Chapter 60: Chapter 60 Teach me, how can I make him fall in love with me?
Chapter 60 -60 Teach me, how can I make him fall in love with me?
Qiao En shuddered with fright, instinctively trying to dodge, but the person directly hugged her legs.
“How come you only just got back?”
A muffled female voice murmured.
Qiao En couldn’t hear clearly; she turned on the flashlight on her phone and shone it on the person’s face.
Surprisingly, it was An Kexin, completely drunk, waiting at her door.
She didn’t know how much she had drunk; her face was red as a monkey’s butt.
She was clinging to Qiao En’s trouser leg, her head leaning against Qiao En.
“Miss An, what are you doing here?”
Qiao En was full of suspicion.
“Waiting for you.”
An Kexin murmured again.
She was like a sloth, her slender arms encircling Qiao En’s thighs, clinging tightly to her.
“I feel so sick.”
An Kexin said, about to vomit.
Qiao En quickly supported her, “Miss An, just hold on.”
She hurriedly opened the door.
An Kexin, covering her mouth, scrambled inside.
Qiao En supported her to the bathroom, where she clung to the toilet, continuously vomiting.
After a good while, she finally eased up, looking generally weak.
“Secretary Qiao, I want some water.”
Qiao En turned around to get her some water, while An Kexin, shaking, got up and threw herself on the sofa in the living room.
Qiao En felt that An Kexin might not be as drunk as she seemed, suspecting some pretense.
An Kexin was a ruthless person, who could be harsh to others and to herself to achieve her despicable goals.
Qiao En didn’t expose her.
An Kexin coming to her house drunk and causing a scene wasn’t just a simple act of drunken madness.
Qiao En handed her the warm water, which she took a few sips of before handing back to Qiao En.
“Secretary Qiao, thank you.”
An Kexin looked at Qiao En with tearful, blurry eyes.
Then, tears started rolling down from her eyes like pearls off a broken string.
“Miss An, would you like me to contact your family?”
Qiao En asked.
She didn’t intend to comfort her; she just wanted to send An Kexin away as soon as possible.
An Kexin shook her head, “Secretary Qiao, it hurts here.”
She pointed at her chest.
“Then I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Qiao En stood up to dial 120, but An Kexin grabbed her again.
“I’m not sick, I just feel terrible inside. Secretary Qiao, teach me, how can I make Director Zhou fall in love with me?”
Qiao En’s spine chilled; An Kexin was setting traps for her again.
Teach her?
What right did she have?
This was a trap Qiao En wouldn’t fall into.
She showed difficulty on her face, grimacing as she said, “Miss An, Director Zhou is your fiancé, you should be asking him these questions.”
An Kexin chuckled lightly, her tears rolling down her cheeks again.
“But he doesn’t want to marry me, Secretary Qiao, do you know how much I love him? Do you know how much I’ve sacrificed to marry him? Secretary Qiao, tell me, is it you that he wants to marry?”
Another lethal question.
Qiao En’s back broke out in a cold sweat.
“Miss An, you’ve drank too much. How about I contact Director Zhou to come pick you up?”
“Okay.”
An Kexin responded.
She answered too readily, making Qiao En suspicious of An Kexin’s ultimate purpose for the night.
“Director Zhou, Miss An is drunk at my place; could you come pick her up? I’ll send you the address. Don’t worry, Miss An is alright for now, I’ll take good care of her.”
This call, Qiao En made it in front of An Kexin.
She put it on speaker, and originally expected Zhou Jin’an to ask a few questions.
But he did not.
“Understood.”

Zhou Jin’an responded.
Qiao En hung up the phone, and An Kexin was visibly very excited.
“Is Jin’an coming to pick me up?”
Qiao En smiled and nodded, “Yes, Director Zhou will be here soon, Miss An, Director Zhou actually cares about you quite a bit.”
An Kexin was both crying and laughing, covering her mouth as tears streamed down her face.
Her acting would make an Oscar-winning actress feel inferior in front of her.
“Miss An, please don’t cry anymore, your eyes are swollen. When Director Zhou sees you like this, he will definitely feel heartache.”
Qiao En picked comforting words to say.
An Kexin nodded heavily, “Do you have a mirror?”
Before Qiao En could answer, An Kexin staggered to her feet, wobbled to the restroom, and examined herself in the mirror over the sink.
Her eyes were swollen from crying, but there was a sparkle in them.
“Secretary Qiao, do I look ugly like this? Will Jin’an dislike it?”
“Not at all, Miss An, you are naturally beautiful, now pitifully beautiful. Director Zhou will be too heartbroken to dislike you.”
To get rid of this ‘big Buddha’, Qiao En showered An Kexin with over-the-top flattery.
Of course, she was skilled at it, too.
When she was a secretary, she often accompanied Zhou Jin’an to social events where, on special occasions, a few flatteries were necessary.
Zhou Jin’an was reserved and disdainful of such behavior. Qiao En, however, got the hang of it quickly and mastered the art of flattery.
Her complimens were natural and understated.
It hit the right spot.
For that, people often complimented her, saying she was eloquent.
Of course, she also secured many victories for Zhou Jin’an with that eloquent tongue of hers.
Now, Qiao En was employing this tactic on An Kexin.
She appreciated it a lot.
“I don’t want him to feel heartache, but if he does, I’ll feel it too. I want to make him happy, Secretary Qiao, do you understand this feeling?”
Qiao En nodded deeply in agreement.
Less than twenty minutes later, a knock on the door sounded.
An Kexin hurriedly ran to the living room and collapsed into the sofa, limp as mud.
Qiao En went to open the door.
Zhou Jin’an appeared at the door with a dark expression, his eyes emitting a cold chill.
He was about to speak when Qiao En turned and walked toward An Kexin.
“Miss An, Director Zhou is here.”
An Kexin looked towards the door with bleary, tearful eyes, “Jin’an, I feel so terrible.”
Zhou Jin’an stood at the entrance, his demeanor icy.
Qiao En knew Zhou Jin’an was angry.
She had used him to extricate herself and played him for a fool.
She had touched his sore spot.
But he had come, and that was the main point.
Qiao En didn’t pay attention to Zhou Jin’an’s mood, and helped An Kexin to get up from the sofa.
“Miss An drank a lot and almost threw up bile. She kept complaining about stomach pain. We don’t have any medicine at home. Could you please take Miss An to the hospital?”
Before she finished speaking, An Kexin’s acting kicked in instantly.
“Jin’an, it hurts so much!”
She pressed one hand to her chest and reached out to Zhou Jin’an with the other.
He did not refuse, but he also did not take the initiative. He stood there unmoved, letting An Kexin wind around him like a vine.
Qiao En took a step back, distancing herself from the two of them.
She watched as another woman embraced Zhou Jin’an in her own house.
Yet there was no sadness on her face, no anger, not even a trace of loss.
Instead, she revealed a smile, one that showed indifference.
“Director Zhou, I won’t see you out, please take good care of Miss An.”
Zhou Jin’an’s dark eyes deeply gazed at Qiao En for a moment.
He didn’t speak, but left with An Kexin in tow.
Qiao En saw them to the door and watched them enter the elevator.
The man was like a tree, tall and strong; the woman was like a vine, delicate and clinging.
From the back, they looked well-matched.
The elevator doors opened, and Zhou Jin’an stepped in forcefully, An Kexin clinging to his shoulder as she followed him inside.
In the moment the elevator doors closed, An Kexin went on tiptoe and suddenly kissed Zhou Jin’an on the lips.
