current power entirely by themselves."

"Power clearly defines everything."

"That is the strict iron motto that the Arclight family faithfully follows."

"The Patriarch and the Matriarch are also pretty indifferent to absolutely everyone. They only really care about their youngest daughter, Juli."

"Shush! Do not speak her sacred name casually, you will literally cause her crazy fans to violently riot."

"Yeah, I almost completely forgot."

"Sigh... it takes truly terrifying talent to get this insanely popular in the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance."

"There is not a single living being that does not know the youngest daughter, Juli."

"You literally just mentioned her again, you dumbo!"

"Did someone just firmly mention Juli?!"

"My Queen Juli!"

"Everyone! It was officially reported that the Goddess Juli will soon return to the main planet to visit the family. She had been busy in the central core parts of the Alliance for a while now, after all."

"The other powerful heirs might also be coming back too."

"Shut the hell up! Who the hell even cares about them? Juli is truth! Truth is Juli! Only she matters in this entire world!"

"See exactly what you just caused, fellow Evolver friend?"

"Sigh..."

"This lucky, lost heir bastard. To think he would actually be able to have a free chance to formally meet with the Goddess Juli."

"I honestly wonder exactly how strong this lost heir even is. He was trapped inside a dead galaxy that was completely cut off from the main Alliance for countless years, so he must be vastly weaker than the other elite heirs." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"But if he foolishly thinks he will get privileged resources just because he was born an heir, that is just pure wishful thinking."

"The current heirs all worked incredibly hard in their brutal cultivation to reach their supreme status, after all."

"Lol, you guys might not actually believe it, but I literally saw the eldest heir working as a lowly cashier once just to build his mortal foundation."

"That is absolutely crazy."

"Are you actively slandering the Arclight family right now, you bastard? Do you have a literal death wish? Are you that ’remote_briNGer’ guy from the internet forums?"

While the billions of citizens were wildly speculating, the escorted spaceship slowly reached the airspace near the huge pink petal tree towering above the Central Light Plains. Immediately, the fabric of space violently distorted right around the massive tree, and a huge spatial fissure smoothly opened up.

[We have successfully reached the designated destination.]

[Our escort duty is completely fulfilled. Please continue onward with the Lost Heir, General Arnold.]

"Thank you," Arnold spoke clearly from the cockpit communications. He then turned his full attention directly to Grey. "Then, are you finally ready to formally meet your blood parents, Young Heir?"

"Yeah," Grey said with a highly serious, slight nod.

Honestly, he was actually kind of nervous.
