106 [Bonus chapter] One

Since they had come in one car, teacher Lu led them to where the car was parked but just before they could cross, a familiar car parked beside them startling teacher Han.

Yet, Rong Yue soon realized that this was the car that Qin Yichen used anytime he was around.

“Teacher Lu, teacher Han, my uncle is here to pick me so I’ll be going with him,” she told them politely and then waved at Wu Hao.

Even though the three of them were curious as to how Rong Yue had an uncle with such a luxurious car, they didn’t get a chance as the car was heavily tinted. As for the other students watching, they had no idea about Rong Yue’s background. With her appearance, it was easy to believe that she was from a family that was doing exceptionally well.

“I thought you promised to rest all day?” Rong Yue asked him as she sat down beside him.

“I’m just sitting in the car, that’s also part of resting. How was your exam?” Qin Yichen waved her accusations aside and immediately asked how the exam was.

“It was okay, a little easier than I expected,” she confessed. Something like this was something she couldn’t tell other people, after all, she would be worried about sounding arrogant. But for Qin Yichen, she wasn’t worried at all and always felt like she could fully be herself around him.

“The next one is the really hard one as they would be needing just five representatives to go outside the country, three would be for the competition while the other two would be the back up,” he explained.

He also used that opportunity to pull her closer to him which made Lu San who was spying through the rearview mirror to raise the barrier, after all, if he had an accident from seeing his master doting on his woman, he would really be in trouble!

“So you won it?”

“Hmmm, don’t you trust your man?”

Rong Yue had long gotten used to him being shameless and just smiled, the three hours of being in the exam hall was also not easy and since she knew there was still many matters to deal with, she leaned even further into his embrace, hoping to get some sleep.

“I got you some moon cakes, you can eat some of them before you sleep,” Qin Yichen said as he picked up a delicately designed paper bag and handed it to Rong Yue.

Very quickly, Rong Yue bit into one of the small sized cakes and allowed the burst of flavors from each ingredient to burst in her mouth. Before long, her eyes opened wide in delight as she threw the remaining part in her mouth and reached for another one quickly.

Qin Yichen chuckled helplessly as she grabbed the box from her, “slow down, it’s not going anywhere,” he chided softly.

Since he already knew she was a grub, she wasn’t embarrassed and even focused more on snatching the box out of his hand. “Hand it over, it’s already mine since you gave me,”

Qin Yichen smiled helplessly and then patted her head, Rong Yue ate each cake in three bites and eventually had to pause at the fourth one when Qin Yichen forced her to drink the warm milk tea in the flask he had brought along.

It was totally like he was treating her as his daughter with how he thought of her every need.

The cake was a total of ten and Rong Yue finally offered Qin Yichen one when she was on the right one.

“I want only the one you have eaten from,” he said as he pulled her hand towards him and ate the remaining half there. Rong Yue glared at him but she was too tired to do anything more.

After eating her last two cakes, she dozed off on Qin z Yichen. The city they had written the exam was about two hours away from city A by car and so she slept for about half an hour.

Eventually, they got back to city A, but seeing as she was still asleep, Qin Yichen felt all other matters could wait.

“Just take us home, when she’s awake, we would settle other matters,”

“But you have to go back to the capital today,” Lu San reminded as he his eyes met with his master’s eyes through the rearview mirror.

“Send us home,” this time, his voice was firm, telling Lu San that he didn’t want any argument.

It was at this moment that Rong Yue opened her eyes sleepily.

“Why are you asking him to send us home, didn’t you say you wanted to have a look at the laboratory and production rooms?” Rong Yue asked, rubbing her eyes as she raised her head up.

She shot Qin Yichen a look that was accusing him of cheating on her.

“Since you are awake now, Lu San would drive there first,”

Lu San had to resist his laughter as he peeped at the both of them through the holes of the barrier from the rearview mirror.
