PAMPERED BY MY THREE BROTHERS: THE RETURN OF THE NEGLECTED HEIRESS-Chapter 1796: Hitting the road once more
Chapter 1796: Hitting the road once more
Minutes earlier, the men (in the truck filled with Nathalie’s people) were only talking about their dismay over the other guy’s interruption. If it were them, they would have killed Mint without a second hesitation. Their dismay slowly turned into hate for the Shadow Order.
They didn’t like the idea of the Shadow Order.
Nathalie already had them, and their organization had grown significantly over the years. They were feared. However, Nathalie still wanted the Shadow Order’s power. Why bother when they already took control of the island and could have ended the Order at first?
Considering how easily they dealt with the Order, it only showed Nathalie no longer needed it.
"I’ll kill them all if I get the chance," one of the men hissed. "Just one word, and I’ll gut them all."
"I’d rather burn them alive, so they can watch each other burn."
"Haha. It’ll be funny to see who screams best," another mused, laughing with each other as if they weren’t talking about taking a life in a gruesome manner.
"Or if anything, just toss them in the lake and feed them to the piranhas."
The men added more suggestions on how to torment the members of the Shadow Order if they were given the order. Nathalie only needed to say a word.
"If you guys have time to do that, why not just show the boss that we don’t need this Order shit?" another one shrugged indifferently. "Once she realizes she doesn’t need these arrogant motherfuckers anymore, she’ll surely give the word."
But just as that was uttered, one man among them raised a hand.
"Got a word from HQ," he said, holding a beeper before lifting his eyes to them.
Everyone raised their brows in intrigue. The man who had received the order leaned forward, speaking quietly.
"I only need two trucks back here. Take down the third one."
The moment they all heard that, deep lines appeared between their brows. They were just talking about ending the other group if Nathalie said the word, and she just did.
After a second, one man in the group scoffed as he quietly laughed. "That’s what I’m talking about."
"Finally," another man cocked his rifle while the guy next to him pulled the strap across from him.
"And the girl?" one of the men (the one they’d been blaming for not shooting Mint right away) asked.
Everyone turned to him until the person who received the order uttered, "She’ll die with them."
"Let’s not kill her yet," someone suggested playfully. "How about... having a taste of her?"
"Haha. Want to see how many dicks she can take before she breaks?"
"What a disgusting piece of shit."
Yet, the response he got was a laugh, only for another man to agree with the perverted suggestion. Killing her was easy, especially now that she was tranquilized. But wasn’t it "better" to ruin her before killing her?
The man who had tranquilized Mint just looked at everyone before their acting leader leaned forward to discuss the plan. Everyone listened, and the man just glanced at the other truck.
"We’ll slow down," said the acting leader. "And then, we just let them have a shower." — a shower in bullets.
"A surprise attack is much better," he continued. "They won’t be able to plan or fight back if they die quickly. So, don’t make the mistake of keeping any of them alive to torture back in the Mansion. Do not underestimate them even when they’re practically useless."
The men nodded at him in agreement, thinking this was the best option they had. Even if they wanted to torment those folks, they needed to focus.
With that, the acting leader knocked on the truck’s cab to give them a signal. Their vehicle discreetly slowed down, but still managed to keep pace with the other. They took their time so as not to raise suspicion.
As they did, all of them readied their rifles and bodies for a shootout. Their eyes glanced at each other, their breathing slow but stable, waiting for the perfect chance to shoot the other guys.

Meanwhile, in the other truck where the members of the Order were, they looked at each other in silence. After all, they had just administered an antidote to Mint.
Now, all they could hope for was that this drug would be able to wake her up. If not now, then later. But not the next day. After all, once the sun rose, this island’s fate was sealed.
Or to be exact, everyone’s fate in this place tonight would be sealed.
As they quietly sat in silence, one of the men arched a brow. "Is it just me? Or are they slowing down? Or are we going faster?"
"Huh?" Some of them furrowed their brows, glancing at the trucks they were traveling with.
Earlier, these three vehicles were riding at the same speed, occupying three lanes. But now, their truck was slightly ahead of them. Silence fell on their shoulders as they studied the other vehicles, making sure of the answer.
After a few seconds, the guy who had administered the drug to Mint spoke.
"They’re planning to kill us." His face darkened, preparing his gun. "It seems Nathalie Zorken doesn’t need us anymore, after all."
Their expressions hardened as their eyes glinted. They all intuitively held onto their rifles, nodding at each other. After a breath, a few of them were about to stand and start shooting when they all heard loud engines from somewhere.

Everyone in the three trucks paused from their plans as they intuitively looked back. The moment they did, all they saw were a few other trucks—used by the Shadow Order, but now operating under Nathalie’s command—come out from the side of the road.
The cars drifted, tires screeching, smoke behind them thickening.
Just as everyone was wondering if Nathalie had sent more people, loud gunfire was heard. A spark ignited on the side of the first truck that had just hit the road. After a second, another gunshot was heard, this time, coming from the first truck.
The second shot hit the other car behind it, making the latter screech and lose control, subsequently throwing it off the road.
This quickly told everyone what was happening. Whoever was in those trucks was currently in a chase, trying to kill each other.
The man in the truck (the same one who had tranquilized Mint) looked at the chase behind them. He then glanced at the people in the same truck as his. After a breath, he raised his pistol and shot the man across from him.
BANG!
