Sebastian’s body began to subconsciously revolve the sun energy refining technique, so as to start controlling the fire spiritual energy that was currently revolving around the main energy core.

Right as the sun energy refining technique began revolving, the main energy core could be seen to start to begin spinning, just as the yang core previously did when it was refining the fire spiritual energy that it had absorbed into itself.

As the main energy core began spinning, it didn’t take too long for the main energy core to accumulate speed and began revolving at a relatively fast speed.

And as the main energy core arrived at the highest revolving speed it could revolve at, the sun energy refining technique enveloped onto the refined fire spiritual energy and began carrying the refined fire spiritual energy along with it as it revolved a few cycles around Sebastian’s meridians and spiritual root.

Every time, when the fire spiritual energy that was being controlled by the sun energy refining technique flowed through Sebastian’s meridians and spiritual root, a very tiny fraction of the fire spiritual energy was absorbed into the meridians and spiritual root, so as to help strengthen the meridians and spiritual root and get the meridians and spiritual root accustomed to the fire spiritual energy that was flowing through them.

Strengthening the meridians and spiritual root was something that every cultivation technique was able to do and was also something that every cultivation technique was required to be able to do in order to be considered as a proper cultivation technique.

After all, the meridians and spiritual root were in actuality rather fragile parts of a human body, and if a cultivator didn’t had a way to strengthen their meridians and spiritual root while they were cultivating their cultivation technique, it would be only a matter of time until their meridians and spiritual root ended up becoming damaged, or worst, becoming crippled due to the constant spiritual energy that was flowing through their meridians and spiritual root when they were revolving their cultivation technique.

Naturally, as for how much a cultivator’s spiritual root and meridians would be strengthened by their cultivation technique, it depended on the type of cultivation technique that they were cultivating.

Within the Cultivation World, cultivation techniques were mainly classified into two types, whereby the first type would be the body tempering type cultivation technique, and the second type would be the mind tempering type cultivation technique.

Judging from the names of the two types of cultivation techniques, it didn’t take too much for one to come to the conclusion that the body tempering type cultivation technique would be able to strengthen a cultivator’s spiritual root and meridians even more than a mind tempering type cultivation technique would be able to do so.

And if one were to have had come to that conclusion, they were actually right with their conclusion.

For the body tempering type cultivation techniques...

When a body-tempering cultivator was within the energy refining realm, the direction of a single revolve of their cultivation technique wasn’t simply just flowing throughout their meridians and spiritual root in a cycle, but also their flesh and skin!

Naturally, this meant that most of the spiritual energy that a body-tempering cultivator had absorbed into their body would be first used to refine their flesh and skin, followed by a decent amount of spiritual energy to strengthen their meridians and spiritual root, and at the end, only a small amount of spiritual energy would be absorbed into their energy core.

Only until the body-tempering cultivator was finally done with their cultivation technique’s first stage of body tempering and didn’t need to spend anymore spiritual energy to temper their flesh and skin for the time being, then would they be able to focus on increasing their cultivation level by letting their energy core absorbed all of the spiritual energy that they had absorbed into their body.

This was why most energy refining realm body-tempering cultivators needed to spend much more cultivation resources and time to reach level 10 of energy refining realm than a typical energy refining realm mind-tempering cultivator needed to spend in order to reach level 10 of energy refining realm.

Of course, so long as a body-tempering cultivator was rich and possessed a large amount of cultivation resources to their disposal, the only downside the body-tempering cultivator would have when compared to a typical mind-tempering cultivator would be that the body-tempering cultivator had to spend much more cultivation resources in order to increase their cultivation strength, as the downside of needing to spend much more time in order to increase their cultivation strength was no longer true.

After all, right as an energy refining realm body-tempering cultivator was done with their cultivation technique’s first stage of body tempering, it usually meant that their body was now able to refine and absorb stronger cultivation pills and treasures that a typical energy refining realm cultivator wouldn’t be able to do so but was now able to do so thanks to their tempered flesh and skin, and much stronger meridians and spiritual root.

Imagine, a body-tempering energy refining realm cultivator who was able to refine and absorb cultivation pills and treasures that could usually only be refined and absorbed by a cultivator who was at the foundation establishment realm or higher...

How would a typical mind-tempering energy refining realm cultivator be able to compete with that body-tempering energy refining realm in the area of leveling up?

When a mind-tempering cultivator was within the energy refining realm, it was pretty straight forward.

The higher the mind-tempering cultivator’s comprehension toward their cultivation technique was, the more spiritual energy the mind-tempering cultivator would be able to absorb into from their surroundings whenever they revolved their cultivation technique.
