Chapter 27: Zhao Meilin’s Appointment 2

After Arnold Johnson dropped off Victoria Garcia at her house, Victoria didn’t go home. Instead, she waited for Arnold’s car to drive away and took the subway back to school.

Upon returning to her dormitory, Victoria glanced at her class schedule. There were only a few classes left, and once this semester was over, she’d be a year closer to graduation.

“Victoria, exams are coming up, can I please borrow your notes?” her roommate, Serenity Brown, asked with a smile, clinging to her.

Victoria casually pulled out her notes and handed them to Serenity.

Not afraid to sound cheesy, Serenity said, “Victoria, I love you!”

Students who get into Authority University are the best talents of Authority Country. Yet, even in Authority, there were students who fail their courses, and Serenity was one of them.

“Victoria…” Serenity had taken the notes but didn’t leave. Instead, she got even closer to Victoria.

Victoria gave her a blank stare, questioning “What now?”

After humming and hawing for a long time, Victoria still couldn’t understand what Serenity was trying to say.

Victoria rolled her eyes at Serenity and said, “Just say what you need to say. If you have nothing to say, go and study.”

In the dormitory, Serenity was the only person who could tolerate Victoria’s cold temperament.

In Serenity’s eyes, Victoria wasn’t cold or indifferent. To her, Victoria was outwardly reserved but inwardly warm and tender-hearted.

“Alexander Mitchell…he’s been here several times,” Serenity couldn’t bear it anymore and had to tell Victoria.

“Well, just tell him I don’t stay in the dormitory next time,” Victoria said, not caring much about how others talked behind her back about her frequent stays away from the dorm.

Unable to hold back, Serenity said, “Alexander looks like a completely changed person. Even I, with a heart of stone, feel pity for him.”

Victoria’s heart skipped a beat, though her face didn’t reveal much.

Observing Victoria, Serenity continued, “That night before last, he was drunk downstairs in our dormitory building. The lady wouldn’t let him in, but he was intoxicated and pushed his way into our dormitory, calling your name loudly. He wouldn’t stop no matter how much we told him you didn’t stay in the dormitory. He just kept calling your name, asking you to come out.”

Serenity couldn’t describe the scene, but it weighed heavily on her heart, making her feel that Victoria was being too harsh on him.

Everyone in the Management Department of Authority University knew Alexander pursued Victoria. Similarly, they all knew she had never accepted him.

“Okay,” Victoria acknowledged with a nod, signaling she was informed.

Seeing her reaction, Serenity pressed on, “Alexander has looks and family background, and he’s deeply devoted to you. He’s been chasing you for six years; even a heart of stone should be softened by now.”

If a man treated Serenity like that, she would definitely throw herself at him without hesitation, allowing him to have his way…
