President's Daughter's Bodyguard-Chapter 74: Electrical…
Chapter 74: Electrical...
Ethan was very close... close enough for her to smell the blade still strapped to his thigh.
He leaned down just a little bit, the cruel amusement was building in his expression as if he were enjoying every inch of fear he caused.
He lifted her chin...
"She dares to speak to me like that. After everything she has seen," he began shaking his head.
Danielle met his stare with pure defiance. "I would rather die than respect you."
Ethan’s smile widened...
"Death is too easy for you."
He raised his hand and motioned to one of the men standing behind her. The man brought over a small metal box and opened it.
Danielle’s breath hitched when she recognised it... stun device built for interrogation... not quick, but slow and very very painful...
Ethan took it gently and very tenderly. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"You will learn control," he said. "Or you will learn pain."
Danielle turned her face away, refusing to give him the mistake of seeing her fear.
"You can destroy my body. You will never own my voice."
Ethan laughed like a mad dog.
"Oh, princess. I already own your voice. You just proved it on camera."
And then he pressed the device against her ribs.
A violent current ripped through her. Her back arched against the chair as her scream tore through the warehouse.
"Aaaaarrrghhhhh!!!!"
Her vision went white and her bones felt like they shattered into light.
Ethan waited just long enough for her lungs to beg for air again before he lifted the device away.
Danielle slumped forward, gasping, her tears started to blur her sight.
"Again," Ethan murmured.
"No," Jackson said quietly from the corner, his hands twisted together. "That is enough. You got what you wanted."
Ethan turned his head slowly.
"You speak again without permission... and I will cut your tongue out."
Jackson stopped breathing...
Ethan grabbed Danielle by the hair and forced her head back, making her look him in the eyes.
"You think your father will save you?" he asked. "He let your mother die. He will let you die too."
Danielle’s heart stopped.
"What... did you say...?"
Ethan smirked like a goat.
"He left her bleeding in a hospital bed while he signed a business deal...He used love as a mask. And when the woman who loved him most needed help... he abandoned her."
"You are lying..."
He was indeed lying. Ethan used to gaslight his victims into believing his nonsense and then thinking they were hopeless, useless and ready to die.
And when that happened, Ethan most of the time offered them freedom, not letting them know they were getting hunted by him or his men.
So far, there was not a single victim who survived his sick games alive except for Theo.
And that was infuriariating...
"Ask Frank. Ask Theo. Ask the ghosts you talk to at night."
He placed the device under her chin this time.
"Your father is a murderer... and so are you."
The current surged again.
Danielle had no voice left to give... Her body convulsed, chair rattled as though it wanted to throw her free.
Darkness flooded the edges of her vision. She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t even think...
When Ethan finally released the trigger, she collapsed forward and her chest started heaving, sweat and tears dripped from her face.
"That is better," Ethan whispered. "Broken looks good on you."
He grabbed her jaw and lifted her head again.
"Look at me."
Her eyelids flickered, barely able to rise.
"You belong to the winning side now. And I am going to carve that lesson into every part of you."
Danielle forced her lips to move. Her voice came out trembling.
"You... will... lose..."
The warehouse fell silent... Every man stiffened.
Ethan stared at her like she was a puzzle he could not yet solve. Then he leaned close enough for his breath to touch her ear.
"Not tonight."
He snapped his fingers.
Two men appeared, dragging a long black table. They strapped her onto it, wrists locked high above her head, ankles bound so tight she could not move at all.
Danielle strained against the restraints but the pain in her muscles was too much. She couldn’t stop the panic building in her chest.
Ethan stepped back and admired the scene like a painter admiring his latest work.
"You will not escape again," he said softly. "And if Theo manages to arrive..." He smiled with pure evil.
"He will watch you break piece by piece... and then...hahahaha!!! Hahhahahhaha!!!!!"
Danielle felt her heart pulse violently like she was in a war zone, but it was not from fear of death... but fear for Theo.
Her voice broke.
"Please... don’t talk about him like this..."
Ethan’s eyes softened into a sickening false tenderness.
"Oh Danielle... I cannot wait to hurt him again if he actually lived...but knowing how lucky that cockroach always is-it pisses me off to even think of it."
Danielle cried silently... letting out small, broken breaths.
And the warehouse lights flickered as alarms suddenly blared through the building.
Ethan turned immediately to see what was the issue.
"What is that?"
Jackson looked at his phone, panic flashed like a light in his eyes.
"Motion sensors triggered. Someone is coming."
Ethan’s smile returned and it looked much sharpened than before.
"Let them come."
He took Danielle’s chin one last time and whispered:
"This is only the beginning."
Danielle’s eyes fluttered shut as cold terror won over her strength, hoping that it was Theo who was actually coming.
And Ethan was waiting.
"You see, the moment anyone steps in...I will blow this building up..."
"What?!"
"What...?"
Jackson and Danielle both looked at Ethan who simply lost his emotional control...
"Yeah! This censor here...it will make us all go poof!"
Jackson’s lower lip started to tremble and his own heart felt like it was experiencing a deja-vu...
"Ethan? We’re inside! We will die too!"
But Ethan bent down and shifted his head to the side, "that’s okay!"
