Only the cult leader accepted my confession.-Chapter 18 - : I Am So Disappointed in You
Chapter 18 - 18: I Am So Disappointed in You
Nie Qing gazed at herself in the mirror—her figure was, by all accounts, superior to any other woman's. In her mind, if she were a man, she'd have single-handedly set off a crime spree just to indulge her every primal desire. Yet here she was, expecting Ye Shu to be utterly overwhelmed by her charms. Instead, his expression screamed, "I saw it all—and I'm not even impressed."
Her heart sank. "Is it because he doesn't like me, or is it my fault?" she wondered in exasperation. This wasn't what she had planned! She'd come here, sleeves rolled up, to test him—Master Luo Jiuyan's little "sincerity test"—but his reaction was as flat as a deflated balloon.
"Big Sister, please stop testing me!" Ye Shu protested, his voice a mix of genuine indignation and forced righteousness. "I'm devoted to the Dao, and I strictly follow our iron-blooded sect rules! I've long since given up on all those silly romantic notions!"
Even as he proclaimed this, his eyes kept darting to the perfectly round curves he was supposed to ignore. He'd already deduced that Nie Qing's late-night visit wasn't about seduction on purpose—it was a test. (Or so he hoped, because if it wasn't, then Master Luo Jiuyan's methods were downright cruel!)
"Test? What test? What are you talking about?" Nie Qing asked, feigning confusion as she edged closer. It was now blatantly obvious: she wasn't testing him on a shallow level—she was practically trying to seduce him!
In a desperate bid to make him slip up, she pressed even closer. A warm, enticing breeze swirled around them. Ye Shu, suddenly feeling like a deer caught in headlights—or perhaps a little girl pinned by a playground bully—began edging away, but Nie Qing was relentless, pinning him against the wall.
Then, with an absurdly loud BAM!, a delightful waft of her "signature" body scent hit him like a truck. Ye Shu's eyes bulged as he tried to process the overwhelming closeness. He realized, to his horror, that he was literally pressed against the wall by her. Only someone as domineering (and slightly overenthusiastic) as Nie Qing could do that—and certainly not Master Luo Jiuyan, who was usually too prim and proper for such antics.
"Big Sister, please, don't be impulsive! The sect has rules—don't act recklessly!" Ye Shu mumbled, hugging himself as if trying to shield his fragile manhood from her advances. For a moment, he felt like a terrified little girl pinned by a playground bully.
Nie Qing, despite herself, was starting to question her own tactics. Am I really doing this just to drive him out of the sect? she mused, half in amusement and half in self-reproach. "If I didn't need to teach you a lesson, I'd never stoop to seduction," she thought. "But for the good of our reputation and to protect the honor of our Demon Son... I must!"
In a melodramatic tone, she cooed, "Junior Brother Ye, I just want to see if you've changed lately."
Ye Shu, bewildered and increasingly convinced that this was all part of some elaborate trap set by Master Luo Jiuyan, stammered, "Ah... what test? What are you even talking about?"
His mind raced—this was all too surreal. He was sure Nie Qing was testing his sincerity (again!), and if he didn't play along, he'd be in even deeper trouble. "I... I'm sorry if I've done anything wrong. I swear I have no improper thoughts about you!" he insisted, his tone pleading yet awkward. Meanwhile, his eyes continued to wander, betraying his inner conflict.
Nie Qing's face flushed even deeper, and she muttered, "Just admit it, you've been staring, you pervert!"
Ye Shu, realizing the precariousness of his situation, shook his head vigorously. "Big Sister, I'm not a pervert! I'm a devoted disciple who respects the Dao!"
Then, exasperated beyond measure, he reached out impulsively and smacked her with his palm. Smack!—a soft, jiggly impact echoed as her body reacted like overripe jelly.
"Ow! What the—?" Nie Qing gasped, covering her chest and stumbling back in shock.
"Big Sister, I'm so disappointed in you!" Ye Shu declared in a faux-majestic tone, as if reciting a tragic epic.
For a brief, ridiculous moment, Ye Shu truly felt a pang of regret—almost as if he'd grown up just a bit. But then he quickly realized that he had just assaulted his very own senior sister!
Nie Qing, recovering her composure (and dignity), glared at him, trying to scold him with all the ferocity of a frustrated martial artist. "Stop making excuses! I can clearly see you had bad intentions tonight! Admit it—your eyes betrayed you!"

Ye Shu, flustered and red-faced, mumbled, "I... I did not! I—uh—" He struggled to find a coherent excuse, but his eyes darted around, pleading for a loophole in this absurd scenario.
In that moment, Nie Qing's anger gave way to a blend of exasperation and reluctant amusement. "I am so disappointed in you, Junior Brother Ye," she sighed, half-indignant, half-sighing as if burdened by a tragic fate. "For a man who claims to be devoted to the Dao, you're as susceptible to temptation as a kitten in a room full of yarn."
Ye Shu hung his head in mock sorrow. "I truly don't know what to say, Big Sister. I... I promise I'll work on my—uh—self."
Nie Qing glared, her eyes a mix of stern reprimand and something softer—maybe even a hint of admiration for his sheer absurdity. "That's all you need to say. Now, get out of my sight before you test my patience further!"
As Ye Shu slunk away, still trying to process the surreal, comical, and utterly mortifying exchange, he resolved internally: Next time, I'll stick to my cultivation and leave the seduction experiments to the professionals... or at least, to someone who isn't me.
And with that, the Tiansha Palace remained a stage for endless absurdity—and for Nie Qing, a senior sister with a newfound doubt in her own methods, and Ye Shu, a hapless, perpetually flustered disciple who just couldn't seem to keep his wits about him.
