Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System-Chapter 768: Breaking the Ranking
Chapter 768: Breaking the Ranking
"How..."
Elder Lance asked, staring dumbfoundedly at the display board.
The two disciples beside him wore the same expression.
On the board display, it showed that Lorin Talyth was the top ranker among the hundreds who entered the Flame Tower.
Of course, that could be managed, considering that when it comes to the tower, merely being the strongest doesn’t mean they would be the top rankers..
The tower looks at flame resistance and understanding. So perhaps she has the talent and has hidden it from everyone. That can be assumed and perhaps speculated.
However, what appeared before her name, now ranked at the top, was what shocked everyone. Of course, they were even more blown away when the first seven names appeared.

All seven names were of people nobody expected to take the top seven spots. And to think they all mastered a heavenly grade technique completely — that is just too much.
"Just what is happening to this year’s Flame Tower trial? Not only have seven people mastered a technique, but they have also mastered all five forms of it, and this accomplishment was achieved in under four hours.
That is just too much," Elder Lance said, looking at the display board with a shocked expression.
Lord Qilin looked at the board with a puzzled expression.
"Elder Vaelrith, which sect is the Lorin girl from again?" Though he is the leader of the Qilin and the entirety of the Beast Race, he doesn’t know everyone, and he most certainly didn’t know much about Lorin, considering he only came out of seclusion a few hours ago to attend this event.
But now, seeing someone from his race dominating the charts, he couldn’t help but ask.
Elder Vaelrith leaned in and answered, "She is the daughter of a 5th in command of the Qilin army and the top third ranker in the Dawnless Sect. We initially estimated she would only be able to reach the second level and perhaps master a technique.
But we never expected her to show promising results from the get-go."
The elder was both shocked and happy. The fact that someone from his race was this impressive made all the difference here.
But they weren’t the only ones wondering just what had happened. The Flame Demons, the Tigerkin, the Dwarves, the Dark Elves, the Ice and Shadow Demons — all of them were wondering the same thing.
The names that appeared on their board aren’t from people of high standing. In the seven races, all seven of them were merely added to the roster because, while there are millions in these races, finding talented flame users is rare.
But now, something this unexpected had happened, and everyone couldn’t wrap their heads around it.
They just don’t understand what was going on.
Of course, while everyone was wondering what the hell was happening, the half-elves were just sighing in their hearts, knowing full well who was behind the current events inside the Flame Tower.
They already knew this had something to do with Kent, for he was the only one with the means to make nobodies suddenly gain recognition and strength like the seven names now displayed on the board.
’Just what is your angle here, Kent?’ Queen Jascia wondered, not understanding what Kent intended to gain by making seven nobodies suddenly gain prominence.
Meanwhile, back inside the tower, the seven who mastered their Flame Arts stood on the path leading to the second level.
"Are you all ready?" Lorin asked, and all six with her nodded in agreement.
"Then let’s go." Thus, they moved and soon started climbing to the second level.
On the outside, the seven races may not be united. But inside the tower, a friendship was formed, one that saw seven unlikely people become friends, born out of sheer determination to compete with those born into privilege.
Kent was already on his way to the fourth level, unaware that his generosity had created seven grateful survivalists, all focused on proving their worth.
"The heat from here is rather potent," Kent said as he moved from one step to the next. Although his cultivation technique was working, he could still feel the heat, indicating just how much energy they were exerting against each other.
After climbing the 35th step, he caught up to the first of the few brave ones climbing to the fourth level. It was a lady elf. When Kent got to her side and saw how she was struggling, he knew she wouldn’t make it.
She had the determination, but deep within her eyes, she knew she wouldn’t be able to make it.
"You know, sometimes it is okay to give up," Kent said, taking the next step upward, making sure he was facing the lady.
"We were often taught how to keep moving and never give up. However, in some situations, you just have to know that giving up is the only answer.
So why not just give up? Learning mystical-grade flame arts isn’t too bad. You can become famous with just a single mystical-grade flame art, especially in a medium world like Sonox.
So just give up and go learn one. At least with 2 days and 17 hours still left, you can master two mystical-grade techniques."
The smile on his face would infuriate everyone, especially someone like a prideful elf, who was meant to be boiling like hot water.
But to Kent’s surprise, she ignored him and took the next step, slowly stood up straight, and looked at him.
"Maybe you humans give up because you are losers, but on this side of the world, we elves don’t give up... never."
Kent smiled, hearing her answer.
