Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 84: Are You So Despised by Others?
Chapter 84 - 84: Are You So Despised by Others?
Easton Holmes suddenly changed his expression, and Lily Turner, who had been staring at him, noticed immediately. She felt extremely puzzled. Had she just said something she shouldn't have?
Could it be that he doesn't like being called manipulative?
That can't be right! She had just casually made a joke.
Lily shook her head in confusion, worried that she might say something else inappropriate and offend the man, so she decided to remain silent. She sat quietly, looking out the car window, trying to be a silent beauty.
The woman beside him suddenly became quiet, and Easton Holmes wasn't used to it. He turned to look at her in confusion, "Why aren't you talking? You're not seriously mad at me, are you?"
She had been chirping away just a moment ago, and now she wasn't saying a word. The only reason he could think of was that she was upset.
Hearing Easton speak, Lily slowly withdrew her gaze from the window and turned to him with a surprised tilt of her head. However, she quickly returned to normal, "Shouldn't I be mad at you?"
In fact, she wasn't truly angry; she was just upset that he didn't tell her anything. He pulled her into the car without a word, and when she asked where they were going, he dodged the question.
Rather than being angry at him, she was more nervous and worried—nervous about what he was taking her out to do and worried about being caught by paparazzi.
The rumors online had barely settled down. If they were photographed again, it would cause a huge stir.
She didn't want to be on the headlines because of such things anymore; with too many of these incidents, even fake ones might become real.
"Did I say something I shouldn't have?" Easton didn't directly answer Lily's question but instead asked her back.
Lily didn't expect Easton to ask her in return. She stared at him for a long time until he felt her gaze and turned to look at her. Only then did she quickly withdraw her gaze and hurriedly glanced to the side.
"You didn't say anything wrong, it's just your way of doing things that I find hard to accept." What she found most unacceptable was that she still didn't know where he was taking her, and he showed no intention of telling her.
"Don't worry, I won't eat you, let alone sell you." He just wanted to find a quiet place to be with her for a while. This idea had only occurred to him the moment he saw her. Thinking of this, Easton couldn't help but glance at her in the passenger seat.
Lily absolutely couldn't guess Easton's real thoughts, nor could she imagine he would harbor such ideas. Hearing him say that, even though she knew he was joking, she still gave him an exasperated glare.
"Who's selling who is still uncertain."
Alas! She was just being stubborn. With her intelligence, she'd probably end up counting money for someone who sold her.
"You can't sell me, because you won't find a buyer." Easton seemed to be joking, but he was speaking the truth. Who would dare to buy him, or could afford to?
Even if he went crazy and agreed to let her openly auction him, people would only think she was a madwoman, a fearless madwoman.
Lily blinked in confusion, "Can't find a buyer? Are you that disliked?"
