Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Do You Know Who I Am?

In the fountain pool, Sophie Sullivan began to repeatedly ram her head into the hard statue. Bloodstains were washed away by the water droplets, spreading throughout the pool.

"Maniac, stop it!"

A few maidservants jumped into the water and grabbed Sophie Sullivan, halting her self-harming actions.

Sophie Sullivan turned her head. Her eyes were blank, her pupils unfocused. She raised both hands and began to choke the maidservant in front of her.

A strange curve crept up the corner of her mouth as she said ominously, "I will kill you!"

"Maniac, let go! Let me go!"

Several other maidservants immediately stepped forward and tried to pry Sophie Sullivan’s hands apart.

Logically, Sophie Sullivan’s strength alone should have been no match for them, but somehow, her body erupted with tremendous power, and she shook off the servants.

She released one hand and grabbed the neck of another maidservant. "I will kill you! Die!"

The ruthlessness in her eyes made the maidservants’ faces change instantly. She had gone mad!

From afar, Thomas Shannon saw the chaotic scene in the fountain pool. The maniac was fighting one against five and was choking a maidservant so fiercely that the maidservant was beginning to sway unsteadily, showing signs of suffocation.

"Maniac, stop!"

A cold, sharp command made Sophie Sullivan freeze in the fountain pool.

She stared dazedly at Thomas Shannon for a few seconds, then let go of the maidservant and rushed towards him.

"Young Master, be careful!" Charlie River stepped in front of Thomas Shannon and ordered the men in black, "Quick, restrain her!"

The well-trained men in black, quick-eyed, swiftly dragged Sophie Sullivan down as she tried to climb out of the swimming pool, pinning her to the ground.

Sophie Sullivan’s cheek was pressed tightly against the ground. She was gasping for breath and struggling violently. "Let me go!"

Her hoarse voice was filled with furious rage.

"Get out of the way." Thomas Shannon’s face was grim as he pushed Charlie River aside.

He came to stand before the maniac, looking down at her as she lay on the ground. Sophie Sullivan raised her head; her eyes were bloodshot, and she was laughing maliciously.

Her laughter was eerie and sinister.

It was as if her entire being was enveloped in a heavy, dark gloom, emanating an unapproachable, oppressive malice.

"What happened?" Thomas Shannon’s expression was grave as he looked at the maidservants emerging from the fountain pool.

The maidservants, soaking wet, stood with their heads bowed respectfully. "The maniac suddenly went berserk—not only did she jump into the fountain, but she also started ramming her head into the statue. We were worried she’d hurt herself, so we all went in to stop her. We didn’t expect her to go completely mad and not recognize anyone. She just grabbed people and started choking them, shouting that she wanted to kill us..."

Mad?

Ever since she was brought back from the asylum, she had been behaving normally, without any unusual actions.

At that time, her physical examination had revealed some damage to her body from long-term sedative use, as well as scars on her face and burns in her throat, but no other issues.

For her to suddenly go mad like this, without any warning, was truly baffling.

"Call the doctor. Have him give her a sedative."

If she was allowed to continue in this state of madness, someone would get killed sooner or later.

Thomas Shannon squatted down, one hand pinching Sophie Sullivan’s chin, lifting her head. "Do you know who I am?"

Sophie Sullivan let out an eerie, spine-chilling laugh.

"Speak!" Thomas Shannon’s voice was icy. His fingers tightened, and Sophie Sullivan’s cheeks immediately grew sore and numb from the pressure.

She frowned and mumbled indistinctly, "I want to kill you!"

"Kill me? Do you even recognize who I am?!"

The maniac’s eyes, blazing with cruelty, stared fearlessly and unblinkingly back at him.
