Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 338 - 325: Drinking Soup
Even though Sienna Thornton was drunk, she could still walk. Her face was flushed beyond belief, and she kept laughing, always wanting to touch Simon Forrester.
Perhaps the alcohol warmed her up, because while waiting for the car in the near-zero outdoor temperature, she didn’t complain about the cold. Instead, she kept saying she was hot and wanted to take off her coat.
Fortunately, Simon Forrester held her tightly, waiting in the cold for a while until they finally hailed a taxi.
Once in the car, after communicating the destination with the driver, Simon Forrester pulled her into his arms, adjusted himself into a comfortable position, and leaned back with her.
Watching the Montparnasse Tower disappear into the distance behind them, he laughed and said, "I originally wanted to take you to the Champagne Bar after dinner, but look at you, you got yourself drunk and couldn’t go back."
Sienna Thornton buried her face in his neck, wrapped her arms around his waist, and murmured, "Then let’s go tomorrow night..."
"We have other plans tomorrow night."
"Fine! Then let’s go next year..."
Simon Forrester stretched his neck, making more space for her to snuggle, gently rubbing her hair with the arm that embraced her.
He laughed, "Next year? I’ll definitely have time; will you?"
Upon hearing this, Sienna Thornton giggled, making his neck itch.
She pouted, accidentally brushing against his neck with her lips.
Simon Forrester looked down at her for a moment, touched her flushed cheek with his hand, kissed her forehead gently, and said helplessly, "If you can find a month next year to have a wedding and a honeymoon, I’d be grateful to the heavens."
"I probably can... I’ll arrange it then... Such a big event like a wedding... I will definitely make time for it..."
Simon Forrester’s lips curled up, "Really?"
"Of course!" Sienna Thornton looked up and kissed the corner of his lips, then softly called out, "Husband..."
At that moment, the world fell silent.
Sienna Thornton nestled back into his neck.
He stared blankly ahead, the car speeding towards the satellite city direction. The streets of Lumeria at night were bustling and vibrant.
But their small world was unbelievably tranquil and gentle.
After a long time, he replied in a low voice — "Wife."
After saying this, the arms hugging his waist suddenly tightened, making his neck itch once more.
Sienna Thornton snuggled against him a few more times.
"I don’t like it when you call me ’wife’..."
He chuckled, "Then what do you want me to call you?"
"Candy..." She giggled with sweet silliness, "That’s your exclusive name for me..."
He immediately thought, when if she returned to the Thorne Family, and Quentin wanted her to change her surname to "Sienna Thorne," should he give her a new nickname then?
Thorne... Thorne-Thorne?
Sounds good.
He took a deep breath, held her tighter, and kissed her flushed cheek, "Candy, I love you."
"I love you too."

Back at Sylvia Langley’s house, Simon Forrester helped the unsteady Sienna Thornton into the home.
Sylvia Langley was in the living room, applying a face mask and watching TV. Seeing that Sienna Thornton was drunk, she quickly removed her mask and rushed to the door to help Simon Forrester bring her inside.
"Why did you drink so much?" Sylvia Langley quickly called to the maid, "Mrs. Chandler, quickly make some hangover soup for the young lady!"
Simon Forrester didn’t speak, unwilling to explain too much. Yet, Sienna Thornton, who was nestled in his embrace, suddenly stood to attention, and bowed to Sylvia Langley, saying, "I’m sorry, Auntie, I drank a bit too much tonight, it went to my head, sorry..."
"Stop saying so much, go wash your face and rest first!" Sylvia Langley said, propping up one of Sienna Thornton’s arms, she and Simon Forrester together helped her to a room on the second floor.
They laid Sienna Thornton on the bed, Simon Forrester went to find a clean pair of pajamas, and Sylvia Langley went to the bathroom to wring out a hot towel to help Sienna Thornton wipe her face and neck.
After wiping, she went downstairs to check if the hangover soup was ready, and after closing the door, Simon Forrester began changing Sienna Thornton’s pajamas. Once changed, the hangover soup was brought up.
Simon Forrester took the soup from Sylvia Langley, sat Sienna Thornton up so she leaned against him, and seeing Sylvia Langley standing in front watching, he expressionlessly gestured towards the door with his chin, indicating for her to leave.
Sylvia Langley muttered "you brat" and shut the door as she left.
Once the door closed, Simon Forrester’s expressionless face instantly turned tender and loving. Holding Sienna Thornton, he gently rubbed her cheek with his palm, and softly called, "Candy, wake up and drink the soup."
"I want to sleep..."
"Be good, drink a few sips and then sleep, otherwise you’ll wake up with a headache tomorrow morning."
"I don’t want to drink..." Sienna Thornton said, her body leaning sideways, trying to roll back into bed to sleep.
Simon Forrester pulled her back into his arms, "If you don’t drink, I’ll have to feed you, okay?"
"Okay..."
Tonight, it turned into drinking candy.

The next day, after waking, Sienna Thornton lay under the covers with a splitting headache.
She patted her head and couldn’t find her phone anywhere, so she called out to wake Simon Forrester, "Hey, where’s my phone?"
The little hand tapping his chest was suddenly grabbed, pulling her directly onto him.
"Annoying! Where’s my phone?" She pressed against his chest, trying to get up.
He opened his eyes to look at her, reached over to the bedside table on his side, and handed her a black phone.
She lay back, unlocked the screen, and glanced at the time: "It’s past nine, should we get up? Aren’t we going to pick out jewelry today?"
Simon Forrester made a sleepy affirmative noise without saying much, seeming to fall back asleep. Feeding Sienna Thornton soup last night had worn him out too.
Sienna Thornton kicked his foot once, used her thumb to unlock the phone with the home button, and realized that the wallpaper was her photo, realizing Simon Forrester had given her the wrong phone.
Seeing him sound asleep, she didn’t bother to wake him, but climbed over him to find her phone, identical to his, on his nightstand.
She got up, washed up, brushed her teeth while checking emails and messages, and after a while, the bathroom door opened, and Simon Forrester came in, saying "Good morning," and casually used the toilet behind her.
She rinsed her mouth, looked at him in the mirror, and said directly, "You really have no reservations with me now!"
Simon Forrester pulled up his pants, walked over, and asked, "No reservations?"
His face looking dazed and sleepy.
Sienna Thornton laughed, "Why did you record my fingerprint on your phone? So that I can directly check it?"
"It’s a proposal gift."
Sienna Thornton shook her head in disbelief, turned around, leaned her lower back against the sink, folded her arms, and looked at him, "What should I say about you? If I say you’re perfunctory, you’re giving your privacy to me. If I say you’re sincere, you know I won’t check your phone."
