Obsessed with a High-Ranking Esper (BL)-Chapter 235: He looks very handsome
"Do you want me to give you something?" Jian Wei asked, his tone sharp with concern.
As the elevator doors slid open, Jian Ci waved him off. "Nah, it’s not that bad. I am going to take a nap."
"Don’t oversleep," Jian Rui warned. Jian Ci waved
Jian Ci waved his hand dismissively as he scanned his finger to enter his room.
Jian Rui turned to Jian Wei, his voice low. "We need to keep an eye on him."
Jian Wei nodded before disappearing into his own room.
Jian Rui entered his suite and froze. Stannis was sitting in the armchair, legs crossed, looking like he had been waiting for hours. His presence was a shock, his aura filling the room with an intensity that made Jian Rui’s pulse spike.
"Fuck," Jian Rui swore under his breath, shaken. "Are you crazy? You can’t be here."
Stannis rose smoothly, his movements deliberate, predatory. "Why not? I was due for a vacation." His voice was low, seductive, his aura pressing against Jian Rui like heat.
"You are being reckless," Jian Rui hissed, backing up a step.
Stannis closed the distance, his arm sliding around Jian Rui’s waist, his other hand brushing gently along the curve of his neck. Jian Rui tilted his head back, meeting his gaze from the corner of his eye, breath catching.
"I made it all look like a coincidence," Stannis murmured. "No one will suspect anything." He kissed the corner of Jian Rui’s lips, lingering.
Jian Rui’s lips curved into a reluctant smile. "But be well-behaved in front of my brothers."
Stannis smirked, his voice a promise. "They won’t suspect a thing."

A few hours later, Yu Xi found himself in Xiaobao’s room, reluctantly indulging her latest whim. She had somehow convinced him to let her style him for the formal dinner that evening.
He eyed the silk shirt she held up, its neckline daringly open. "Really?" he asked, skepticism dripping from his tone.
"Yeah, why not?" Xiaobao shot back, her grin mischievous and unyielding.
Yu Xi frowned, but before he could refuse, she cut him off. "Come on, you promised."
With a resigned sigh, Yu Xi took the clothes and disappeared into the walk-in closet. Behind him, Xiaobao clapped her hands in excitement, practically vibrating with glee. Her brother was stubborn about Jian Ci so she came up with a plan.
If he couldn’t move the mountain, then she would move the mountain to him. This was her new project: how to turn a very straight esper into someone irrefutably bent. Yu Xi, of course, had no idea what she was plotting.
When he stepped out, dressed in cream-colored suit pants and a crisp white shirt, Xiaobao’s eyes lit up. He looked effortlessly elegant, and she couldn’t help herself. She snapped picture after picture, squealing with delight.
"Sit," she ordered, waving him toward the vanity. "Let me do your hair."
Yu Xi ran a hand through his already neat hair. "But it looks great as it is."
"Stop messing around and sit," Xiaobao said firmly, her tone brooking no argument.
Yu Xi sighed again but obeyed, settling into the chair. Xiaobao stood behind him, comb in hand, studying his reflection in the mirror. Her eyes gleamed with determination.
"I will make you so irresistible," she murmured, "and make your dreams come true."
Yu Xi chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You are too hopeful."
Xiaobao leaned closer, her smile sly. "And you underestimate yourself, brother."
In the mirror, their gazes met, her eyes full of schemes and his full of reluctant amusement.

Jian Ci stood in the private room, the soft glow of crystal chandeliers reflecting off the champagne flute in his hand. He kept glancing at the door, restless, his gaze flicking back every few seconds.
"He will come when he comes," Jian Wei muttered, adjusting his own collar.
"I know," Jian Ci replied, leaning forward to fix the tilt of Jian Wei’s collar himself. His fingers brushed it into place, and he gave a small nod. "There."
"Thanks," Jian Wei said just as the door slid open.
Jian Ci’s heart leapt thinking it was Yu Xi, but when he saw Stannis step inside, his face fell, his disappointment plain.
Jian Wei’s eyes immediately darted to Jian Rui, who was lounging on the couch, his expression unreadable, showing no hint of surprise. Jian Wei crossed the room, lowering his voice as he took a sip of his drink. "What is he doing here?"
"Coincidence," Jian Rui said smoothly.
"I hope so," Jian Wei replied, his tone sharp. "Because it’s too risky."
Both of them turned their attention back to Jian Ci and Stannis. To their surprise, the two had already slipped into easy conversation, laughter and banter flowing between them as though they were old friends.
The door opened again, this time with Xiaobao’s head poking through. "Right room?" she asked, her eyes darting around.
The others looked at her, bemused. She stepped inside, her energy filling the space. Jian Ci immediately asked, "Where is your brother?"
"Behind m—" Xiaobao began, then realized Yu Xi wasn’t there. With a huff, she spun on her heel, marched back out, and moments later dragged him in by the arm.
Yu Xi stumbled slightly, still adjusting his jacket. "Sorry I am late. Someone almost made me bald pulling at my hair."
"Oh, stop complaining," Xiaobao said with a grin, releasing him. "You look stunning."
Jian Ci’s eyes lingered on him, champagne forgotten in his hand.
Yu Xi sat down gracefully, the quiet authority of his presence filling the private room. Jian Wei immediately handed him a glass, the stem cool against Yu Xi’s fingers.
"Doesn’t he look handsome, Ci?" Xiaobao chirped, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Jian Ci, who had glitched for a moment, snapped out of it. His gaze sharpened on Yu Xi.
Yu Xi was dressed in a cream-colored suit over a crisp white shirt, the open neckline revealing the sculpted lines of his chest, breaking the formality with raw individuality. His shoulder-length dark hair framed his neutral expression, but one side was elegantly pinned back with a silver and emerald hairpin, the gleam subtle yet regal.
Calm and self-possessed, he carried himself with cinematic intensity. He was elegant on the surface with defiance simmering beneath. The deliberate blend of sophistication and rebellion made him appear commanding and untouchable.
Jian Ci’s voice came out low, almost reverent. "He looks very handsome."
Yu Xi raised his brow slightly, taking a sip from his glass. "Really?" He paused, then added with quiet sincerity, "You look handsome too."
Jian Ci glanced down at his black jacket, tugging at the lapel. "Not as good as you, though."
Xiaobao, unwilling to be left out, plopped down beside Yu Xi. "What about me? All of you just complimenting each other and not me."
