Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 698 - 701: If you keep pretending to be stupid, I’ll fight you to the death.
After staring at her for a while, Minimus Hart said to the nurse beside her, "Let’s go for a walk over there."
"Okay." The nurse helped her up, and they walked past Sophie Sullivan, heading elsewhere.
As George Stanford was helped out by the nurse, he saw the gloomy look on Sophie Sullivan’s face. He raised his hand and waved it in front of her eyes. "Fiona, are you dumbstruck?"
Sophie Sullivan slapped his hand away impatiently. "Old Mr. Standford, you’re really annoying."
"Am I? Fine, I won’t discuss the surgical plan with you then. I’ll talk to you about it when I’m in a better mood."
George Stanford pretended to turn and walk away. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Upon hearing the words "surgical plan," Sophie Sullivan immediately became serious. She rushed in front of George Stanford. "Old Mr. Standford, what did you just say?"
"I’m not in a good mood."
"No, you said you wanted to discuss the surgical plan with me?"
George Stanford looked at the sky. "You heard wrong."
Heard wrong? How could she have heard wrong!
Sophie Sullivan grabbed his shoulders with both hands and shook him violently. "Old Mr. Standford, if you keep playing dumb, I’ll fight you!"
"Alright, alright." George Stanford felt a headache coming from her shaking. "I’m really scared of you now."
Sophie Sullivan let go of George Stanford. The corners of her mouth curved uncontrollably upward. "Tell me, what kind of surgical plan have you come up with?"
Heaven knows how long she’s been looking forward to the second surgery! Now that she finally sees a glimmer of hope, how can she not be excited.
"My hands have almost recovered, so there’s no need to wait for my body to fully recover before doing the surgery for you. Once my hands are fully healed, we’ll proceed with the second surgery."
Sophie Sullivan was thrilled. "Old Mr. Standford, go for it!"
George Stanford: "..."
He decided to put it aside since she looked so ugly right now. He wouldn’t quibble with her anymore.
The news of the second surgery was wonderful news for Sophie Sullivan.
The gloom instantly disappeared without a trace.
For her, nothing was more important than regaining her appearance.
Thomas Shannon, Minimus Hart, she tossed them all to the back of her mind.
「...」
「Golden Wing Palace, bar.」
"Young Master, it’s getting late. We should go back."
Charlie River looked at the rather intoxicated Thomas Shannon and advised him.
"Shut up, Charlie."
Thomas Shannon held the wine glass and took a small sip. His eyes were dark, staring at a particular spot.
A week had passed. Seven full days.
Sophie Sullivan had brazenly been living in the medical office for seven days. During this time, she hadn’t set foot in the castle. Instead, she spent every day in the medical office with Old Mr. Standford, chatting and taking walks.
If it weren’t for Old Mr. Standford’s age, Thomas Shannon would have really suspected she had some unspeakable feelings for the old man.
He had tried to ease the relationship between them, but each time, Sophie Sullivan had coldly ignored him.
Thomas Shannon’s inherent pride prevented him from swallowing his pride and trying to make up with her again.
It was just a cold war, right? Heh, what did he have to fear!
He wanted to see how long she could hold out.
After drinking, Thomas Shannon returned to the manor and sat down on the sofa in the main hall.
Harry, who was curled up in a ball sleeping on the sofa, was lifted up in his sleep.
Thomas Shannon held him in the air. Harry meowed innocently. "You disappointing thing," Thomas Shannon muttered.
If Harry were more capable, he would have coaxed Sophie Sullivan back by now. But unfortunately, he wasn’t.
Harry looked confused, completely unaware that he had become worthless in his master’s mind.
"Go find her." Thomas Shannon flicked his hand, tossing Harry out.
Harry had long ago honed his skills. He spun 360 degrees in mid-air, landing steadily on all fours.
