Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!-Chapter 606: The Power of the Giants
Chapter 606: The Power of the Giants
His eyes flashed with a frenzy of emotion and pain. Then he summoned an enormous pillar of earth from below, using his power as a giant, and smashed it into his body before Matthew could act to destroy him with those incredibly powerful, murderous threads.
When Matthew acted, although they managed to wound him, the threads were strongly repelled by that huge pillar of rocks.
Matthew frowned. ’This guy ...’ But he couldn’t even think as several pillars of rock emerged from the ground like murderous stakes and tried to impale him.
The giant’s power was unleashed from Leader Becker’s body, and his giant, bloodied body leapt over Matthew, reaching its maximum speed instantly.
Although Matthew noticed it quickly, he couldn’t avoid it. He was surrounded by murderous stakes and a huge body coming from above seeking to kill him; he had to deal with one attack at a time.
So he focused his gaze on the stakes below and to the side of him that were flying towards him terribly, being the easiest to fix.
Then he threw his sword down to shatter one of the stakes and took advantage of the moment and momentum to surround all the stakes with powerful threads that easily pierced them, cutting them into fine, perfect pieces in an instant.
Matthew grabbed hold of one of the pieces to propel himself out of reach of Leader Becker’s attack, but it was in vain. Those huge hands that were several times his body size were soon right in front of his eyes.
’Shit. Although he’s slow, he’s so heavy that gravity accelerates his speed.’
Matthew looked around, thinking about what to do, until he saw the pieces of the stakes still floating in the sky. An idea immediately came to him, and he activated Vision Breaker’s ability differently, to pull all those pieces of stone towards him, forming an enormous rock wall, incredibly resistant in front of him.
This wall arrived just in time to stop the powerful attack of Leader Becker, but it was not enough.
It soon shattered, and Matthew took much of the damage full on.
His body flew backward at great speed from the impact, and he fell to the ground with an explosion.
Behind him, Leader Becker swept aside the rising dust and struck him once more.
"So much talk for so little action, Matthew Dietrich!" he roared and shook the city with his fists, destroying several buildings as collateral damage from his great movements.
But today, he wasn’t worried about that. He was in a life-or-death battle for his entire clan. The fact that the Allens were coming with all their forces and allied forces showed that they weren’t playing around. They were completely serious about destroying his clan.
What did a measly city matter? The most important thing was to maintain the legacy of the Becker Clan.
That’s why he didn’t care much. He just wanted to get rid of the most dangerous of them all.
He knew that if he did, he might get help before his clan was destroyed. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
That’s why his heavy fists didn’t stop hitting and instantly caused great tremors. No one could react to this attack because it came out of the blue, and most were busy fighting their own battles.
"... Shit, it’s still so exhausting to have this transformation active." His mind started to hurt, unconsciously reducing the blows and their power.
’He should have died by now,’ he thought, sighing.
But suddenly, his increasingly tired arms were repelled by a tremendous force.
For a moment, he lost sight of everything in front of him, and in another moment, he felt pain overwhelm him from his side.
Looking down, he saw that Matthew, deeply wounded and with blood all over his body, was hitting him severely in the side, at the same time as the killer threads tightened in his left arm. He couldn’t help it.
Suddenly, Matthew’s mighty fist pushed him back like a kite, leaving a bloody trail along his arm in pieces of flesh minced by the killer threads.
’...’ His mind went blank, not knowing what had just happened until his body was violently impaled by powerful stakes of rock that had grown out of the ground.
’Power of the giants... It’s true.’ It was then that he remembered that this bastard had ’stolen’ the abilities of his other son too and was now using them against him.
This filled him with rage, and although those mighty rocks were impaling him and his body seemed to want to give in to the pain, he shook his last arm with fervor until he shattered them. Then, suddenly, he invoked his Universal Path.
For the first time, Matthew was forced to back down without even being attacked, and it was because of his feelings about that Universal Path and the way he was using it.
"Path of Destruction? Wow... Although it’s as expected of a giant, I didn’t expect it here. But..."
The way he invoked his path of destruction was different from what was customary. He invoked it internally, so the energy and Waves that he could invoke were in him and in his arm; they traveled through his body but did not leave it.
Leader Becker suddenly seemed to start babbling.
"Although I never completely mastered it, it is still the most feared Way. With my power of the giants, nothing can stop me. But you are an ancient being, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. What can you do against the destruction of my Power of the Giants?"
Although he only had one arm now, he wasn’t worried. The power of the giants used through his path required nothing more than one arm. So he jumped backwards and landed on top of a destroyed building to get away from Matthew.
Then he raised his arm towards him and roared: "This is all the power I have in my hand, Matthew Dietrich. Be honored to be the first to test it since the Battle of the Heirs."
Immediately, the power of the giants emerged in a different form.
