Pokemon - A real story-Chapter 800: End of the Battle

The force of the impact created an explosion but Shedinja was not the one that got hit. It was actually Nidoking. Since Shedinja was out of options and it didn’t have any substitute, it had to use ’Ally switch’ on Nidoking.

Everything happened so fast that Shedinja could not switch with the substitute of Nidoking but the real Nidoking. It was an electric type attack and Nidoking was immune to it but the physical force of the impact did quite a number on Nidoking.

Nidoking had already taken care of the substitute Snorlax by this point in time. Till now only Blastoise had been unable to battle. They had not lost anyone till now and Snorlax had already used ’Rest’ and ’Stockpile’ one time. Snorlax was also filled with a lot of injuries all over its body.

If Axel acted defensively right now, then Snorlax was sure to win. Even though his Pokemons were in good condition, their stamina was limited. Axel could tell that with respect to stamina, Snorlax would take the cake. It was very bulky and it had a lot of stamina.

So, Axel needed to bring out the big guns.

’Magnus, help me out here for a minute.’, said Axel telepathically, and then he looked at all of them and shouted, "It is time to finish this. Use your pre-domain move."

First was Shedinja.

A black-colored aura appeared everywhere. The power and stats of Shedinja increased rapidly and it directly used the same move that it had used before. Of course, Snorlax was not sitting around. It also used its pre-domain move, ’Berserk mode’.

But the influence of Shedinja’s ’Shadow-darkness domain’ was more powerful than Snorlax’s ’Berserk mode’. A suppression of a domain, even a pre-domain move would harshly affect the opposing party. But that didn’t mean that Snorlax had gotten weaker. On the contrary, its health and stamina recovery had increased by a mile.

But Shedinja was not so worried about it. It finally used a move that it had been saving for quite some time. ’Shadow absorption’. Since it had not used this move for the entirety of the battle, it came as a surprise for Snorlax. Snorlax could feel that it had become a lot weaker for some reason and it knew that Shedinja was responsible for it.

Upgrading a pre-domain move was harder than a normal move. It was only due to Axel’s talent that his Pokemons had a good mastery of the pre-domain move.

Shedinja hit Snorlax with that powerful combination of ’Shadow control’, ’Dark breath’, and ’Shadow ball’. After that, it used multiple ’Shadow balls’ and ’Night slashes’ on Snorlax and then deactivated its pre-domain move.

"Meg, now it is your turn.", shouted Axel.

Even though they had a great mastery of pre-domain moves, if Nidoking and Shedinja were to use their pre-domain move at the same time, it would not combine but clash with one another. So, Axel had no other way than to tell them to use their pre-domain move one after the other.

But it looked like Axel miscalculated the timing of alternating the pre-domain move cause Snorlax came running towards Shedinja and it was ready to use the move ’Fire punch’ on Shedinja. Even though the Pokemon weighed almost a ton, due to the perfect use of ’Body manipulation’, it had increased its speed to an unbelievable level.

But the punch could not reach Shedinja.

Snorlax gave a painful roar as it fell down on the ground. This was due to 2 reasons. First was that Nidoking used ’Toxic spikes’ and Snorlax had stepped on it. It had then activated ’Venom drench’ on an already poisoned Snorlax.

And the second reason was actually due to Shedinja. It had used the move ’Gravity’ on Snorlax. The power of ’Gravity’ would depend on the weight of the Pokemons and since Snorlax weighed almost a ton, it affected Snorlax a lot.

Snorlax knew that it had to take a powerful hit from Nidoking now. So, it directly used the move ’Swallow’ and healed a lot of health. It had already used ’Stockpile’ 2 times now. Its mastery over this move was really high.

Nidoking first used the move ’Poison domain’ and then used the move ’Spinning poison’.

A powerful explosion occurred but it was still not done yet. It used multiple ’Mud bombs’ on Snorlax. This was the upgraded version of ’Mud bomb’ and using it multiple times would not only stick those mud bombs on the target but also make the target heavier.

Shedinja was still using the move ’Gravity’ on it and then Venusaur came and used the move ’Vine whip’ and further trapped it in one place.

Nidoking had already done all the damage that it could do in a short period of time and now it was Alakazam’s turn to do some work.

Till now Alakazam had only done one thing. That was to save its ally during the nick of time. But now it was going offensive.

It used its pre-domain move and then used the same move that it had used against Glalie. This was a new move that it had created itself and after reaching tier 3, it had become extremely powerful.

It was like each of the droplets of rain was exploding on Snorlax. This was the most powerful move of Alakazam. Nidoking also exploded those ’Mud bombs’.

After the explosions were over, everyone could see that Snorlax was in its worst state right now. By taking so many hits, it could not further use its pre-domain move and had to deactivate it.

