278 Chapter 277: The man hidden within his mind

My woman?

Elka’s face turned bright red as she looked at Cecile and felt like she was looking at an entirely different person. Meanwhile, everyone around was stunned, they can expect this from anyone but Cecile. While he was smart and outspoken he was also weak and fragile.

It came as a shock he would dare pick a fight with one of the world’s blessed!

“The world lacks mana now? I believe I protected everyone” Cecile said with a cruel face which has never been seen before.

You!

Bang!

Adras jumped on his feet and quickly launched a kick at Cecile at an astonishing speed. But strangely Cecile casually raised his hand to block! f𝗿𝙚e𝙬𝗲𝑏𝒏𝑜ѵ𝑒𝗹. 𝒄𝑜𝘮

Bang!

Shiiiiiiii!

.....

Everyone drew a cold breath as Cecile skidded to the side with his hand still raised but wrist dangling crazily.

“No mana and a weak body?” Cecile said with a cold look on his face before looking up to Adras and the other students that were gazing at his dislocated wrist with paled faces.

Even now Adras knew he may have crossed the line. Even as a member of the Garrett family which is in charge of this province, there was something he couldn’t get away with. His family will definitely punish him for this.

What terrified them more was the fact that Cecile stood even with the injury and acted as if nothing was happening.

“Weak!” Cecile commented with a disdainful snort while pushing back his dislocated wrist into position

Crack!

The faces of everyone twisted in fear as Cecile casually walked towards Adras while stretching.

“My turn,” Cecile said with the eyes of a killer responsible for over a thousand victims.

For a moment, Adras felt like he was all alone in the world with his Cecile but his shadow was much larger than usual. It was like that of a mighty robe figure with six wings and a death scythe behind him.

Aaaaaaah!

Adras peed himself as he retreated and screamed in fear. While retreating so fast he was bound to make mistakes and tripped, falling to the ground comically, causing a lot of people to laugh.

“Weak…” Cecile said again but this time he was already standing over Adras with a clenched fist.

“Hey, What’s going on here?”

An elderly voice came like the wind, blowing away whatever had taken over Cecile, leaving him stunned by the scene before him.

Andras on the ground and he was standing over him?

Is this a dream?

Countless students began to clap, leaving him even more confused but just then all the memories hit back at him, leaving him shocked. All they could remember was as soon as his head was smashed into the ground he blacked out and only now did he regain consciousness.

Wow!

“Did I do that?” Cecile asked Elka who nodded with a stunned look on her face as well.

Immediately Cecile saw her face, he remembered what he said and his face flushed red with shame.

.........…..

The issues were quickly resolved since they dropped it the moment they realized Adras was at fault and forced Cecile to apologize for standing up to the bully and threatening him.

Meanwhile, Cecile’s fame had blown to the next level as the matter quickly spread. They said he took a hit from Adras, dislocated his wrist, pushed it back in position, and finally called Adras weak!

Adras, weak?

Everyone was going crazy including Cecile who was trying to figure out what just happened and how he fell into this situation. He failed to understand everything that happened and how he ended up fighting Adras. His mind ran to the book in his back concerning the God of death.

But he didn’t pray, neither did he carve the sign!

“You yearned for what was far beyond your power and that was your error” a cold voice rang in his mind and Cecile blacked out. He was at the infirmary getting his wrist bandaged but suddenly he lost consciousness and collapsed on the bed he lay on, passing out and everyone was alarmed and shocked.

Meanwhile, Cecile was pulled into a dark world but he could see clearly.

At the center rod, the darkness was a being seated in a cross-legged position. He was dressed in a black robe with crazily long black hair fluttering madly.

His darkish green eyes were like that of a reptile and the stench of death oozed from him.

Even though he was seated and Cecile was standing, he felt inferior to this man who had perfect facial features. He looked like a being carved by the heavens.

“For so long I have been dead. Who would have thought it would take someone expressing greed over what is mine for me to resurrect…. Why am I even complaining, I shouldn’t even be alive in the first place” Damon said with a cold look before their eyes shifted to the kid ahead.

This kid lacked every qualification to even be his host. He was only a consciousness now that lacked a soul. He lacked power and he could always take the kid’s soul for himself but Damon didn’t, not because he felt any form of pity towards the kid but because he was not familiar with the world out there.

At this point, even a former god who has been reduced to this level would need a guide.

“Where am I? What are you?” Cecile demanded with a terrified look on his face but Damon snorted disdainfully at this and his eyes surged with anger.

Do a mere mortal dares question him?

Is it because of his current condition?

But since he was only a consciousness he couldn’t harm this kid. His powers now were greatly limited and even though he still had some of his godly traits, that was all. He was almost powerless and weaker than a human realm cultivator.

The cold and otherworldly voice sent shivers down Cecile’s spine, instantly silencing him.

Damon slowly rose to his feet and wanted to move but he felt bound by invisible chains created by Cecile’s mind. He was too weak now.
