Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 74 Eating Is Important
Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Eating Is Important
With a pop, the Little Demon vanished without even a wisp of smoke, disappearing like a bursting bubble.
Sophie Wilson immediately became compliant, nodding in agreement, "Who dares to snatch? Even if they did, I’m not leaving."
Apparently, Charles Seymour was very satisfied with Sophie’s answer. The storm stopped, and the temperature rose again.
After getting seated, Charles ordered, "Drive."
Sophie wondered if it was an illusion, but did she just see the driver’s hand tremble slightly when shifting gears?
Fortunately, the car drove smoothly all the way, so Sophie didn’t think much of it. Maybe she truly was mistaken.
Upon arriving home, dinner was just being served. After washing hands and changing clothes, it was time to eat.
"How’s the company been lately?" Charles asked casually.
"Fantastic!" Sophie exclaimed excitedly while holding her bowl, "Recently, both the branch and the main office teams have been pulling members to work together on my upcoming project."
"Nowadays, everyone frequently exchanges ideas in group chats online, and the discussions are quite intense. Additionally, the collaboration between all the branch offices has become more seamless. I must say, never since the company was established have we been so united."
"The company atmosphere is great," Sophie bragged, "And importantly, Grace Wilson’s team has been subtly isolated."
"You haven’t seen Grace Wilson’s face. She hates me to death, yet she has to pretend we are best sisters. I bet it’s making her sick."
The more Sophie thought about the few times she saw Grace Wilson while handling business at the headquarters, the more she wanted to laugh.
After all the times Grace has sabotaged her, she’s only given a little ’payback’, and Grace can’t handle it?
Her mental resilience is truly too weak.
What will Grace do when Sophie really unleashes the big guns?
Sophie even feels worried for her.
"Hmm," Charles nodded slightly, placing a piece of ribs into Sophie’s bowl, "Eat."
Looking at the deliciously fragrant rib in her bowl, Sophie silently picked it up to eat.
Indeed, in Charles’s mind at this moment, nothing was more important than letting her eat well.
Although Charles slightly disrupted the atmosphere, Sophie still felt today’s sweet and sour ribs were a bit sweet.
Sweet like she’s sipping honey, delicious.
After dinner was over, the two went upstairs. Sophie entered her bedroom, only to find Charles had followed her in. Then, he casually and naturally closed the door behind him, as if it were his bedroom.
"I’ve investigated. Stephen Wilson didn’t get married, but suddenly had a child back in his hometown," Charles said directly upon sitting on a chair.
"Suddenly had a child?" Sophie frowned, "A child out of wedlock?"
"Stephen initially worked far away, only coming home every few months," Charles said with a frown, "He brought you back because Lily Warren gave birth."
"Wait, I’m confused." Sophie raised her hand, stopping Charles from speaking, and asked curiously, "Are you saying Stephen never married my mom or Lily Warren, and then had two kids?"
"Yes," Charles nodded, "However, you are registered under Stephen’s name, while Grace Wilson is registered under Lily Warren’s name."
"Wow, Stephen truly has skills. Never been wed once and already has two kids," Sophie was at a loss for words, "And Lily Warren was just willing to have his children without a title?"
