Chapter 55: Chapter 55: If I didn’t tell you to stop, don’t stop

"I am a businessman, after all." A statement that made his position clear.

Sophie Sullivan thought for a moment, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed the corner of his mouth. "Is this okay?"

Thomas Shannon didn’t seem too interested. He closed his eyes again. "Barely acceptable."

Sophie Sullivan was speechless.

With such high standards, is he judging a beauty pageant?

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.

A knocking sound came from outside the door.

Minimus Hart’s voice followed. "Young Master, may I come in?"

Sophie Sullivan’s blood boiled. Itching for a fight, she jumped off the bed, went to the sofa, and sat down. "Come in."

As Minimus Hart pushed the door open, she saw the maniac sitting on the sofa. From the corner of her eye, she saw Thomas Shannon lying on the bed. She vaguely sensed what was about to happen.

She started towards Thomas Shannon but was stopped halfway by Sophie Sullivan. "Minimus Hart, come to me."

Minimus Hart, who had just been punished, had her back cut open, her clothes soaked with blood.

She looked at Thomas Shannon uncertainly. "Young Master?"

"Listen to her."

Those three low, powerful words seemed to grant Sophie Sullivan supreme power.

The little maniac’s fighting spirit was soaring like a lion cub, just short of howling and showing its sharp claws and fangs.

Minimus Hart hung her head very low. "Yes, Young Master."

Turning, she came before Sophie Sullivan. Minimus Hart asked, "Maniac, what are your orders?"

"Orders? How would I dare order Miss Jane Hart? After all, you’re the leader of the servants. If I offend you, my days will be numbered."

"Maniac, you’re exaggerating. I only uphold justice, not personal grudges. Maybe there’s some misunderstanding?"

"Misunderstanding or not, I don’t want to know."

Sophie Sullivan impatiently crossed her legs, her foot swaying gently. "Kneel down and kowtow to me in apology."

Minimus Hart hesitated.

She had knelt to Thomas Shannon before, and only to him.

What right did this maniac from the asylum have to demand that she kneel to her?

"I told you to kneel. Didn’t you hear me?" Sophie Sullivan raised her voice, her beautiful face as cold as frost.

Minimus Hart lifted her head. "Maniac, there must be some misunderstanding between us..."

"The three absolutes of being a servant, have you forgotten them? Need I remind you what ’absolute obedience’ is?" A cold smile bloomed on Sophie Sullivan’s lips, a ruthless glint flashing in her eyes, gone in an instant.

Minimus Hart opened her mouth to defend herself, but before she could, Sophie Sullivan snatched the kettle from the tea table and splashed the water in her face.

"ARGH..."

The water in the kettle wasn’t boiling, but it was definitely not room temperature either.

Splashed on her face, Minimus Hart immediately cried out in pain.

"This is a small punishment for your disobedience. I’ll say it one last time: kneel."

Minimus Hart covered her face with both hands. Through her fingers, she saw the murderous intent in Sophie Sullivan’s eyes. Resentful, she nevertheless had to bend her knees and kneel.

"Kowtow. Apologize." Sophie Sullivan bit out the words, concise and cold.

One command, one action. Minimus Hart’s head hit the carpet. "I was wrong."

"Continue. I didn’t tell you to stop, so don’t stop. Kowtow until I’m satisfied; apologize until I feel at ease."

Enduring the humiliation, Minimus Hart continued to kowtow. "I’m sorry. I was wrong."

"Haven’t you eaten? Put some effort into it!"

THUD!

"I’m sorry. I was wrong."

Sophie Sullivan sat back down comfortably, leaning against the sofa back with her arms crossed over her chest, coldly watching the woman kneeling before her, kowtowing and apologizing.

What goes around comes around. Sophie Sullivan clearly remembered how Minimus Hart had tormented her when Thomas Shannon was away.

The expensive carpet was stained red with bloodstains.

Sophie Sullivan’s tone was disdainful.
