Chapter 380: The Will of Three Eternals (1)

In the world filled with magic, myths and mysteries, some things are better be left unsaid, some things are better be left unseen.

Because once you see the unseen, your mind cannot forget it. Your memories cannot forget it. Your eyes cannot forget it, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise or bury those images deep inside your thoughts.

And the same was happening currently on the battlefield where everyone was either gravely injured or already dead. Some had lost their eyes while some had lost their other senses, their bodies shaking as they tried to remain conscious under unbearable pressure. The ground beneath them was broken and stained with overflowing lava, and the air itself felt heavy, as if it carried the weight of fear and despair.

Getting trapped between three Eternal Supremes was something no one wanted to experience or even imagine.

But right now, because of the series of events that led to the current situation, three Supremes were confronting each other, and their presence alone was enough to threaten the balance of existence. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

"What are you doing @%^& @#R!!!"

The Heavenly Eternal Supreme roared in anger, his voice filled with furious disbelief as he watched him act against so many weaker beings who had no ability to defend themselves.

The roar spread across layers of space and reality, making the already fragile battlefield tremble violently. But before that angry voice could harm any more people, with a snap of fingers, a barrier formed and separated the Abyssal Gates from everyone else, including the Abyssals themselves.

The voice of the Eternal Supreme was trapped inside, preventing any further damage from spreading outward. The barrier shimmered like a thin veil that held together collapsing reality, containing the destructive presence sealed within it.

But in truth, by forming this barrier and exercising his powers, the Transcendent Eternal Supreme had already caused immense damage to the world, the galaxy, and the universe as a whole. The disturbance created by such power was far beyond what ordinary beings could sense or understand.

Although nothing seemed to be happening for now because the barrier was still holding and all the released power and energy remained trapped inside it, the danger had not disappeared. As soon as the barrier vanished, the destruction would spread across countless lightyears, creating a dead zone where nothing would survive or ever be able to exist again.

It was a relief that every other person present was too terrified to even lift their heads, and unknowingly, that fear saved their lives. Because if they had dared to look up even for a brief moment, whether they were Celestials or Gods, none of them would have survived what they would witness.

Because other than a small tentacle hanging out from the Abyssal Gates, there was also the hand of a man that was slowly retreating back into the depths of space. And there were golden eyes shining from millions of lightyears away, their gaze alone tearing open cracks in space, as if reality itself could not withstand their attention.

"What am I doing, you say? I think it is called: Payback."

The voice of the Abyssal Eternal Supreme sounded as if thousands, if not millions, of beings were speaking at the same time. Their voices overlapped in chaotic whispers and broken echoes, yet together they formed complete and clear meaning within every word spoken, making it impossible for anyone present to misunderstand his intent.

"You call this payback? We didn’t kill any of your people, but because of you many on our side have died," a calm voice replied, carrying a restrained heaviness as if it was deliberately holding back emotions that could easily spiral into something far more destructive.

A distorted laughter echoed from the gates, layered with countless overlapping whispers that twisted and merged into each other before spreading across the battlefield like echoes from a forgotten nightmare.

Then the Abyss voice spoke, its tone filled with a chilling indifference that made it clear that the suffering around him held no value in his eyes.

"I care not for that. Who dies and who does not, it does not matter. Unlike you all, I care not about my karma."

"You never change," a radiant voice spoke, carrying faint exhaustion rather than anger, as if these words had been spoken many times across countless ages.

"You know even we cannot escape from the grasp of karma. We do not act personally because every action we take, no matter how small, can change the lives of everybody in this realm, creating a massive accumulation of karma that even we cannot ignore or erase."

"But you? You simply do not care and meddle with the realm as a whole without any fear of retaliation or consequence, as if the balance of existence means nothing to you."

A brief silence filled the space, yet that silence felt heavier than any clash of power. The already shattered battlefield felt as if it had paused, waiting for the next words to decide whether destruction or restraint would follow.

Even the unstable energy lingering in the air slowed, as if reality itself was listening carefully.

Before a small chuckle layered with countless voices was heard from within the gates, and the atmosphere suddenly changed.

The air grew suffocating as killing intent spread like an invisible storm, pressing down on the sealed surroundings.

"I still have not forgotten the day you both sealed the Abyssal Realm along with me."

The words carried deep resentment, and faint distortions appeared around the Abyssal Gates as if fragments of old memories were trying to manifest through his emotions. The darkness within the gates pulsed slowly, reacting to the suppressed fury hidden behind those words.

