Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 697 - 700: Thomas Shannon, you are truly disgusting!
"It’s simple," Thomas Shannon’s voice deepened. He brought his thin lips close to her ear, his breath burning hot. "When you’re not here, I can look at these and pretend you’re still by my side. Fennie, as long as you’re by my side, these things won’t appear before you."
So, he was threatening her?
If she left him, these things would become leverage to threaten her?
Absolutely despicable! Utterly infuriating!
"Thomas Shannon, you are truly disgusting!"
Throwing the words at him, Sophie Sullivan shoved him away forcefully. She rushed into the bath chamber, tossed the USB drive in her hand into the toilet, and only felt relieved after watching it flush away.
From behind her, the man’s languid voice sounded, "As you wish. I have backups."
Sophie Sullivan was speechless.
Damn that Thomas Shannon!
Thomas Shannon took off his shirt with one hand and closed the bath chamber door with the other. "Help me with my bath?"
"In your dreams!"
Sophie Sullivan pushed him away again, pulled open the door, and fled.
The night was deep. Sophie Sullivan ran out of the bedroom and hurried downstairs.
Downstairs, servants were still on night duty. She hurried outside.
A servant rushed after her. "Maniac, where are you going so late?"
Sophie Sullivan said nothing and quickly left, heading straight for the medical office.
If I stay with that bastard Thomas Shannon any longer, I’ll go mad!
When Thomas Shannon came out of his bath, he scanned the bedroom; it was empty, with no sign of Sophie Sullivan.
He pulled open the bedroom door and asked the man in black in the corridor, "Where’s the maniac?"
"Young Master, the maniac went downstairs."
Thomas Shannon went downstairs and searched around but still didn’t see Sophie Sullivan. Finally, a nurse from the medical office called to report that Sophie Sullivan had gone to sleep in a room there.
Thomas Shannon snorted coldly, hung up the telephone, and turned to go upstairs.
None of the servants could guess his thoughts; they all lowered their heads in silence, hardly daring to breathe.
Only when his tall figure disappeared from sight did the oppressive atmosphere in the vicinity gradually dissipate.
She had a good night’s sleep.
Sophie Sullivan had thought Thomas Shannon would come to make things difficult for her, but unexpectedly, the night passed peacefully.
When she woke up and finished washing up, she went to find Old Mr. Standford to have breakfast together.
George Standford stared at her as if he’d seen a ghost. "Fiona, did you play the heroine last night, robbing the rich to give to the poor?"
"No." Sophie Sullivan was in low spirits and had no interest in bantering with him.
Seeing she wasn’t looking well, George Standford didn’t press further. The two had breakfast together, and afterward, George Standford wanted to go for a walk.
"I’ll wait for you outside."
Sophie Sullivan left the room first. George Standford glared in exasperation. "Fiona, you ungrateful wretch! At least help me up!"
Stepping onto the lawn in front of the medical office, Sophie Sullivan took a deep breath, finally expelling the tightness from her chest. Just then, she saw Minimus Hart, who appeared to have been neglected, being supported by a nurse for a walk.
Minimus Hart is still here?
Sophie Sullivan narrowed her eyes, staring intently at Minimus Hart. Minimus Hart smiled and said, "What a coincidence."
Sophie Sullivan had thought that after seeing Minimus Hart kneeling in the main hall at the Presidential Mansion that night, Thomas Shannon would have punished her severely.
Now, seeing Minimus Hart unharmed and even being carefully supported by a nurse, Sophie Sullivan realized how foolish she had been.
So, Thomas Shannon... in the end, he really hadn’t done anything to Minimus Hart.
Sophie Sullivan’s voice was cold and contemptuous as she looked at her. "Minimus Hart, if you know what’s good for you, don’t wander around where I can see you. You know I’ve always had a bad temper."
Minimus Hart seemed unfazed. She merely chuckled softly, her eyes holding a hint of pity.
