Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1007: I’ve Noticed You’re Getting More and More Glib
Lily Turner stared at Easton Holmes for a long time, pursed her lips, and finally spoke slowly: "Does Benjamin Shaw have someone he’s interested in romantically?"
That man must have a romantic interest, otherwise he wouldn’t ignore such an outstanding sister. But it’s just as well, her sister seems to like someone too, so they can both go their separate ways without holding each other back.
This girl! She gave him quite a start; he thought she was going to ask him something about himself.
Hearing Lily Turner ask about Benjamin Shaw, Easton Holmes’s tensed heart relaxed instantly, "Did you hear this from your sister?"
As soon as she asked, he realized she was inquiring on behalf of her sister.
"I’m just asking, my sister didn’t say anything." Lily Turner immediately denied it, and then she pressed further: "Just tell me, does he have someone he’s interested in or not?"
She wasn’t being nosey or gossiping; she was searching for some information that might be useful to her sister.
Easton Holmes shook his head: "I don’t know about this."
He shook his head again as he spoke.
"You don’t know? How is that possible?" Lily Turner didn’t believe Easton Holmes at all, grabbing hold of his shirt, "Easton Holmes! You’re just covering for your friend!"
In her view, him saying he didn’t know was just protecting his friend.
Easton Holmes let out a long sigh: "Sweetheart! I’m not covering for anyone, I truly don’t know."
He swears he really doesn’t know. Although that person is his good friend, he’s genuinely not informed about his friend’s romantic life.
"That man is your best friend. How could you not know whether he has someone he’s interested in?" Lily Turner pulled Easton’s shirt closer to her, "Since you don’t know, maybe your other two friends might know? Let me have your phone so I can call them and ask."
She was just bluffing a certain man; she wouldn’t be foolish enough to reveal her sister’s matters everywhere.
Lily Turner’s intentions were obvious on her face; Easton Holmes could certainly see it. Knowing she was bluffing, he still played along and refused her, "I don’t know, and they surely don’t know either, so don’t trouble others."
He was telling the truth; if he didn’t know, then the other two friends likely wouldn’t know either.
"What kind of good friends are you all if you don’t know anything about each other? Do you guys just hang out drinking all the time?" Lily Turner shook Easton’s shirt and then playfully slapped him, "You’re so annoying."
She thought she might learn some insider news, but ended up with nothing, sighing in disappointment at him.
Easton Holmes took away the hands clutching his shirt mischievously, placing them back around his waist, "When do we ever hang out all the time? I’m clearly spending all my time with you."
He looked down at her, still wearing a cheerful smile on his face.
"I notice you’re getting cheekier by the day." Lily Turner rolled her eyes at him, although her curled lips betrayed her true feelings.
Bang bang bang!
At that moment, someone suddenly knocked on the door.
"Lily! Come out for a sec."
After the knocking, Alice Turner’s voice came from outside, sounding rather urgent.
"My sister is looking for me."
Lily Turner patted the man holding her, signaling for him to let her go.