Its only chance to win this battle was to use ’Rest’ again and that was what it did immediately. But this was the 4th mistake that it had made during this battle.

Its first mistake was not to take care of Venusaur at the start of this battle. Taking care of a healer first was the most basic thing. Its second mistake was to let Alakazam roam free around the battle. Axel could tell that during this time, it could have attacked Alakazam but it had missed this chance. Its 3rd mistake was to become poisoned again. Due to the second stage of ’Poison manipulation’, Nidoking could cause a decrease in healing, higher stamina consumption, and paralysis. Nidoking had not used this function of ’Poison manipulation’ fully till now. It was only using this slowly so that Snorlax would not notice it but now it used this function in full effect.

Finally, its 4th mistake was to use the move ’Rest’ now. This was because Slowemperor had already appeared to use all sorts of illusions on Snorlax and now it had become totally vulnerable.

The only thing to do now was to let Slowemperor use those illusions in full effect while others attack it with full power. It could not use the move ’Mega teleport’ right now cause it was sleeping and facing all those horrific illusions.

This was checkmate for Snorlax.

Axel actually didn’t want to kill this Snorlax. It was a very powerful Pokemon and Axel didn’t want such a talented Pokemon to go to waste. But there was nothing that he could do. Unlike Scyther who was a proud warrior through and through, Snorlax could attack the city when Axel was not here and this would jeopardize the lives of the people living here.

Even if he caught this Pokemon, he knew for sure that he would not be able to tame it. This was the most powerful Pokemon that he had faced till now. A team of 1 tier 2 king-rank Pokemon, 4 tier 3 king-rank Pokemons, and 1 pseudo-champion rank Pokemon was needed to deal with Snorlax and he was sure that none of these Pokemon could deal with this Snorlax in one-to-one battle.

So, he had to kill it. This was the rule of life and he had to do it.

Then something amazing happened. It happened so suddenly that none of them could even react. Cause it happened in a couple of nanoseconds when none of them were ready for it.

Snorlax disappeared. Out of thin air. Like it had never existed.

This alarmed Axel a lot.

"Light..."

"Axel, it used some sort of a teleport move to disappear.", said Alakazam immediately.

"Did anyone save it?"

"No, it used it by itself.", said Alakazam.

"But how is this possible? It was under the illusion. It was right, Magnus?"

"Yes, I am positive that it was under the illusion.", replied Magnus.

Axel could not comprehend what had happened. Since ’Mega teleport’ was the last saving move of Snorlax, Axel had read and re-read its description. So, he was positive that Snorlax could not have used this move in such a condition.

This was a mystery and this was not good.

"Axel, you don’t need to worry about Snorlax. At least not right now.", said Alakazam.

"Huh? But why?"

"First of all, it is greatly injured. A hibernating Pokemon like Snorlax would like to rest for a couple of months before it wakes up at this stage. Secondly, it would while it had used some sort of teleport move, I am sure that this teleport move was some sort of forceful teleport that it had used by itself during the time of need.

It is not a psychic Pokemon and I know that its mastery over psychic type is very weak. If one were to use such a long-distance forceful teleportation where one doesn’t have a good mastery of psychic type, the user would face a huge backlash. So, I am positive that this Snorlax would not cause any trouble for a couple of years."

Alakazam gave a long explanation but Axel got the gist of it. He took a long breath because the tide battle was almost over now.

For the first time today, he looked around to see the state of the battle. All the tier 2 king-rank Pokemons had been dealt and now only some pseudo-king rank and elemental rank Pokemons were left.

Axel told his Pokemons to help with this and after an hour, the battle was over.

"So, how many did we lose today?", asked Axel.

They were now in a meeting and all the commanders including Axel were present in the meeting.

"Sir, we lost 5 people today. All of this happened cause we never expected an attack so early, especially by a powerful Pokemon like Snorlax.", reported Hector.

"Axel knew that none of the dead people were part of the mercenary team, so he felt a bit relieved. But losing 5 people meant that he had lost the bet with the prince. He was so close to getting this impossible win but life was like that.

Axel knew that he could not get all the things that he wanted. He had to compromise sometime."

"It is okay. We did our best and losing only 5 people in a tide battle is already a miracle. I think we have set some sort of a record.", said Axel with a smile.

"Yes sir. I checked and this is actually a record that had not ever happened in the history of this world.", reported Ashmita.

"Good. Even though we dealt with all the king-rank Pokemons, I must stress that the tide battle is yet not over. We might face some pseudo-king rank and elemental rank Pokemons for some more days. I want all of you to be vigilant.

There is still the case of that missing tier 3 king-rank Pokemon which didn’t show in today’s battle. I believe that since the Pokemon is hibernating, it would probably not come out and participate in this battle but we can never be too sure about this."

After talking for some time, the meeting was over and Axel finally went to bed to sleep.
