Hao Ren finished trying to see where this Split Mirror Window would lead him to, and unsure if that place was really the Eternal battlefield mentioned by Zhao Kang, he decided to find the man himself and ask him for clues.

He walked through the palace, and found Ye Si, who looked at his worried face and asked, "What happened, big brother?"

Hao Ren sighed and replied, "What can happen? I have come to a stand still on something that I cannot control."

Ye Si sighed as she looked at him, and asked, "Why bother then? If you cannot control it, then move on with yourself."

Hao Ren nodded and then he talked with Ye Si for a few minutes before he decided to take a walk outside in the city. He was strong enough to hide himself and unless he revealed himself, they would not notice him even if he stood beside them.

As he walked through the city, he spotted many people, who were walking hand in hand and displaying their affection with their gazes. Something inside him began to palpitate. Hao Ren didn’t know why these thoughts came to him, but they did, and he was rather restless by these sudden thoughts that popped up on him.

The young man took a deep breath but the palpitation inside his heart didn’t calm down at all. His heartbeat began to rise, and his aura began to fall into chaotic state when the system said, *What is going on in that head of yours? Do you want to destroy the entire continent? Get away from the city first.*

Only now Hao Ren realized that the people in the city were suffering from suffocation. He vanished from his spot and then appeared outside the city. He sat down on a boulder and said, ’You think Lingshi really loves me?"

*What the fuck is wrong with you?*

Hao Ren sighed and replied, "I think it was because of you that she is with me now. You drove me to do things and she probably fell for that. However, when it started it was driven by the thirst to grow stronger and richer. For her, I was probably just an escape from the family politics.

The young man took a deep breath and replied, "Yeah, you do have a point."

Hao Ren took a few seconds to calm down before he sat up and then went back to the palace. He spotted Han Lingshi in the bedroom, and she was adjusting her clothes, seemingly she had just finished feeding the kids, he approached her and gazed at her for a few moments, before he took the children and rocked them so that they could burp.

He was a strong cultivator, but he didn’t use spiritual energy on the children as they were very delicate and one minor mistake could cause the children to suffer. Han Lingshi saw the gaze her husband had earlier and sensed her heart flutter. She raised her brows, it had been a long time since she had felt like this.

While lost in her thought, she met with Maya Okudera, who was now married to Ye Kang. Ever since they married, the two people had been living happily. Maya saw Han Lingshi appearing to be dazed and asked, "What happened?"

Han Lingshi looked at Maya and said, "I just found that Ren’s gaze has become more tender when he looked at me earlier. Why is that so?"

Maya pondered for a bit and said, "Could be because you have kids now?"

Han Lingshi shook her head and replied, "No, that is not it. Ren has never been the one to have his feelings effected by reasons apart from self realization. What could have he realized to change his gaze like this. It gave me a fluttery feeling just now. As if I am some teenage struck by puppy love."

Maya Okudera smiled and replied, "Indeed, it is true. I have never seen you blushing so much."

Han Lingshi shook her head and rolled her eyes as she said, "Shut it, we have a lot of work to do with these people."

Hao Ren finished coaxing the two children and then he found Hao Mei coming over to tease her nephew and niece. However, Yanling acted like an aloof cat and she turned her head away. Hao Mei sighed and replied, "This little one keeps playing when I am standing afar from her but then as soon as I touch her, she starts crying."

Hao Ren smiled and replied, "She is very sensitive to the cold qi, and thus gets easily irritated. In the future, she would be better."

Hao Mei nodded as she knew this. Hao Ren thought for a bit and said, "I need to go out for a bit."

Just when he was about to go and find Han Lingshi, Yanling cuddled closer to him, as if she sensed that he was about to leave. Hao Ren chuckled and then said, "Big sis, I want to go out, and handle some chores."

Hao Mei nodded but then asked, "You are taking Yanling with you?"

Hao Ren nodded and said, "Look at her, I will go and come back in just a bit."
