Rebirth: Building the Strongest Party with my Overpowered Harem.-Chapter 9: Stella, the Guild Advisor
Chapter 9: Stella, the Guild Advisor
(Stella's office.)
"What the hell were you thinking, Adonis?!" Stella yelled.
She was sitting on the other side of the table, her face twisted with anger.
Stella was beautiful—hell, she was known to be so attractive that many other adventurers under the public guild wanted her to be their guild advisor.
There had also been instances where those from private guilds called for her services.
Stella refused all of them.
Known for having the most flourishing blonde hair and a stunning physique, she was also quite stubborn and hard to understand.
She never spoke to anyone other than the few friends she had made in her workspace. That... and the fool who always managed to get under her skin.
Adonis Heartwood.
Normally, he was somewhat of a weakling who always tried to attain things far beyond his reach, causing Stella to constantly clean up after him.
It was truly an eyesore.
And yet, she never once demanded to stop being his guild advisor.
Seated opposite her with his arms crossed, Adonis spoke, "Wow, you seem tense. You sure you're good?"
Stella almost popped a vein.
She slammed her hand on the table. "This is not a joke, Adonis! You almost got killed! Now, how on earth did you end up in a C-rank dungeon?!"
A serious look crossed Adonis's face.
'What am I supposed to say? That I am a different person from another world, and the original character was simply too stupid?'
He sighed. "I just thought Filo and I could level up faster, so I temporarily joined a party taking the quest."
Stella glared. "Even after I told you not to go for a quest higher than your rank?"
"Yes, even after that. You know, I can't stay a low rank forever. I have to grow strong if I'm going to—"
"You keep saying that..." Stella placed her forehead on the table. "Another question then."
She raised her head. "Those goblins downstairs..."
"Oh yes, I killed them."
Shock was the first thing to appear on Stella's face before she gave a small frown.
"Do you think I am some kind of idiot? You're a healer—a F-rank at that. How on earth could you kill that many goblins and remain in one piece?" Stella leaned forward.
Adonis also leaned forward, covering his mouth with his hand to whisper—
"Reawakening."
Stella's eyes widened.
Reawakening, a rare phenomenon where an adventurer or hunter gained a new class or rank due to an intense emotional reaction.
Normally, most people remained with their class and rank forever. Only a few could actually upgrade their ranks, and even then, it could only happen once and took quite a long time to attain.
But Reawakening—that was an entirely different matter.
"You're being serious right now?!" Stella asked, clearly finding it hard to believe.
"I am." Adonis extended his index finger. "If you don't believe me, you can go ahead and test me."
Stella wasted no time.
"Wait here!" she yelled before running out of the room in haste.
Leaving only Adonis in the room.
"Honestly, she gets so worked up, it's actually cute." Adonis rested his jaw on his hand.
"Then again, I don't blame her. Someone like Adonis doesn't seem like the type who could undergo any type of awakening."
He looked at the papers stacked on the left side of the table.
Those were lists of adventurers applying for a chance to have Stella as their guild advisor.
"Hmmm... I sometimes forget how popular she is." Adonis frowned a bit. 'Now that I think of it, didn't she end up becoming a big shot in the novel? Yeah, I remember she upgraded from being an adventurer to being a hunter.'
Bam!
The door opened, and in walked Stella.
In her hand was a magical artifact. It was flat and round, like a piece of glass, with multiple colors floating around it.
It was the Reader—an artifact used by the guild to measure the class and rank of adventurers.
Stella sat down in the chair, her eyes filled with determination as she stretched her hand forward. "Give me your hand."
Adonis smiled, finding her cute, if anything.
He offered his hand to her, allowing her to place it on the artifact and run the scans.
The hologram glowed.
/Name: Adonis Heartwood.
This content is taken from fгeewebnovёl.com.
Rank: Unknown.
Class: Healer, Necromancer.
Party: Dancing corpse./
Stella could barely believe her eyes.
"No way..." she blurted out.
Leaving aside the fact that the artifact could not determine his rank, it was impossible for anyone to have an affinity for two classes.
"Again!!!"
Stella tightened her grip around Adonis's finger and gently placed it on the artifact.
Just like before, it gave the same results.
"Again!"
She did it over and over, feeling unsatisfied each time.
Adonis watched.
'I expected her reaction to be like this. Most people would react the same way. Seeing someone with two classes is like seeing an angel on earth in my world. I don't blame her for reacting this way.'
He continued, 'If this were any other person, they would immediately direct me to the Hunter's Association since they are more on the expert side. Stella isn't like that. She cares for Adonis... I know that much.'
Stella was quiet for a while, her eyes fixed on the hologram before her.
"You really do have two classes."
"I only just figured that out. I know it's strange, still... it's a power I was blessed with," Adonis spoke, moving his face closer to her.
"This is kind of hard for me to take in. Adonis, if the guild finds out about this, you'll be a prime target. This level of power should not belong to one person," said Stella.
"Oh..."
"No, hold on. I might just be jumping to conclusions. There's a chance you won't be much of a threat just because you have two classes." She looked at him. "Do you mind... demonstrating?"
"My powers...?"
"Linking to Necromancy, yes."
Adonis sighed. "Alright, if you say so."
"Come forth."
