105 Little Genius Ancestor!!

Rong Yue sighed as she looked at the brimming center while she and Wu Hao were being guided by the teachers.

It was almost like fate had helped the teachers chose after all, Wu Hao wasn’t supported by his family while Rong Yue didn’t want her mother to go through the trouble.

So different from all the people in their province, one had to say, their school had the least amount of crowd. With only teacher Lu and teacher Han, it was easy for people to look down on their unimpressive appearance.

“It seems like City A high school barely has anything to show this year, how can they send just two teachers?” Someone mocked.

“Last year, they already lost to a lesser school in their own city, of course, they won’t want to send so many faces to be slapped,” one of the teachers for another school said, hoping to get a reaction from them, after all, at some point in time, City A used to beat them in scoring, now that there was some opportunity to hit them while they were down, she didn’t want to let go of it.

Teacher Lu was about to advise the two students to not bother and not get carried away but was even surprised to see that their attention was in a totally different place.

Rong Yue was calmly explaining something to Wu Hao who listened calmly.

“Don’t forget that it’s important to not show your best hand like I said,”

For competitions like this, it was a normal thing for top families to want to use this as an advantage to showcase their children.

Standing out too early from the beginning was just going to cause too many troubles along the way.

It was better to avoid it early on.

Wu Hao nodded in understanding and did some last minute revision while Rong Yue looked through the evidence she wanted to send to Xu Che. After confirming it was what she wanted to send, she sent it and then made the system go in a sleep mode, after all, she didn’t want to be distracted during the exam or draw suspicion.

Few minutes later, the examination center was finally ready to start bringing them in. Although each school were to bring only two students.

In the province for this center, there were more than fifty schools as it gathered most of the schools in the lower cities. So there was a total of close to a hundred student.

To reduce the possibility of cheating, Wu Hao and Rong Yue were placed very far from each other, same as the other students.

Since it was the elimination stage, the questions were tough but also not too difficult, the main purpose was to get the top fifty in the entire country.

For provinces like this, it was difficult for them to get such a ranking and they only fought hard to make sure they did better than the school in their cities.

As soon as all the sitting arrangements were completed, the invigilators moved around and checked one more time before they allowed them inside the hall.

As for Rong Yue, she laid her head on the table as soon as she sat down, allowing her brain to rest from all the calculations and plans she had been making because of Xu Ning all night long.

More importantly, she did her best to get he emotions under control.

“Are you sure you are here for the exam or for a sleeping competition?” The invigilator scolded as soon as he got to Rong Yue’s side. However, after she raised her head, he was stunned speechless for a while before he moved forward.

Since he had already made people look over, most of the people that turned to see what was happening were also surprised by Rong Yue’s appearance.

With how pretty she was, could she still have anything upstairs? However, to be a school representative meant that she needed to have something upstairs so most of them were even more impressed.

As for girls, it was already normal for them to be easily susceptible to jealously, most of them felt uncomfortable with her outstanding appearance. But since they knew what they were here for, they quickly looked away.

Some of them also comforted themselves that it wasn’t possible for her to be that smart with her looks.

Actually, being pretty and intelligent was not a difficult combination and most of the average families and socialite families managed to pull it off.

But to have a beauty like that of Rong Yue that was stunning like that, it was hard to not make people envious.

Rong Yue didn’t mind anyone and just patiently waited for the papers to be distributed.

As soon as they were shared, she started her work immediately, not paying attention to her surroundings.

Unlike the central examination, this questions were tougher and also focused on combining the Chinese curriculum with other curriculum, after all, the final competition was going to be international and so the people that represented the country needed to have sufficient knowledge on all fronts.

With a total of 100 multi choice questions and twenty theory, a lot of people already had mental strain just by looking at the questions.

Rong Yue on the other hand didn’t find questions like this difficult and since she was also not looking to attract any unnecessary attention, she deliberately stalled on each question to make sure that she wasn’t done before time.

Even with how much time she had to wait, out of the three hours assigned to the paper, she was done in two hours, leaving her with an hour of free time.

She ran through the questions again, making sure that she had randomly failed enough. With her method of calculation, she already checked before to know the scores that made it to the top fifty.

After making sure that she had a mark or two above that, she finally placed her head back on the table with about thirty minutes left.

One had to know that, the test would have taken her about an hour and she had deliberately stalled for long. And even now when she was still thirty minutes ahead, a lot of people had questions they didn’t dare to finish in thirty minutes.

To be more precise, about seventy percent of the students in the hall were not yet halfway done with the question.

Knowing how hard it was, the moment the invigilators and other student saw Rong Yue place her head on the table, they quickly assumed that she had given up and couldn’t keep up again.

“It’s no surprise that she has given up, a beauty like her would have been spoiled silly by the whole world as a child. It would be hard for her to have the mental fortitude to take an exam like this,”

“I agree, I wonder which school sent her, after all, if it was based on beauty, I doubt any school in our province can compete, but this is based on academics after all,” another teacher replied, continuing the gossip.

“We can only know if we ask her.” With that, three of the many teachers that had been selected to invigilate the students made their way to where Rong Yue was seated.

“Student, are you done with your paper already?” One of them asked, knocking on the table rather loudly.

Rong Yue, who had slipped into a light slumber was quickly awakened by the knock as she raised her head up. Since her eyes were still in a daze from just waking up, she looked even more adorable, making the teacher soften his stance considerably.

“Are you done with your exam? This type of exam is directly related to the performance of your school,” he advised.

“I have done what I can,” Rong Yue replied honestly. The students closed by sneered as they heard that while the other teachers too had similar comical expressions on their faces.

If a supervisor from the capital was present, those teachers would very well not be looked well on, after all, they were causing a distraction for something that wasn’t worth it. If she was caught cheating or something, it would have been excusable. But now, they were just finding gossip for their sake.

“What school are you representing?”

“City A High school,” Rong Yue replied.

“As expected, it’s city A High school, to be able to present a level of beauty like this is already enough. They can leave the grades for us that actually put in the work.”

She watched as the teachers went while doing their best to hide the mocking looks on their faces.

After checking the big wall in front of the hall and confirming that she still had about twenty more minutes, she immediately went back to sleep, after all, there was no point losing sleep over something that she had finished doing.

As for Wu Hao, he also cross checked his answers one last time before finally closing his paper. However, instead of directly resting like Rong Yue, he just looked around the hall at the other students that were struggling.

The papers were soon collected and the Rong Yue that was closer to the entrance waited outside for Wu Hao.

“How was it?” Teacher Lu asked as soon as he saw both of them.

“We would not disappoint you,” Rong Yue said solemnly, however, one of the teachers that had been inside just now heard her words and scoffed.

“You gave up halfway into the exam, yet, you are so confident of your failure,” he scolded, not bothering to wait to argue.

Clearly, he felt Rong Yue was just being arrogant.

But teacher Lu already knew that this little ancestor was good at finishing early so he didn’t say a word, only gesturing for them to walk ahead so they could go back.