Just then, the pressure lessened slightly as a calm voice spoke, steady and composed, yet carrying a weight that reflected ancient authority and responsibility.

"Indeed, the Abyss was sealed because you would not stop creating chaos at every juncture. The negative karma you were accumulating was far beyond what any realm could bear, and there was no other way left except sealing you. And I believe that now, after so much time has passed and you have digested most of that karma and sin, this realm will not create much trouble for us. Do you not agree as well?"

For the first time, the Abyss voice remained silent for a while. The silence stretched long enough to make even the Supremes appear cautious, as if they were waiting for an answer that could decide the fate of countless realms and the fragile stability of existence itself.

"You have not changed a bit #%^&#. You speak as if everything is under your control, but who are you trying to fool? Certainly not me. You both are nothing but cowards."

"Do not spout nonsense in front of me," the radiant voice snorted with a displeased tone, and the surrounding space flickered slightly as his irritation slipped through his otherwise firm control. It was clear that he was growing frustrated with the direction the conversation was taking.

"Nonsense? I am—"

"Alright, stop!!!"

The calm voice spoke slightly louder this time, cutting through the voices of the other two. The echo of his voice spread outward like a stabilizing force, calming the trembling space and preventing the already fragile battlefield from collapsing further.

"Let us not return to that topic. Tell me, now that the seal placed upon the Abyss is slowly losing its effects, what do you intend to do?"

There was a silence. Even the Heavenly Eternal Supreme did not say anything. He simply waited for the Abyssal one to reply, his presence steady but watchful, as if he was measuring every ripple of power coming from the gates. And soon enough, he got his reply.

"What do I want? What I want is simple. It is the same thing that I wanted back then, and it is the same thing that I want now."

Millions of raspy whispers spoke together, forming words that sounded both clear and distorted at the same time, creating an eerie atmosphere that made the space around the gates feel heavier.

Hearing those words, both the other Eternals showed grave expressions, their silence carrying a deeper understanding of where this conversation was heading.

"What I want is to be free. There are restrictions placed upon our whole realm. Who dared to place that? I need all the Runes to leave our Realm? Who decided that? I will be the one to decide. What I want is freedom, and for that even if I have to destroy everything, be it the realm, be it you both, or be it anyone, I will fight them to death."

A heavy silence filled the surroundings, and for a while no one spoke.

The battlefield remained still, the trapped power within the barrier humming faintly as if reacting to the intensity of his declaration.

Each of them was going through countless thoughts. Their silence was not empty, but filled with calculations, memories, and the weight of choices that could reshape existence.

In fact, the goal of all three Eternal Supremes was the same, to venture into the Greater Cosmos, to grow more powerful, and to achieve true immortality. Even as Eternal Supremes, they were not truly immortal, and they understood that there were beings and forces far beyond them.

There were also many other personal goals each of them carried, but for now, they shared one destination.

But while some wanted a peaceful path, others did not care about peace or consequences.

The difference in personality and nature created such a deep divide between the three that they were forced to seal the Abyss in the past to preserve the balance between realms.

A light chuckle suddenly broke the heavy atmosphere and dissolved the tension slightly.

The Heavenly Eternal Supreme laughed lightly, and the only visible part of him, his eyes, shone with a sharper and colder glow, as if old irritation had resurfaced.

"What was the point of even sealing this corrupted thing? I should have just killed him long ago and removed the problem from its very roots."

A raspy chuckle echoed in response, filled with mocking amusement.

"Can you even kill me? Do you truly believe you have the power to do that?"

"Now stop. Do not banter like children."

The Transcendent Eternal Supreme intervened before the exchange escalated further. His voice carried quiet authority, and the surrounding space steadied slightly as if responding to his control.

"I know you both cannot bear each other’s presence, but stay silent for a while."

Then his voice turned colder as he directed his attention toward the Abyssal one, the shift in tone making it clear that he was no longer speaking as a mediator, but as a ruler responsible for maintaining balance.

"Do you really want to fight both of us? Do you truly want to walk down that path knowing what it would lead to?"

The Abyssal one remained silent for a while. The gates pulsed slowly as if reflecting his thoughts, before he finally spoke.

"I do and I don’t."

He gave an ambiguous answer, but before either of the others could question what he meant, he continued, his voice calmer yet layered with quiet confidence.

"During the years I was sealed, I planned many things and thought about many possibilities, and I believe this proposal of mine can work better for all of us. Do you want to hear it?"
