QT: The Rescue Of The Miserable Bigshots-Chapter 227 - 8.14
Chapter 227: 8.14
"Woof woof woof, woof woof woof!"
Early in the morning, a sudden burst of barking rang out at the gate of Fu Yanchen’s villa.
Fu Yanchen, who was just about to start his breakfast, frowned slightly.
It seemed that he was disturbed by the noise.
It was strange. Ever since he drank that bowl, no, that whole pot of chicken soup Jiang Jiamian made last night, the breakfast made by the butler this morning suddenly seemed tasteless.
And Jiang Jiamian was still in the guest room on the second floor, showing no signs of coming out.
He couldn’t just barge in, wake him up, and make him cook breakfast again... right?
After all, no matter what, the other party was staying in the villa as a private family doctor, not a servant.
The housekeeper noticed that Fu Yanchen hadn’t touched his chopsticks for a long time and, feeling a little awkward, stepped forward and asked, "Master, do you not have an appetite this morning?"
As for the reason?
He more or less understood it.
After all, the soup young master Jiang made last night smelled amazing, even he could smell it from a distance.
And the young master, who was usually picky with food and had only a modest appetite, had served himself to bowl after bowl until the entire pot was gone.
The housekeeper was well aware that his own cooking skills weren’t great. The family had hired professional chefs before, but none had lasted more than a month.
In the end, there was no other choice, so the housekeeper had taken it upon himself to cook.
"Doggie!"
Who knew that before the housekeeper could even take a step, the sound of the door opening echoed from the second floor, followed by a surprised voice.
Then, before Fu Yanchen and the housekeeper could make sense of the situation, they saw Jiang Jiamian, who was still wearing his pajamas, nearly sprinting down the stairs and rushing toward the front door.
Outside, the barking suddenly picked up in pitch, becoming sharp and excited, as if the dog had sensed something.
Then Fu Yanchen and the housekeeper watched as Jiang Jiamian pulled open the door, before they could react, a big golden retriever pounced on him with pure joy. The next moment, man and dog were hugging and rolling together like long-lost friends.
Fu Yanchen: "..."
Butler: "..."
The butler subconsciously glanced at Fu Yanchen’s face, and saw that his face sank.
This was trouble.
His young master had been allergic to dog hair since childhood. On top of that, when he was in a bad mood, dogs tended to irritate him even more.
The butler laughed dryly, and before Fu Yanchen got angry, he took a few steps towards Jiang Jiamian and asked in a low voice, "Young Master Jiang, whose dog is this?"
Jiang Jiamian gently stroked the dog’s fur and smiled warmly, "This little guy’s name is Lele, it’s my pet. He always sticks close to me and can pick up my scent from far away. No wonder my mom called this morning, saying she forgot to close the door and thought he ran off, but it turns out he was just coming to find me."
"This..."
The butler stared at the big golden retriever affectionately sticking to Jiang Jiamian’s legs, clearly at a loss for words. He then glanced quickly at gloomy Fu Yanchen, who remained silent, before finally speaking up, "Young Master Jiang, it’s just that... my master is allergic to dog hair. Could you please take this golden retriever back home?"
Jiang Jiamian was momentarily stunned. He glanced at the housekeeper, then at Fu Yanchen sitting behind him at the dining table. "He is allergic to dog hair?"
Fu Yanchen’s complexion seemed to worsen slightly, and his breathing became short and rapid. When he heard the question, he slowly lifted his head and nodded, confirming the butler’s words.
Jiang Jiamian chuckled softly, "It’s not a big problem. My prescription can cure all diseases, allergies are nothing."
He turned around and gently patted the top of the dog’s head, "Lele, go upstairs first."
The system’s spiritual consciousness transmitted a voice, trembling slightly, "I nearly had a heart attack! I thought you wanted me to be sent back to the system space."
Jiang Jiamian laughed lightly, "How can that be? I promised you could enjoy the outside world a bit. Go quickly. Anyway, my medical skills are already magical, and it’s normal to cure a small allergy."
The system wagged its tail happily and ran straight up the stairs, "Okay!"
The housekeeper watched in surprise as it actually ran upstairs. Nearby, the golden retriever purposely kept away from the dining table and Fu Yanchen. He couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, "So smart! It actually understands all of this!"
Jiang Jiamian’s eyes flickered briefly, and he let out a dry laugh, "Haha, it’s obvious, isn’t it? Just look who raised it."
At the same time, Jiang Jiamian’s speechless voice rang out almost synchronously in his sea of consciousness, "System, you are just supposed to run upstairs! Why are you avoiding Fu Yanchen?"
The system shuddered and replied, "Woof woof woof, I forgot! I thought I was being considerate... and almost forgot I’m a dog!"
Jiang Jiamian: "..."
Why did he get the sudden feeling that letting the iron-headed system roam free might not have been a good idea?
Fu Yanchen’s uneven, rapid breaths grew more noticeable, catching Jiang Jiamian’s full attention. Just as the housekeeper hurried forward, Jiang Jiamian stepped in first, grabbing the wheelchair handles before him.
Before he could react, the housekeeper was left behind, dumbfounded for a moment.
"Young Master Jiang?" He said softly, hesitating.
Jiang Jiamian quickly took control of the wheelchair, pushing Fu Yanchen toward the bedroom. He didn’t turn his head, but his voice was steady and reassuring, "Don’t worry about him, I’ve got this. You should eat breakfast while it’s still warm. Don’t waste it. I will handle everything from here and make sure he is fine."
