Only God-Chapter 542 - 467 So What?
Chapter 542: Chapter 467 So What?
Solamus had brought back a complete Divine Path from Schiller.
The Angel Leader followed God’s command, delivering the Divine Path to Xilan, and informed him that God would impart a mission.
Xilan had been in Heaven for thousands of years, where time flew like a shuttle. Though thousands of years had passed, looking back it seemed like only yesterday. In this perfect place, Xilan had obtained everything he had ever desired; he had seen his Disciples and teacher, Prophet Noen again, as well as Prophet Al and his two sons. He also encountered numerous True Believers joining the Church, some of whom had met Xilan only once, others merely aware of the legend of Xilan.
Even though the beauty of Heaven was intoxicating, once Xilan heard the command from God through Solamus, he no longer indulged in pleasure but unhesitatingly embraced his mission.
He would not forget how he prayed to God before coming to Heaven.
And God indeed endowed him with a new mission.
The Divine Path that Solamus brought was named "Hermit’s Path."
From the name alone, Xilan could guess at the Ancient Language contained within.
The Path of the Hermit, naturally related to concepts such as reclusion, asceticism, seeking the tranquility and piety of the spirit, and ultimately, the redemption of oneself.
For a long time, Hermits did not appear before others, either retreating into the mountains and forests or vanishing into the crowd, for they were too mysterious, usually appearing only in stories.
Having learned of all the Ancient Language of the Hermit’s Path from Solamus, Xilan began to meditate in quiet seclusion.
His unwavering commitment to the mission was surely noticed by God.
"God... what do you want Xilan to do on earth?"
Solamus stood beside Him, looking out from a high place.
"Be a Hermit."
Chen Yi said softly.
Solamus lifted his face and smiled,
"You must be joking."
Chen Yi did not deny it.
"So what exactly should he do?"
Solamus asked again, his curiosity peaking.
In Heaven, the elf Xilan was the only mortal who had never died.
What kind of mission required this Prophet Disciple to implement it on earth?
"Solamus, I can tell you.
It’s nothing significant, but don’t tell anyone else."
Chen Yi advised.
Solamus nodded repeatedly.
The Angel Leader knew that if anyone else had asked, God would not have revealed it.
But it was different for him, as he meticulously followed God’s mission. Regardless of what he heard or saw, he seldom did anything unnecessary, and God trusted him.
"I want him to go to earth to quell a conflict."
Chen Yi explained slowly.
"What do you mean?"
Solamus couldn’t help but ask.
"Remember what happened when My Kingdom descended upon the earth?"
God did not answer directly but instead led gently.
"The earth was in calamity, and there was... a chaotic battle among the Gods."
Solamus said, suddenly looking up,
"God, are you saying...
Will earth face another disaster due to a new era?"
Chen Yi responded:
"It is for this reason that Xilan needs to go and quell the conflict.
He must stop it all before the contradictions escalate.
Not only to stop the mortal’s warfare but also to quell the turmoil among the stars."
At that moment, Solamus had a moment of realization, and his gaze towards Xilan intensified a few degrees.

Above the Sea of Souls.
Schiller had anticipated the reaction of the Gods.
As a Great Angel, following God through countless days and nights, witnessing the changes of thousands of years, most of the divinities in the Celestial Kingdom did not live as long as he did.
Schiller was almost an existence from the same era as Shan’en.
But that former King of Gods had vanished, and the throne in the Golden Hall had been vacant for ten thousand years. The Gods had lost their King and gradually their vitality to govern the Mortal World.
The Gods were thrown into panic by the discovery of the Divine Path.
"They are making too much of it; they could ascend through the Path as well."
Sofia, seeming like a sage wise beyond her years, lazily lounged on her couch, yawning as she spoke.
"Not everyone sees as clearly as you do."
Schiller spoke up,
"However, I’m surprised that the Gods noticed the Divine Path so quickly."
Sofia lifted her eyes and asked,
"What would not surprise you?"
Schiller leisurely replied,
"I originally thought it would take nearly a century for the Gods to notice anything amiss, but... it seems I was too naive."
At that moment, the Fairy Queen laughed unexpectedly.
"What are you laughing at?"
Schiller turned his head, dissatisfied,
"You are an angel, isn’t naivety inherent?"
Sofia said somewhat schemingly.
Schiller turned his head again and sighed helplessly,
"So, what do you plan to do? It might not be long before the Gods guess that it was you who discovered the Path of Divine Creation."
