Pirate Kingship-Chapter 790 - 496: Noah’s Ark, Fated Disaster Star!
East Coast and the power center of the Church, City of Seven Hills, Holy See of the Saint Peter Cathedral.
If someone opens their Spirit Vision here, they'd discover that not only is this the most important cathedral of the Creator's Church, the entire City of Seven Hills is enveloped in intense holy light.
Within the depths of this holy light are seven layers of a colossal Law Network, centered around the [Holy Word Tablets] inscribed with the Ten Commandments of God and Man, spreading throughout the entire Material World.
This is one of the foundations of humanity's orthodox Extraordinary System, the [Ladder of Glory], far from comparable to the castrated version of the "Royal Iron Law" of various countries.
Moreover, while the Silver Law has long merged into the collective subconscious sea of humanity, it does not belong to any one power.
Yet, part of the low-level management authority of the law remains in the hands of the Creator's Church.
This is evident from the strength and numbers of the Transcendents.
Hundreds of religious orders comprise the Creator's Church, with countless churches and monasteries, as well as 98 Cardinal Archbishops in the College of Cardinals, 12 Saints in the Council of the Divine Presence, and the Pope—an assembly of high-sequence extraordinary entities.
If such a terrifying combination could unite completely, suppressing the Material World through another Dark Millennium would be no issue at all.
Sadly, due to the Creator's own continuous tendency to splinter and humanity's inherent struggle for power, factions within the Church have become increasingly numerous.
Today, with the artistic renaissance and thought liberation movement sparked by artists from the Order of Sanctity, years of accumulated conflict have erupted, to the point where they can no longer even maintain appearances.
In the deepest part of the Holy See complex, within a church dedicated solely to the traditional faction's Saint John, many Clergy of the Holy Infant Society (Chapter 315) come and go in haste.
Each person wears a tense expression, intensifying the oppressive atmosphere.
Under a massive Silver Cross in the main hall, a man in a White Robe, about fifty years old, appears to be silently praying with piety.
The bright halo above his head, resonating constantly with both the entire church and the [Silver Law], reveals his identity—Saint John, one of the twelve Saints of the Council of the Divine Presence.
Though he appears to be in prayer, he is, in fact, coordinating churches and monasteries across various regions through the projection of the law, preparing to launch a new wave of assaults on the Protestants.
"Casualties are just an excuse!
I don't care what methods you use, within a week there must be enough 'Gospel of Heaven' distributed across Protestant districts.
At such a critical time, anyone who can't withstand the pressure is not a devoted believer of the [Creator]."
"Contact the traditionalist states within The Holy Silver Empire in advance, and if anyone dares to support the Protestants at this time, don't blame us for putting away the Cross and bringing out the guns."
"Where are the personnel negotiating the ceasefire between the two Queens of Castilia? Why hasn't a ceasefire agreement been reached? 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
What's more important, the throne or God's mission?"
Holding the low-level authority of the [Silver Law], every word he says triggers waves across extensive church regions.
Within the collective system, this power transcending national boundaries makes the royal authority of various countries appear particularly insignificant.
The twelve Saints, though not Kings, originate from the initial twelve disciples of the [Holy Son].
The "Gospel of Creation" states: "Only our Lord called the twelve disciples, granting them the authority to cast out forbidding spirits and heal various diseases."
The sequence of the [Ladder of Glory] are mere mortals, lacking the ability for eternal life, yet the identity of the "Twelve Disciples" personally blessed by the [Creator] has been passed down through time.
Each Saint possesses a [Ring of Saintly Authority] that they can hold for life, signifying their identity as contemporary disciples.
The [Bishop's Authority Ring] of an average Cardinal Bishop equates to a Fifth Order Legend.
And Saints, already Legendary Clergy themselves, upon donning the [Ring of Saintly Authority], immediately stand on par with the pinnacle [King's Title].
At critical moments, they can even summon Heroic Spirits of the church, who perished for the Creator, to aid in battle.
It's said that in the Dark Millennium Era, secular royal authority once challenged the Church, only to be crushed by a Saint wielding authority transcending any single country, delivering an overwhelming and horrifying victory.
Since then, the crowning of Kings, even Emperors, required recognition from the Church to gain widespread acknowledgement, with spiritual authority completely overshadowing royal authority.
However, while the name "Saint" sounds grandiose, it has little to do with a person's moral nature, be it good or bad.
The sole measure is how much more devout believers they can bring to the Church.
As long as a Legendary Clergy from the Order of Sanctity, regardless of doing good or evil, meets the set standard of Mind Wish Power, substantially enhancing the power of the [Silver Law], they qualify to inherit the authority of a Saint.
Saints who climbed the ranks in such environments evidently aren't often virtuous, sacrificing devout lower-level clergy without blinking an eye.
Saint John, having assigned all tasks, wearily reclined on his chair, rubbing his temples.
Perhaps his spirituality is immensely strong, but his body is no longer young.
The long-anticipated [Panacea] has shown no progress, and the recent series of unexpected occurrences has left him somewhat exhausted in spirit.
"It's not just the throne wars of Hightins and Castilia; the Protestant upheaval; but also, more crucially, the Spiral Annals and the Great Flood.
