Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 105: His First Woman Wasn’t Her
Chapter 105: Chapter 105: His First Woman Wasn’t Her
She had struggled so hard to get in, struggled so hard for the chance to stay by his side; she couldn’t leave!
"No, I won’t go. Thomas...Young Master, I know I was wrong! Please give me another chance, okay?"
Amelia Shaw’s legs gave way, and she collapsed to the ground, pleading desperately, "Young Master, I really know I was wrong! I will remember my identity as a servant. Please, don’t make me leave..."
Charlie River tried to pull her up several times, but she was limp and couldn’t be moved.
With a troubled expression, he looked up. "Young Master, what do you think?"
Thomas Shannon’s face darkened, his deep eyes fixed intently on Amelia Shaw. After a long pause, he said coldly, "Still haven’t left?"
Amelia Shaw hesitated for a moment. Realizing he didn’t intend to kick her out, she sniffed and quickly scrambled to her feet.
"Alright, I’ll leave right away." She turned and walked slowly out of the bedroom.
Charlie River gave a slight nod and also left the bedroom.
Leaning against the headboard, Sophie Sullivan gave a disdainful snort and lay down.
Thomas Shannon unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt and came to the bedside, looming over Sophie Sullivan. "You’re not satisfied?"
"It’s not that I’m unsatisfied, it’s that she’s overestimating herself."
Sophie Sullivan gazed at him, the corners of her lips curling slightly. "Since you still have feelings for your old flame, why make her toil so hard as a mere servant?"
"Wouldn’t it be better to just let her be by your side properly?"
Veins bulged on Thomas Shannon’s forehead, and his hand clenched into a fist, the veins on the back of it standing out sharply.
"Shut up!"
Sophie Sullivan tugged at the corner of her mouth. "If you like her, then go after her. What’s there to hide?"
Besides, he doesn’t even need to chase her personally now.
Amelia Shaw has already delivered herself to his doorstep, just waiting for his nod to rekindle their old flame. What’s he hesitating for?
Thomas Shannon’s eyes glinted fiercely as he glared at her. "Get out!"
Sophie Sullivan threw off the silk quilt, got out of bed, and walked straight out without a backward glance.
Fine, I’ll get out.
What a foul-tempered brute!
He’s just flying into a rage because I hit a sore spot.
Still, getting kicked out now, if Amelia Shaw sees it, she’ll have something new to gloat about. freewebnoveℓ.com
Sophie Sullivan had to give herself some credit; even at a time like this, she still had the presence of mind to consider these things.
Leaving the bedroom, she went downstairs.
Sure enough, she ran into Amelia Shaw downstairs.
Amelia Shaw was sitting on the sofa, her emotions still unsettled, and she was sobbing softly. Charlie River stood beside her, apparently offering her a tissue.
Sophie Sullivan watched this scene with interest. Charlie River was Thomas Shannon’s personal bodyguard and capable assistant, after all.
His attentiveness towards Amelia Shaw... was it on Thomas Shannon’s orders?
Amelia Shaw paused in wiping her tears and looked at Sophie Sullivan, her gaze holding a barely perceptible sneer.
Unfazed, Sophie Sullivan strode towards the exit, her head held high. Her spine was perfectly straight, her delicate chin slightly raised, exuding an air of supreme arrogance.
Even if she was being driven away now, she would leave with her dignity intact.
Not like a certain someone, all whimpers and tears...
"Maniac, where are you going this late?" Amelia Shaw’s soft, gentle voice sounded from behind her.
Sophie Sullivan didn’t pause in her stride. "Go ahead and laugh all you want on the inside; this pretense of kindness doesn’t suit you."
Leaving those words behind, she headed to the backyard of her own accord.
And returned to this bedroom that was hers.
She lifted the quilt, lay down, closed her eyes, and emptied her mind. Soon, she fell asleep.
"Charlie River, regardless, thank you." Amelia Shaw stood up and offered him a gentle smile.