Sofia paused and speculated,
"Are you going to deny it outright, ignore it, or..."
Before she could finish, Schiller suddenly stood up, his Six Wings unfurling as he looked towards the distant horizon with vigilant eyes, piercing through to the edge of the Sea of Souls.
"The Gods are here."
That single sentence caused a huge upheaval in Sofia’s heart.
She couldn’t help but murmur,
"This is indeed unexpected."
Schiller did not respond to her, instead, the Great Angel flapped his Six Wings, transforming his figure into a streak of light, sweeping towards the edge of the Sea of Souls.
Sofia suddenly looked up and cursed,
"Damn, wait for me."
Then, she fluttered her own transparent wings, straining to keep up.

Represented by the Dream God Laren, seven Divine Beings arrived at the Sea of Souls.
They stood upon the azure expanse of the Cloud Sea, these Divine Beings walking somewhat aimlessly, astonished to find that the Cloud Sea was continuously changing, as if their own fluctuating emotions were being projected onto it.
At this moment, the Cloud Sea was dark and gloomy, seemingly signifying the Divine Beings’ fear.
The seven Divine Beings were representing the Gods.
As they walked on, looking around, they soon noticed the fairies on the Sea of Souls, whom the Gods initially disregarded, but after a few more glances, realized with shock that these fairies had no physical form but were a kind of life rooted in the spirit.
The elves poked out their heads, their large eyes inspectively sizing up these uninvited guests.
"How novel, they are even more ethereal than snowflakes, yet they are indeed living beings," mused Winter God Skadi.
"Thank you for your compliment, Lady Skadi."
Suddenly, a voice, from nowhere, resonated precisely by Skadi’s ear.
Skadi looked up just to see a streak of light coming from afar.
"However, might I ask you to leave now?
My kingdom is not yet ready to receive guests."
As his speech ended, Schiller had already appeared before the Gods.
The Great Angel with his Six Wings fully spread, floating above the mists, a boundless radiance enveloping the seven Divine Beings, his eyes glittering like morning stars, his every gesture exuding an authority not inferior to that of the Divine Beings themselves.
The seven Divine Beings involuntarily took a few steps back.
Schiller looked down from on high at this group of Divine Beings,
"I know why you have come looking for me."
The Dream God Laren lifted his head,
"Since that is so... you should know what we desire.
Great Angel, what you have done has shaken the entire Celestial Kingdom.
The stars weep, and all the Gods are enraged,
and to stop all this, we want to hide that power and make the Path of Divine Creation a taboo not even spoken of by Divine Beings."
The rest of the six Divine Beings echoed in support, this request was not just their own idea, but the collective will of all the Gods.
This vast Celestial Kingdom, no one can predict the course of the future, even Divine Beings, revered by mortals, tremble before the flow of eras.
"You want me to hide it, yet it is a power created by God Himself, like the fierce sun in the sky, it cannot be concealed," Schiller retorted coldly.
"But there are always clouds that can obscure the harsh sun, right?" Skadi then looked up and said.
Winter God Skadi was not as vehement as the other Divine Beings, but she too did not wish for mortals to possess this power.
She felt that mortals were not yet ready to handle such power; after all, mortals are merely mortals.
As for when mortals would be prepared, Skadi was unsure and did not care to know.
Faced with the demands of the Gods, Schiller stood his ground, continuing,
"No, since I have discovered the Path of Divine Creation, I will not seal its trace in this world."
Schiller’s defiance stirred the anger of the seven Divine Beings, who glared furiously at the Great Angel before them.
The seven Divine Beings had come with the intention to negotiate, and if negotiations failed, then they would threaten, and if threats failed... there would only be one option left.
"Great Angel, we do not wish to hurt you, for you are the messenger of our Father," a Divine Being warned in a lowered voice.
"Do as you will, whatever you do, I can in advance ask our Lord, and none will be subjected to His punishment," Schiller’s words further stirred the tension in the air.
These Divine Beings, having stepped into the Sea of Souls without his permission, and also wanting him to hide the Path of Divine Creation, betraying God’s mission,
Under such affront, how could Schiller show them any good will.
"It’s time to stop; mortals cannot bear such power, if you could cease now, the Gods will remember your goodwill."
The Dream God Laren suddenly spoke out loudly:
"Do you really want to oppose us, to defy all the Gods by yourself?!"
Only to hear the Great Angel calmly drop a sentence,
"So what?"
