Chapter 729: Chapter 732: Lucifer, Wake Up

"Is there something else you need? If not, we’ll be leaving first."

As soon as he finished speaking, William Guillen gave an indifferent nod and left with his female companion.

Jim Jones turned around, watching William Guillen and his female companion leave together. His brow furrowed tightly. Could it be... he had misunderstood him?

After waiting for Fluffy Zane for a long time without her appearing, Jim Jones decided to continue towards the restroom to look for her.

From a distance, he saw her leaning against the wall, her face filled with a sorrowful, restrained expression. Her eyes were rimmed red, and tears welled within them.

She was biting her lower lip so hard that it had turned pale.

Jim Jones froze, standing rooted to the spot, suddenly hesitant to approach.

She was heartbroken... Was she heartbroken because of William Guillen?

Eight years... Thinking about her feelings for William Guillen, which had lasted for eight years, how could she possibly let them go overnight?

Regarding William Guillen’s reputation, Jim Jones didn’t need to investigate to hear countless pieces of gossip. What he saw was merely the surface. He couldn’t imagine the turmoil she must have endured over these eight years, every time she came across scandalous news about William Guillen.

Withdrawing his gaze, Jim Jones turned and left.

Fluffy Zane didn’t know how long she had been standing there, dazed. It wasn’t until her mobile phone rang that she hastily composed herself, adjusted her breathing, and answered the call.

"Fluffy, I’m waiting for you in the car."

"Okay, I’ll be ready soon." Fluffy Zane hung up the phone. Dragging her still-healing leg, she made her way into the restroom step by step.

She washed her face and looked at her reflection in the mirror. After ensuring there was nothing amiss, she left.

Seeing her struggling to walk towards him from a distance, Jim Jones immediately got out of the car and hurried forward to support her. "Are you okay?"

"I’m fine. It’s just that my leg is inconvenient and slowed me down a bit. Sorry to have kept you waiting."

Jim Jones raised his hand and gently tapped her head. "Fluffy, saying things like that makes us seem distant. You’re not treating me as a friend, are you?"

Fluffy Zane curved her lips into a smile. "Nonsense, I’ve considered you a friend for a long time."

Jim Jones kept smiling, but a pang of disappointment touched his heart...

「Country F.」

Sophie Sullivan woke naturally from a good night’s sleep.

She sat up and pressed the button for the curtain.

The heavy curtains immediately parted to both sides, leaving only a layer of thin white gauze curtain.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, the sunshine was bright and unbridled.

The spacious bedroom gradually brightened.

She sat on the bed and stretched lazily. Gaby, who was on the sofa, heard the sound and immediately jumped down, padding towards her.

Sophie Sullivan jumped out of bed and knelt on the carpet, hugging Gaby.

"Good morning, Gaby!"

Gaby rubbed affectionately against her, letting out a soft howl.

After playing with Gaby for a while, Sophie Sullivan went into the restroom. Once she was done washing up, she took Gaby downstairs with her.

Once downstairs, she found that Lucifer hadn’t come down yet.

"Miss Cecilia Branford, Your Highness instructed that if you wake up, you need not wait for him and can start the meal," the butler said, respectfully guiding her towards the Restaurant for breakfast.

Sophie Sullivan waved her hand. "No, it’s boring to eat breakfast alone. I’ll go wake Lucifer."

Sophie Sullivan turned around and headed upstairs, Gaby following behind her. The human and the tiger—an oddly harmonious pair.

Lucifer was still asleep. Sophie Sullivan knocked on the door. When there was no response from inside, she pushed it open and entered the bedroom.

She pulled back the curtains and looked at Lucifer on the bed. His sleeping face was as serene as an angel’s. She leaned over the bedside and called softly, "Lucifer, it’s time to wake up."

Gaby jumped up onto the other side of the bed and let out a low howl.

The man, deep in sleep, had profound and well-defined features. His brows were picturesque, and his thick eyelashes exuded an air of romance and endless tenderness.
