Raised From The Wild-Chapter 303: The Siren
After a few more tributes and speeches from the important ministers and court officials of the kingdom, Riyanah Miley was finally called on stage to render a song.
The spotlight was focused on the entrance from backstage. Beautiful Riyanah Miley appeared in a daring dress. Her floor-length silver gown was entirely sheer with only silver crystals and sequins covering her chest, thighs, and private area. The bold garment had high slits on both sides that exposed the side of her thighs and has practically invisible straps, creating the illusion that she only wore the silver crystals. The hemline was tapered at her ankle and then spread on the floor like a fishtail.
What a sight to behold. She looked like a Siren.
King Ralden, who loved beautiful women could not take his eyes off the temptress. He even forgot to keep watch on Amaya.
Zanzara noticed the look in Ralden’s eyes. She was jealous so she tugged at King Ralden’s sleeves to catch his attention.
Ralden glared at her before refocusing his gaze on the beautiful woman who was dancing slowly while singing a famous pop song.
Zanzara froze. It was the first time that King Ralden glared at her. He would usually look at her gently. She felt an incredible chill creep down her spine when she saw the glint in her husband’s eyes. It was fleeting but she saw something that caused her to shiver.
"What a beautiful dress. Why don’t you dress like that the next I visit your chamber, my queen." King Ralden spoke in his sexy voice. He was talking to Zanzara but his eyes were focused on Riyanah Miley.
"The dress is indeed beautiful, My Lord. Yes, I will have the seamstress make me a dress like that." Queen Zanzara said obediently.
"Good! I like obedient girls." King Ralden cast her a doting look before turning his head back to the stage.
Meanwhile, Riyanah who was singing on the stage, basked in the adoring gazes she received from the audience, especially the men. However, there was one person whom she wanted to see that look of adoration.
Riyana Miley scanned the audience. She found Marx sitting behind Amaya’s table and his eyes were focused on her back. Even from a distance, she could see how gentle Marx’s gaze was.
The siren on the stage reluctantly shifted her gaze to someone else as she tightened her grip on the microphone. Reality struck her. With her exquisite dress and beautiful face and figure, in Marx’s eyes, she could not even compare to the back view of Amaya.
The moment Riyanah Miley finished her performance, she hurried backstage only to find an assistant of the King of Ra-Iya waiting for her.
"Miss Miley, the King of Ra-Iya was pleased with your performance. He is inviting Miss Miley to join him at his table so he can personally express his admiration."
"There is no need." Riyanah protested. She wanted to sit beside Marx even if the detestable Princess Amaya was also sitting there and did not plan to entertain other people.
"His Majesty insists, Miss Miley. Please give him face." The assistant spoke politely but his facial expression was telling Riyanah that she could not say no.
She sighed and followed the tall slender man who was wearing golden-rimmed glasses to where the King and the Queen of Ra-iya were seated.
"Greetings your Majesties." Riyanah bowed slightly. Though she grew up in a different culture, as an artist, she was trained to respect and follow other cultures.
King Ralden extended his hand. Since he offered his hand first, Riyanah accepted it.
"That was a stellar performance, Miss Fiona Chase. What a lovely voice." He scanned her from head to toe and held her hand tightly.
Fiona was surprised. The king’s voice was so pleasant that she wanted to hear more of it. She also did not expect the king to know about her real name. She had instructed her manager to make sure that her real identity was hidden.
"You have a beautiful voice, Your Majesty. I think if you sing on the stage, you will overshadow my performance." Fiona was speaking honestly. She was not flattering him but speaking the truth.
"I agree with my husband that you sing beautifully Miss Miley." Queen Zanzara interjected. She emphasized the word husband when she noticed that the two people were still holding each other hands.
Fiona pulled her hands casually.
"Thank you for your compliment, Queen Zanzara," Fiona said in a polite tone.
"Why don’t you share a table with us, Miss Chase?" King Ralden asked.
Fiona looked around and found that Marx was sitting at the table where Princess Amaya was. She was sitting with the children of the crown prince and there was no vacant seat left.
King Ralden noticed the way Fiona Chase looked at Marx longingly. Her expression however changed when she saw that he was sitting beside Amaya.
The corner of the King’s lips curled upwards. ’Interesting. I need to dig deeper into Fiona Chase.’ He thought as his smile turned into a smirk.
At the King’s table, a young prince was standing beside Prince Ibarra. He was the Crown Prince of Albania. The people who came with him presented a gift that was carefully selected and taken from the treasures of the Albanian Royal Family.
"My Father is sending his greetings and warm wishes to the Crown Prince. It is unfortunate, that Father is sick, so he sent me on his stead to bring the gifts of the Albanian people to His Highness, the Crown Prince Ibarra." Prince Raquim was very respectful. While they were both crown princes, he belonged to the younger generation.
After a few more exchanges, Prince Raquim left the King’s table and walked to the next table on the left where Princess Amaya was.
"Princess Amaya! It’s been so long!" He extended his hand toward Amaya and the Princess placed her hand on his.
Prince Raquim planted a lingering kiss on the back of her hand. He felt that Amaya’s hand was smoother compared to last time. Her hand was soft and fragrant. He did not want to let go of her hand but he felt a cold glare boring at his back, like a knife piercing his flesh.
He reluctantly let go and straightened his back. He took an exquisite and scented envelope from his pocket and handed it to Princess Amaya.
"My sister, Tamara insisted that I personally hand this invitation to you. She is getting married in two months and she wishes that you could be her maid of honor." Prince Raquim was smiling throughout. He looked more amiable when he smiled. The noble ladies nearby were looking at him with infatuation.
Amaya stared at Prince Raquim. There was something different about him that Amaya could not place.
Marx coughed and casually reached out and held Amaya’s hand. He made sure that the ring on Amaya’s finger was visible and he rubbed it gently with his thumb. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
