Chapter 104: Chapter 104: Please Don’t Drive Me Away

She stood still. The maid, feeling it was inappropriate to say more, went to find Thomas Shannon.

Thomas Shannon, who was in a video conference, was interrupted once again.

A touch of annoyance appeared on his handsome brow. "What in the world is going on?"

The maid knelt, trembling. "Young Master, the maniac said Amelia Shaw wants to kill her..."

Charlie River looked puzzled. Amelia Shaw wants to kill the maniac? If it was the maniac who wanted to kill Amelia Shaw, he would believe it. But Amelia Shaw killing the maniac? He didn’t believe that.

Thomas Shannon ended the video conference and stood up. His tall, imposing figure exuded a fierce anger as he strode out of the study room.

The bedroom was brilliantly lit, the light from above illuminating Amelia Shaw’s pale face, making her look even more pitiable. Sophie Sullivan leaned against the head of the bed, one hand to her forehead, feeling drowsy. Neither of them spoke.

The regular sound of footsteps approached from a distance.

Sophie Sullivan laughed, a smirk playing on her lips as she glanced sideways at Amelia Shaw. "Who do you think Thomas Shannon will help?"

Amelia Shaw bit her lip, her lower lip becoming even more glistening and moist from the pressure. She couldn’t believe Thomas Shannon would fall for such nonsense.

A man exuding a cold aura stepped into the bedroom.

The air in the room instantly grew heavy, the pressure dropping.

Sophie Sullivan’s smile vanished, her eyes, now hazy, fixed on Thomas Shannon.

Thomas Shannon coolly appraised her before his gaze shifted to the tearful Amelia Shaw.

His deep voice was devoid of warmth, utterly merciless. "Who allowed you to come in?"

Amelia Shaw looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "I..."

"Thomas Shannon, she wants to kill me," Sophie Sullivan chimed in, clearly enjoying the unfolding drama.

Thomas Shannon’s eyes grew sharp as he suddenly looked at her. "Who let you speak?" Amelia Shaw wants to kill her? It’s a wonder she hasn’t attacked Amelia Shaw first.

Sophie Sullivan was immediately somewhat annoyed by his shout. Amelia Shaw, however, smiled, the corners of her mouth lifting. Tears still welled in her eyes, on the verge of falling, making her look wet-eyed and pitiful. "Thomas, I just wanted to help you tidy up the bedroom. I didn’t expect the maniac to slander me like this."

"Do you take him for a fool?" Sophie Sullivan snorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Coming to tidy his bedroom late at night... who knows if you genuinely wanted to tidy up, or if you harbor ulterior motives."

"You..." Amelia Shaw was speechless. She looked pitifully at Thomas Shannon. "Thomas, you have to believe me."

"What did you call me?" Thomas Shannon’s eyes were dark, his handsome face grim and devoid of any expression.

Amelia Shaw cringed, her voice faltering in fear. "Thomas..."

"You are a servant. Always remember your identity! Is ’Thomas’ something you can call?!" Thomas Shannon suddenly exploded, his voice a low roar.

This woman was truly provoking his authority, time and again. Or did she think that just because she was back, she could act as she pleased, like two years ago?

"Thomas..." Amelia Shaw called out to him blankly, tears streaming down her face.

"It seems you don’t want to be a maidservant anymore." Thomas Shannon’s lips curled into a cold smirk. "Charlie River, get in here!"

Charlie River, waiting outside the bedroom door, heard the command and immediately stepped inside. "Young Master, your orders."

"Throw her out!"

Charlie River glanced at Amelia Shaw, hesitated for one second, then said in a deep voice, "Yes!"

As Charlie River dragged her away, Amelia Shaw realized Thomas Shannon wasn’t joking; he was dead serious. A wave of panic washed over her.
