After being firmly rejected by Luke Crowe, Lily Turner decided to give Easton Holmes a call to discuss whether they could talk over the phone or reschedule their meeting.

"Sorry! The number you dialed is currently on another call, please try again later."

When the call went through, what she heard was a beep indicating that the other party was on another call.

Lily dialed several times in a row, but each time she was met with the same busy signal. She thought Easton Holmes might be talking to someone else about something important.

However, the reality was entirely different. He had anticipated her call and had preemptively added her number to the blocked list.

Lily Turner had no way of knowing this, nor did she even consider the possibility.

With the call failing to connect and Luke unable to make a decision, Lily had to rearrange her plans. She asked Alice Turner to drive to her private apartment first, and planned to go back after discussing matters with Easton Holmes.

Alice had a good impression of Easton and readily agreed to Lily's arrangement upon hearing that Easton wanted to talk to Lily. She happily took Lily's belongings and left the hospital first.

Freya Yeager, although unaware of who Lily was meeting, deduced from Alice's cheerful demeanor that the person must be exceptional. Anyway, it wasn't really her business, so she wisely left too.

Lily left the hospital with Luke, and after driving for a while, she tried calling Easton again, only to hear the same busy tone once more.

Even at this point, she didn't think much about it, still assuming the person on the other end was on another call.

"Where does your boss want to meet me?"

As Lily hung up and turned to look out the window, she noticed the car heading towards Scenic Garden Apartments. She shifted her gaze to Luke, who was driving.

Upon hearing this, Luke sat up straight and glanced at Lily in the rearview mirror, replying honestly, "At Scenic Garden Apartments."

"Has he already gone over?" Lily was reluctant to go to Scenic Garden Apartments, and if Easton hadn't arrived yet, she wanted to discuss meeting elsewhere.

"Yes!"

Luke nodded to Lily in the back seat, indicating that his boss had set out with him earlier. Luke went to pick someone up from the hospital while his boss drove to Scenic Garden Apartments.

Lily said nothing more to Luke, knowing he couldn't make these decisions. She decided it would be best to speak directly to someone who could.

She took the phone she had just tucked away out of her bag and without hesitation dialed Easton's number again, but sadly, the result was the same as before.

Who on earth was Easton talking to? Why was he on the phone for so long? If he was so busy, why arrange a meeting with her?

Amidst her confusion, Luke dropped her off at Scenic Garden Apartments. After checking the surroundings to ensure there were no suspicious figures, he unlocked the car for her to get out and meet Easton.

Worried about being recognized, Lily kept her head down as she entered the apartment.

"Lily?!"

A familiar voice called out from the side. Instinctively, Lily turned to look, and upon seeing who had called her, her expression immediately darkened.
