Out of Control: Into Your Everything-Chapter 198: I Like You the Most!
Receiving the sudden embrace from his girlfriend had become a habit for Julian Ford. He didn’t hesitate or question; whenever she hugged him, whatever the situation, he would firmly hold her.
So was the case now.
Quiet sobbing sounds came from the nook of his neck.
In all that Julian Ford said, not once did he mention how he was in the past.
But Scarlett Shaw, in his cold voice, recalled the details of that photograph.
At that time, she had taken it for granted that the photo depicted Julian Ford and Ryan Ford, not thinking first of the fact that they were brothers, but rather at the sight on the photo; the younger boy beaming wildly, while the elder one appeared calm and distant, rarely smiling.
She had misunderstood from the beginning.
Originally, her Julian Ford had once smiled carefreely like that.
How a person becomes someone else over a long period, enduring loneliness and struggle, the pain unimaginable to others.
Let alone Julian Ford himself.
Scarlett Shaw lifted her head from Julian Ford’s neck and stared at him in a daze, "So what Rhonda first told me about your openly celebrated birthday, is it your brother’s..."
Julian Ford gazed intensely at her.
He hadn’t expected her to catch on so quickly.
"Don’t feel sad for me, although I’ve always tried to play my brother’s role in front of my parents, I’ve always been myself."
He wiped her tears away, his dark eyes with profound, sovereign possessiveness as he said:
"Scarlett, the one you love can only be the real me and nobody else. I won’t let anyone else reside in your heart again."
Like suddenly sinking into scalding, fervent hot spring water, making the whole body soft and pleasant.
The spring flowed to her throat, Scarlett Shaw hugged her boyfriend tightly.
"I like you most!"
She declared passionately in his ear.
Leaving the dessert shop, the sun had moved towards the west, and the sunlight was no longer fiercely scorching.
The couple walked side by side towards home.
For Julian Ford, time was unquestionably the most precious thing; even a year ago, idly strolling on the street for a long time felt like a meaningless waste.
But the person beside him was Scarlett Shaw.
Even the ordinary moments turned immensely precious.
During the twilight hour, the horizon was tinted with romantic rouge by the sunset, like a rose salt lake covered in algae.
An airplane passed by, leaving a white contrail in the reddened sky, clouds slipped and condensed like fallen meteors.
"Julian Ford."
In the romantic sunset, the most romantic female voice sounded in the ears.
Julian Ford looked down, meeting Scarlett Shaw’s beautiful eyes reflecting the complete rosy-colored sky.
She looked at him with a mix of disbelief and a mischievous pride, saying,"So, I’m the only one, after your brother left, who spent your birthday with you."
Indeed.
Julian Ford silently looked at her.
But she reacted faster than he imagined, her cat tail gleefully lifted, as if the next moment she would trample directly on his heart.
Predictably, the person made grand boasts:
"Julian Ford, wasn’t last year you already quite fond of me on your birthday?"
Otherwise, why tell such an important and secretive day only to her?
Even letting her stay with him all day, sharing dinner, kissing, eating cake.
Scarlett Shaw’s tail lifted higher, completely shedding the earlier distressed and saddened pitiful look, Julian Ford naturally didn’t want to encourage her antics.
Although that day at the restaurant, when those girls wanted to add him as a friend, he instinctively let Scarlett unknowingly act as his girlfriend.
Yet, if she knows such things, wouldn’t she increasingly have him firmly under her control?
"If thinking like this satisfies your vanity, you may continue to think so."
The man’s smile remained as dangerous and warning as ever.
A perfectly lined, cold face carrying a forbidding indifference.
But Scarlett Shaw wasn’t afraid.
Though her tail lifted, so did her feet.
Like that night of bustling traffic and twinkling lights, when he unexpectedly kissed her, amidst romantic sunset, Scarlett gave her most cherished boyfriend a devout and passionate kiss, offering the sincerest affection.
...
The consequence of being too proactive was that they didn’t even return home, straight away checking into a nearby five-star hotel.
Her waist tingled.
Scarlett Shaw was pinned underneath Julian Ford, her wrists restrained, pressed on either side of her head.
The most primal, clear position to see each other.
She shouldn’t have been distracted, but at such a time, she couldn’t help but voice brokenly, "After your surgery, will our life quality decrease..."
"..."
The life quality mentioned in bed, the meaning couldn’t be clearer.
Julian Ford’s effortful motions paused.
The next moment, Scarlett Shaw deeply regretted her blurted out words.
Out of all times to provoke him, she picked such a moment.
The result of suffering bore no one else but herself?
Scarlett Shaw’s inadvertent question was greatly damaging, even insulting her boyfriend.
For several days, seeming to prove something, Scarlett returned to Cloud Mansion every day with a distinctly increased workout routine.
Of course, she was the one forced to increase.
Until Julian Ford officially checked into the hospital, only a week remained until the end of June.
Scarlett had things to attend to on that day, unable to accompany him.
Dr. Lawson came to briefly discuss the surgery arrangement and subsequent treatment with Julian Ford, and not long after leaving the ward, Ezra Ford in professional attire walked in.
Julian Ford glanced calmly at Ezra Ford, calling him Dad.
Ezra Ford’s brows shifted slightly.
He thought after that day, his cold-hearted son would completely sever ties with him and Freya Pierce.
But that’s not quite accurate.
Julian Ford cold-hearted only to him and Freya Pierce.
With Josiah Sutton, a friend, and Ryan Ford, a brother, their relationships were deeper than his with them.
Not to mention, Scarlett Shaw.
Ezra Ford’s heavy gaze was fully grasped by Julian Ford, who nonchalantly said, "I won’t spend energy playing childish games with you; right now I only want to get well, during this period, don’t disrupt my peace."
Ezra Ford’s heavy breath condensed in his chest.
Wanting to lash out, but recalling Josiah Sutton’s words from that day, he restrained himself.
Rarely patient and said gently, "Your mother is staying home now, I won’t let her disturb you, but you are my son, during your treatment, I can’t just ignore it."
