Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 630 - 633: Lucifer, I am very angry
Pausing for a moment, Derek Clark continued, "I apologize, Miss Cecilia Branford. Please forgive us for not coming downstairs to greet you instantly. We saw Thomas Shannon arrive with his men, so we immediately formulated an escape plan to ensure we could get you away safely."
Sophie smiled. "There’s no need to apologize. You all did very well."
Although a little time was lost, it didn’t affect the outcome.
As the car drove on, Sophie Sullivan couldn’t help but ask, "Where are we going?"
"Back to Country F."
Back to Country F? Sophie Sullivan was entirely unprepared for this. Hearing so suddenly that they were returning to Country F, she was stunned. Will I really return? Will I return to my homeland? Sophie Sullivan was unsure, and she hesitated.
Returning now would actually be very disadvantageous for me. I’m disfigured, I’ve lost my memory, and I can’t distinguish friend from foe. One careless mistake, and I could be exploited by someone with ulterior motives. Besides, if I go back at this time, who would acknowledge my identity? To present myself voluntarily, without any preparation, would be like a sheep walking into a tiger’s den—courting death. The people who harmed me are surely waiting for me to appear so they can eliminate me completely.
"Are there any other places we can go besides Country F?"
Sophie Sullivan didn’t want to return to Country F, at least not now.
Derek Clark fell silent for a moment. Before Lucifer left, he had instructed that if Sophie Sullivan were ever bullied, she was to be taken back to Country F immediately, without hesitation. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Now, Sophie Sullivan’s reaction was far beyond Derek Clark’s expectations.
He didn’t know what to do. "Miss Cecilia Branford, I need to consult His Highness Lucifer."
"Fine, let me talk to him."
Derek Clark averted his gaze. "Please wait a moment, Miss Cecilia Branford."
Derek Clark took out his mobile phone and dialed Lucifer’s number. When the call connected, Derek Clark secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
His Highness’s voice sounded as normal as ever.
"Your Highness, Miss Cecilia Branford has something to discuss with you. I will now hand my phone to her."
Lucifer was startled. Is Cecilia Branford with Derek Clark now? Does that mean Thomas Shannon bullied her?
At this thought, a grim fury flared on Lucifer’s pale face. Damn that Thomas Shannon! How dare he bully my Cecilia Branford!
Derek Clark handed the mobile phone to Sophie Sullivan. She took it and said to Lucifer on the other end, "Lucifer, I’m very angry."
"Who has made my Cecilia Branford angry?" The gloom on Lucifer’s face faded, his eyes gentle and full of doting affection, his voice as low and soft as ever.
"The one who made me angry is you, Lucifer."
"What have I done to make Cecilia Branford angry?"
Sophie Sullivan snorted. "Before you left, I had Leo tell you to call me after you woke up. Did you forget?"
"Oh, really?" Lucifer frowned, then chuckled softly. "That negligent fellow, Leo, he never told me about this."
Leo, standing by the bedside, looked aggrieved. He felt deeply wronged, but he said nothing.
"Is that so?" Sophie Sullivan sounded skeptical. "Fine. Since Leo forgot to tell you, I won’t blame you."
Lucifer’s smile deepened. "My Cecilia Branford is becoming more and more magnanimous."
"Lucifer, I have to leave Country A now, but I don’t want to go back to Country F..."
"Why?" Lucifer’s smile stiffened on the corners of his lips. "Country F is your home. Your home is in Country F. Why don’t you want to come back?"
"..."
Sophie Sullivan’s silence caused Lucifer’s expression to dim slightly. "Cecilia Branford, are you worried I can’t protect you?"
