President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest-Chapter 91
91 Qin Yichen, I Still Love My Life
Everyone that had once felt that there was no way Rong Yue could compete with these four got an immensely great face slap while Wang An, Wang Bo and all the other family members finally let out a sigh in relief.
“I already told all of you not to worry, Rong Yue has not met her rival,” Wang Lei said with a small chuckle.
Not only was her painting good, her calligraphy which she used to mark her name on the painting was really good too, it was so good that she had made it seem like a stroke in the painting itself.
“Wang, you have gotten yourself a good one,” President Pei said with a sigh, his gaze still fixed on the painting.
Rong Yue finally finished eating and then looked around the hall lazily her eyes meeting with several curious ones that were on her.
From the corner of her eyes, she felt a certain glaring gaze and she looked around to see it was Bai Lu, Rong Yue nodded subtly before turning away.
Back then, Bai Lu hadn’t crossed too much of her lines but she knew she had been a shrewd person and once in a while, she had even spoken against her in the news making all her fans attack her.
Now that the time was about eight years past and the competition she was facing wasn’t Tong Yue disguising as her and was herself, Rong Yue was sure that the matter wouldn’t just pass smoothly.
“Although she isn’t the best, Luo Yunxi is older and is also a man and so Bai Lu would probably not mind, but seeing all you ruthlessly pushed her off her seat, she wouldn’t let it go just like that,” Wang Bo told her as he remembered all the details he knew about Bai Lu from people.
.....
Since they all attended the same university, it was not hard to know the type of person she was.
“Hmmm, if she has the ability, she should fight back,” Rong Yue said with a shrug.
Grand Elder Pang also gave the gifts that he had prepared to Rong Yue and she got up to greet him politely.
“If you don’t mind, you should drop by when you have some free time to discuss some paintings with me,” Grand Elder Pang said, surprising a lot of people in the room, they hadn’t expected that he valued her work to that extent.
“Hmmm, next time I’m in the capital, I’ll ask master to bring me around,” Rong Yue replied heartily already warming up to the elder.
From her words, everyone from the younger generation sighed in relief as they felt it was already good that she wasn’t from here.
If she occasionally came around, there was no way she could match up to the authority they had built over the years.
Elder Pang nodded in satisfaction and then used his side eyes to glance at his grandson that was also staring at Rong Yue.
“How old are you this year, and what college do you attend?” Master Pei, the president of the painting association asked with a kind smile, as someone that was used to looking at matters more intricately, he felt that although her eyes and soul felt mature, this girl was still very young.
“I’m going to turn eighteen in some months and would enter college in the next academic session,”
Her answer had people stirring in the hall.
She was seventeen!
A seventeen years old girl had beaten all the other competitors that were nothing less than twenty one.
The youngest was Ning Li who was only twenty one while Bai Lu followed right after with twenty two.
Yet, Rong Yue was only seventeen.
While everyone was praising her in their minds and some verbally, Mo Fan shot a look at Qin Yichen.
“Isn’t she too young?”
“She would be eighteen very soon, also, age is nothing more than a number,” he replied stoically as he returned his gaze to his little beauty.
Throughout the party, people sang praises to Master Wang at his good eyes and some even wanted to find out more information about Rong Yue and her background from him.
Although the most influential families lived in the capital, there was still some families in other notable cities that had a solid background and if Rong Yue was from one of those families, it was going to be a good opportunity for them to start thinking of a marriage alliance.
Elder Wang, however was tight lipped and deflected all their questions smartly, he carefully created an ambiguous personality for her.
Knowing them, a lot of them would forget after a while and wouldn’t bother to search.
After a while, everywhere had loosened up and the young men and women started to socialize gradually.
Pang Ye, who had been waiting for the perfect time came up to meet the Wang family.
“Cousins! I had no idea you all would be making an appearance today, you are so hard to see every other time,” he said as he pulled Wang Lei into a hug.
Since the both of them were in their mid twenties and had grown up together, their bond was quite good and would occasionally hang out when they had enough time to spare.
“Father was bringing Yue’er, we didn’t want her to stay all alone and decided to accompany her,”
“Yue’er? Do you mean Miss Rong here?” He asked as he turned his gaze to Rong Yue that was talking with Wang An and Wang Bo.
“Hmmm,” Wang Lei’s eyes were fixed on Pang Ye, yet, he was unable to pick anything from his eyes or body language as he looked at Rong Yue which made him drop his suspicions.
“Yue’er, meet our cousin, he’s also a guest for today’s party, Pang Ye,” Wang Lei said as he called her attention.
Rong Yue had been discussing the games with the two brothers and giving them theoretical lessons on how they were supposed to advance and also beat the other people in the game when Wang Lei called her.
With eyes still gleaming from schooling the two, she turned around to look at the young man that was now standing beside Wang Lei.
“Young master Pang, it’s a pleasure to meet you, thank you for the hospitality.” Her tone was neither scheming or calculative while the purity in her eyes made Pang Ye feel even more drawn to her.
Her gaze was sharp and clear, it wasn’t hard to guess that, although she wasn’t a calculative person, she was also not someone without her own thoughts.
“As long as it was good enough for you,” Pang Ye said and then turned back to look at Wang Lei.
“I still have to greet other guests, I’ll be going now,” he said as he gave Wang An and Wang Bo brief greetings and left.
Wang Lei on the other hand looked at his departing back for a while before letting out a sigh in relief.
He had felt there was more to Pang Ye’s visit, yet he couldn’t point it out, it was like he had one answer in his heart but none of Pang He’s actions had really pointed that out.
After a while, he let out a sigh and pushed the thoughts out of his mind.
“Can I go out to get some air?” Rong Yue asked after a while as she felt she needed some air to let her dinner digest, she had eaten close to four rounds of meal since they came and was starting to feel a little bloated.
“Hmmm, just be careful,”
Rong Yue nodded in understanding and then stood up before allowing the two brothers to follow her.
Now that she knew they were going to be in the same university, she didn’t want to look forward to her first year anymore. Thankfully, they were already in their final year and would only be badgered by them for one year.
The large hall had seven doors with six doors by the side and one door at the entrance through where they had entered from.
Rong Yue took one of the doors closest to them by the side and stepped out into a corridor.
“Is there a way out from here, she asked one of the guards that were patrolling the corridor.
“Hmmm, there’s a garden there where guests can go, if you want to leave the building, you would go in this direction,” the guard told her, already used to people having a need for air in events like this.
After walking a while more, Rong Yue saw the garden ahead and sighed, although her dress was perfectly comfortable, she was not a fan of being surrounded by so many people.
She found a bench and sat down, leaning her head on the back rest so that she could get some rest.
“So you really don’t know me huh?” A cold voice rang out, breaking the silence and Rong Yue opened her eyes to see Qin Yichen walking in.
“As the second young master of the Qin family and the president of the Qin corporation, are you expecting me to agree to knowing you in a hall full of elites that would fight to their bones just to be with you?” Rong Yue asked, her brows scrunched up as she shot him a glare.
“Qin Yichen, I still love my life,”
