Only I Level Up By Shoveling-Chapter 90: "A Boycott"
Seeing Castra’s bewildered look, the female spirit looked even more apologetic as she whispered,
"You really have to pay a deposit to secure a house here...didn’t the officer at the administration building tell you?"
? No one told him!
Castra subtly felt a strange feeling, as if the whole world was conspiring against him but thinking about his house, he quickly thanked the female spirit and browsed through the system panel with a dark face.
This house is gone, that one too, that one is even more expensive...
Castra looked for a suitable house for a full ten minutes but didn’t find a suitable one at all.
The cheap ones were already fully booked while the others were way too expensive.
100.000 spirit coins per month? Just rob him!
As Castra wandered around the street, the sky slowly darkened and the sun went down.
The spirits who were loitering at the street slowly went home, leaving only dim oil lamps illuminating the streets.
"Duuu..."
Master...are we lost?
Or...
The toilet spirit, who had been trudging along all day, couldn’t help but probe,
"Uh, are we homeless?"
That one question stabbed Castra’s heart and he had an urge to curse.
"This spirit world is too toxic! What the hell was wrong with those people? What did I do wrong??"
Castra knew that he had been targeted but to this extent? What for??
He had never offended anyone!
Castra plopped down a nearby stone bench and couldn’t help but look at the spirit world’s system again.
This time, he found a new segment that didn’t exist before—
The Spirit Forum.
Castra curiously clicked into it and the interface immediately brought him to the Middle Sky’s forum section with no authority to peek at the Upper Sky’s forum or other forum sections.
Upon opening the forum, a post pinned to the top with a blazing flame "HOT" next to it immediately caught Castra’s eyes.
[Breaking news! A new spirit from the slum has been promoted to the Middle Sky! Click here ••• ]
Castra clicked the post and saw [Poop Shoveler Officer] mentioned so many times that he almost felt dizzy.
Wait, what?? He suddenly became famous among he spirits??
But when Castra read the posts, his face darkened so much that ink could be squeezed out.
These— these people!
Just how much they hate a spirit from the slum??
Wait, no. They were wary of him because he had snatched two spirits’ faiths and after he advanced to D-rank...
He actually snatched a few faith points from other spirits too??
Castra didn’t remember receiving the obvious "faith transfer" notification but his heart couldn’t help but tremble.
Damn it. No wonder those spirits acted as if he stole their wifes—
He actually did!
What Castra didn’t know is that, these spirits had already secretly contacted their VIP summoners to spread the news, and now, his name was mentioned in the Summoner Forum.
[1st Floor: Hey, is it true that no C-rank and D-rank spirits will answer my summon if I dare to summon the Poop Shoveling Officer Spirit?]
[2nd Floor: It’s not that bad, but I heard the majority of C-rank and D-rank spirits are boycotting him.]
[3rd floor: Uh, I have subconsciously switched faith to him...what to do? I need C-rank and D-rank spirits!]
[4th Floor: For those who switched faith— quick, get back your faith points! You don’t want to offend those spirits, right??]
[5th Floor: It’s not worth it to offend an entire group of C and D-rank spirits just for one spirit, unless he became a B-rank spirit.]
[6th floor: it seems that only unpopular summoners will choose him because other spirits won’t answer their summons.]
Castra was browsing the Spirit Forum when the spirit world’s notification suddenly blared.
BEEP. BEEP. [Your faith points have been transferred away to spirit ••• ]
[Warning! Warning! You have lost 3 faith points! If you don’t get back the faith points in 1 week, you will be demoted!]
?? What?? Someone stole his faith points??
Castra quickly looked at the notification and searched for the notification history and saw that his lost faith points went back to the original spirit.
Ah...did the summoner change hearts so quickly? Won’t the original spirit dislike this kind of fickle summoner?
Castra didn’t know that the summoner went all the way to please their former spirit by blacklisting Castra, vowing to never summon him!
Other cunning summoners even took this chance to butter up the summon spirits, quickly getting their approval and continuing to spread the "Blacklist Poop Shoveler Officer" agenda.
Thankfully, the other summoners who gave Castra faith points were unpopular summoners who didn’t put their faiths in any spirits, so Castra only lost those 3 Faith Points.
Still, seeing the warning about being demoted, Castra couldn’t help but fret.
Demoted? After what he had done all this time??
No wonder those spirits were furious when their summoners transfer away the faith points—
It was like asking for their lives!
But Castra couldn’t do anything about the loss of faith points...
Not in the mood to find a new house, Castra trudged away to the portal and went to the Beast Paradise.
Fck all humanoid spirits. Beasts are better than humans!
Beast Paradise
Castra immediately went to the Cat Tower Mountain and climbed all the way up in silence, so silent that the toilet spirit, Poo and Dudu felt awkward.
Uhhh their masters/hosts look terrifying...
As Castra arrived at the top of the cat tower mountain, the familiar orange cat was lounging on a flat rock, moonbathing under the night sky.
Castra hasn’t even said anything when the cat’s ears twitched and the cat immediately sprung to its feet, stretching its body lazily before slowly walking towards Castra.
"Meowwww. Look who is this, the unfilial slave, huh?"
Garfin snorted and Castra lowered his head apologetically.
"Ah, I’m sorry, your majesty...I didn’t mean too— "
"Fufufu, so you’re here, my dear little slave~ "
A cold, mocking voice suddenly rang from above and Castra’s whole body stiffened.
This- this voice!!
