Chapter 1232: Chapter 1212: Little Fox

"It smells so good, Shiqi, can we eat now?" Bai Jian rubbed his stomach, watching Luo Qianqian leisurely threading vegetables and meat together, placing them in front of Yan.

He really wanted to say he could skip the vegetables, but seeing Luo Qianqian’s look, he swallowed the words back down.

Luo Qianqian pulled out a big bottle of cola and four paper cups, smiling softly as she looked at the rather lavish spread before her.

She unscrewed the cola, pouring it into the four cups. Except for Luo Qianqian’s face, which remained normal, the expressions of the other three kept changing.

The liquid occasionally splattering from the paper cups painted their eyes with a touch of sorrow, was this really a farewell?

Luo Qianqian handed a paper cup to Bai Jian first, just because he was closest.

Bai Jian, caught off guard, quickly took it, but his hands trembled, and the cup dropped to the ground, instantly creating a foam patch.

Bai Jian jumped up, looking at Luo Qianqian in panic.

Luo Qianqian pretended not to notice, calmly lifted a cup and drank it all in one go, then tipped the cup towards the others: "Feel reassured now?"

Bai Jian instinctively shook his head, his gaze towards Luo Qianqian still full of fear.

Could it be, Luo Qianqian was determined to die, which is why...

Just as he was about to speak, Huangfu Yihui picked up a cup, frowned slightly, but then mimicked Luo Qianqian and drank it all, but the next moment: "Cough, cough, cough, cough..."

Bai Jian leaped three steps back, instinctively raising his sword as he watched Luo Qianqian, afraid she might do something excessive.

Huangfu Yihui coughed so hard his face turned red, his hand gently patting his chest, his expression full of oddity.

Yan, unfazed, took a paper cup, swirling it lightly in front of him, then leisurely took a sip, his eyes lighting up, sipping slowly, completely ignoring Bai Jian and Huangfu Yihui.

Huangfu Yihui’s coughing subsided, his eyes teary with frustration from the ordeal.

"Shiqi, what is this?" Huangfu Yihui looked at the empty cup and Qian Xi’s calm face, feeling perplexed.

Luo Qianqian glanced at the three of them: "Peaceful Water, for euthanasia." She rolled her eyes dramatically, wondering at the exaggerated reactions to her offer of cola.

Bai Jian shuddered again, his gaze towards Luo Qianqian growing more wary, a regretful look towards Yan and Huangfu Yihui, yet staying silent, just remaining vigilant beside them.

"Tastes good, pour me some more." Yan, having finished, looked spiritedly at Luo Qianqian, motioning at the big bottle.

Luo Qianqian casually poured him another cup: "Take it easy, we haven’t even eaten yet."

"Are you planning your last supper here?" Yan raised an eyebrow, unfazed, holding the cup with a look of enjoyment, "With something like this, why didn’t you bring it out sooner? Cheap, won’t even spare me some alcohol." Daring to drink it was partly due to being an Alchemist with Fire Attribute protection, generally not fatal, with antidotes readily available. Besides, he trusted Luo Qianqian, not fully acquainted but her eyes were honest and clear.

"Alright, enough talk, let’s eat." Luo Qianqian looked at him, shaking her head speechlessly.

As they comfortably began to eat, Bai Jian stood aside, uneasily, soon kneeling: "Shiqi, what did I do to offend you? Tell me first before killing me."

Watching the others eat and drink merrily, Bai Jian patted his belly, finding it hard to endure such solitude.

"Why exactly?" Luo Qianqian pondered, seeing Bai Jian’s puzzled look, internally amused, as playing tricks was indeed fun.

"It’s probably because he casually calls you ’big sis’, making you feel old," Yan said calmly, providing a reason.

Huangfu Yihui quickly waved his hand: "No, no, I think it’s because he always eats too much."

Seeing the two earnest in finding excuses, Bai Jian felt crushed inside.

"If not for your ugliness." Luo Qianqian said calmly.

"Huh?" Bai Jian was dumbfounded.

He was neatly dressed, not to say universally adored, but he was considered handsome, dashing, and popular among junior sisters in the Sect; was he really that bad?

With a glance at Yan and Huangfu Yihui, he mumbled indignantly: "Those are two pretty boys, I’m a chic swordsman, how can you even compare?"

A shiver ran down her spine, Luo Qianqian felt her back go numb as if something had appeared behind her.

Soon, she felt something moving along her back, somehow reaching and fiddling with her bra clasp, curious about what it was.

Before she could turn, a snow-white blur leaped onto her shoulder, then into her crossed lap, curling up comfortably.

The small white bundle, roughly the size of an adult’s head, looked adorably dumb and cute, with a long tail wrapping around itself like a warm quilt. Luo Qianqian let it lounge there.

Noon neared, a time for drowsiness.

The three seemed oblivious to the uninvited guest in Luo Qianqian’s lap, even Bai Jian poured himself a cup of cola, starting to taste it.

Everyone drank it, so even if it was poison, he felt it’d be a waste not to taste it.

The first sip, his mouth puckered in surprise, eyes filled with longing, as if truly drinking poison and longing for death.

Luo Qianqian grabbed a skewer, biting off the vegetables to eat, pinching a piece of meat to tempt the Little Fox in front of her.

Foxes are carnivorous, he knew, so he wouldn’t offer vegetables or anything.

The Little Fox sniffed with its black nose, then opened its mouth to eat the meat.

Luo Qianqian’s face was filled with warmth, catching the trio’s attention.

"This cruel woman can have such an expression?" Bai Jian’s hand paused slightly, eyes full of surprise and admiration.

A moment ago she looked like she’d poisoned them, now looking so tender, really was a hard contrast for him to accept.

Huangfu Yihui swirled the cup lightly, his innate nobility making him appealing even sitting on the ground, holding a simple cup, still radiating noble elegance.

His unveiled appreciation made Yan frown slightly.
