"THREE!!" Vritra counted, he slightly pushed the knife forward as the tip pierced through his skin, as blood trickled down his chest.

Even with his high level of defence, it couldn’t withstand his strength that was even higher.

Yasmine was truly freaking out now, he didn’t look like he was joking at all, neither was he listening to her nor could she push the knife away forcefully.

"TWO!!" Vritra counted and pushed the knife even further into his body as blood spluttered out, drenching his clothes.

These messages poured out in his mind so rapidly as if his dear skill was afraid of being just a bit late, and finally Vritra’s hand paused and he opened his eyes with a smile.

Yasmine gently lay on the table behind the box feeling exhausted, he just gave her such a bad scare but now seeing him smiling she was sure he had achieved his goal.

But she could also tell that he might really have pushed that knife forward if those messages didn’t pop at the right moment, she didn’t even have words to speak to him.

She felt angry and tired, so she just lay there in her small form.

"I got it." Finally he averted his gaze from the message and put the knife away then looked up but didn’t find his wife floating in the air, he looked forward and saw the white dragon sprawled on the table.

"Oh sorry about that, this was the only way I could think of." He apologized and didn’t give her time to vent her anger as he focussed all his concentration on the box.

Much to his joy, he could perfectly understand all the letters and words of this language, the skill was working perfectly.

Even though he could now understand it, but just as Yasmine had said it wasn’t very easy to decode.

While the soul wraiths were busy with their tasks and Yasmine was resting, Vritra focussed completely on solving the puzzle.

Several hours had passed, the more Vritra solved the more complicated the puzzle seemed, it didn’t make any sense, so many words were just there to confuse him.

And how was he supposed to know which words are useless.

After more than ten hours had passed, Vritra arranged the tiles as they formed a sentence which made the most sense according to him, there were too many possibilities.

The lid of the black box opened finally and a dense fog was released before the object inside it finally came to view.

Yasmine noticed it too, and she instantly became excited, she flew towards him and put her head over his shoulder and curiously observed it.

The tiles on the top of the box reshuffled and formed three words in the same ancient language.

"What does it say?" She asked, already forgiving him for his earlier act.

"DIVINE SIN WHEEL!!"

Soon a circular disc that was black in colour and had golden words written on it ends was revealed there was even a metallic needle at the centre.

It looked like some kind of roulette wheel.

"Don’t tell me it is some kind of game that people played in ancient times." Vritra didn’t want to lose the hope, especially after seeing it name so he picked it up.

He held the wheel from the back, there was a small holder on its back. He touched the needles that was pointing towards the right, it wouldn’t move.

Then he rotated the wheel lightly, slowly losing hope in this game like thing.

The black wheel began to rotate, instead of slowing down its speed kept increasing. It rotated faster and faster, at one point a blinding light was emitted from it as Vritra closed his eyes.

When he looked around the wheel had disappeared from his hand, instead a new message appeared in front of him.

"... Yes." Vritra didn’t see any harm, even Yasmine didn’t stop him this time.

"Sure go ahead, I don’t sense any kind of danger." Yasmine said, she had seen such a thing for the first time as well.

Taking a deep breath, Vritra focussed on the wheel in his mind and willed it to rotate.

The wheel rotated, flashing a brilliant light and as it came to a stop a message popped in front of him.

"..." Vritra released the breath he was holding, he was still smiling.

It’s okay this was just the first time, even if the original rate of winning is very low but with 50% increment it should be above 50, he was sure he would win at least once.
