Paragon of Death-Chapter 274 - : A God only for a day
274 Chapter 273: A God only for a day
I need to leave this place or I will really die!
Damon’s mind was in turmoil as he retreated and gathered spatial energy attempting to break a hole in space but with the Beyond and the cosmic spirit host of space casting a spatial deal, Damon had no means of escaping!
Xiu!
Xiu!
Xiu!
Damon teleportation rapidly in an attempt to get closer to God’s vein but he couldn’t no matter how much he tried. It seemed like he wasn’t even moving.
Hissss!
Damon let out a venomous his as he looked towards the gods closing in on him. His heart was beating madly as he felt the hands of death looming over him.
No! Death cannot take him!
.....
He is death itself!
He has worked this hard to get this far so how can he not even be allowed to enjoy living as a god for a single day?
“Never!” Damon refused to concede defeat.
A battle is first lost in the mind….
Is this the first time he has gone against impossible odds?
Who can claim to have been able to reach the God realm in a few decades of his life?
A worthless mortal who struggled to reach the peak!
How can he fall so fast?
Never!
“Come,” Damon said in a cold and aloof voice with his hands placed behind him as his robes fluttered madly.
His sudden change in temperament shivers down the Beyond’s spine talk less of the other gods present!
“Go! Kill him now!” The Beyond ordered and the deities jumped into action!
Swoosh!
Countless attacks filled the sky, covering the heavens and reaching the peak of this world. Damon frowned as he felt like the entire space was crumbling on him and this was just a combined attack from the cosmic spirits.
Hmph!
Damon snorted disdainfully as his body darted backward while releasing dazzling lights, shining brightly.
Swoosh!
Damon’s body became transparent, revealing countless stars and solar systems as he combined the power of the cosmic beings he has consumed!
Swoosh!
With a wave of his palm, all six cosmic spirits felt their attacks blown away, leaving them stunned!
Swoosh!
Damon appeared in their midst with a calm look on his face.
Swoosh!
His hand shot forward like a dagger aiming at the neck of the cosmic spirit of space but to their greatest surprise, it was blocked.
“Otis…” Damon sneered coldly and Otis snorted disdainfully in response.
He has been following Damon’s movements this time and has played his role pretty well. So far he is the real problem Damon had to deal with.
Void arrow!
Iris cried out as she pulled the void and when she let go, everything in front of her began exploding and this strange force raced toward Damon rapidly.
“Weak!” Damon snorted disdainfully as a golden gate appeared behind him
Boom!
Life magic: heaven’s gate!
With the golden gate illuminating his figure, Damon stood alone with a calm look on his face while his foes slowly surrounded him. His eyes flashed with cruelty as he performed a few seals and a fierce sandstorm exploded from his body surging madly in space.
Ancestral dragon of earth, Sid!
Damon stood at the center of the sandstorm in a cross-legged position with extremely calm eyes. The sandstorm kept expanding pushing the cosmic beings and old gods back but then something came from above!
Shit!
Bang!
It looked like the universe descended on the world of sand sending ripples that reached the ends of the universe.
Blegh!
Damon spat out a mouthful of blood and his vision blurred. His eyes seemed like they were about to close but for some reason, they couldn’t close. The expectations and hopes of everyone below were something he couldn’t afford to lose.
Hmph!
Damon raised his hand but before he could even muster his power he saw the hourglass figure levitating towards him within his sandstorm.
“With the power of space on my side, your death is assured, yet you still struggle…. Slowly your power is fading, yet you still fight… only a stubborn man can get this far and for that I deeply respect you” Beyond said in a calm tone.
Hearing this Damon just sneered at her and clasped his hands together closing his eyes in meditation.
“I’m not struggling… I’m fighting and I will not lose…” Damon finally responded as he slowly opened his eyes.
Crack!
The center of his chest cracked open as immense rainbow light surged madly.
Seeing this, the Beyond paled and tried to flee but it was too late!
Pa!
Damon flashed and appeared right in front of her, grasping her by the throat.
Buzzz!
A suction force exploded from his body, surging madly pulling everything in. Damon remained calm as his power kept swelling and rising with time.
Seeing this even the Beyond paled and struggled as she never expected Damon would be decisive in taking such drastic actions.
Did he become a god just to die on the same day?
Why would he even consider taking his life just to kill them all?
“You!” The Beyond bellowed but Damon remained calm with indifference in his eyes.
He looked ahead and saw the other cosmic beings and old gods struggling against the suction force erupting from his body madly. His eyes kept pouring out fierce rainbow-colored light and the crack had spread all over his body.
“I apologize, I wasn’t able to keep part of my promise. I won’t be able to bring you all back but then again I was able to protect the God’s vein” Damon said with a bitter smile as he watched the Beyond struggle.
By burning the Life force of countless souls he had consumed he temporarily boosted his power. Instead of wasting it all in a long and pointless battle. He decided to bet it all in one single and effective attack that will end everyone.
Boooooooooooom!
........ Mortal realm, central continent......
Boom!
The world trembled as if it was going to shatter at any moment as a bright light shone into the skies and just at the same time, the false hosts began to fall one after the other, losing all for in them as if they were some sort of machine.
A powerful storm erupted amongst the heavens sending shockwaves across the world.
While the world jubilated only a few remained rooted to their spots with their eyes pinned in the heavens. As subordinates of the death mage who had his power lingering in them, they felt his presence vanish. As if it never existed.
Gin, Cyrus, Elsa, and Gerald arrived at the battlefield only to see Blink looking at the sky with tears running down his eyes.
Armanthos looked confused as he too didn’t understand what was going on.
Only Elsa was the first to understand and her face turned pale while her eyes reddened.
“My master is dead…”
Those four words shook the world….
