Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 208: You’re So Tall
Changing a bunk is no big deal, really.
With these two kids around, if they start jumping around on my head, that would be truly annoying.
So Pei Huai didn’t hesitate and nodded, "Sure."
Pei Huai agreed, and Chen Bing had no objections either.
The two of them picked up their carry-on luggage and moved to the middle bunk.
The woman was clearly very happy and didn’t rush the kids to bed, letting them play around as they wished.
These kids were at an age where they loved to chatter, laugh, and play rough.
Not only that, their energy was extraordinarily high.
Since they got into the carriage, they had been talking and laughing non-stop.
Jiang Ran raised her hand to check her watch. It was already ten at night.
At this hour, especially on a train when everyone is tired, it would be better to quiet down for sleep.
Looking again at the two laughing kids, the silent men already lying down, and the woman constantly tidying up, Jiang Ran felt at a loss for words.
For people with kids, especially those accustomed to their noisy children, they don’t think their kids are noisy at all.
Just like the couple on the lower bunk, they probably didn’t see any issue with their children acting this way.
Luckily, no matter how energetic children are, there is a limit.
Around eleven, the kids finally got tired and, at the woman’s urging, laid down on the lower bunk.
Both of them were still young, so sharing a lower bunk and sleeping head to foot worked out just fine.
But that one bed could only fit the two of them.
If the woman wanted to rest, she either had to climb to the top bunk where no one was or squeeze in with the man.
The woman walked over to the man’s bunk, sat down, and gently nudged him, speaking in a low voice, "You sleep up there, I need to watch them, it’s inconvenient going up."
The man didn’t move or even open his eyes, "If it’s inconvenient, just sit."
With that, the man didn’t say anything further, as if he’d fallen asleep again.
Jiang Ran thought the woman might slap the man awake.
But to her surprise, the woman didn’t do that.
The woman just glanced at the man, then sat at the head of the bed, resting her arm on the table and sleeping on it.
Jiang Ran, "???"
Jiang Ran thought, either something was wrong with her eyes, or something was wrong with the woman’s mind.
As it turned out, Jiang Ran’s eyes were fine.
After all, it’s their family matter, and they are strangers to her. Even if she didn’t like what she saw, Jiang Ran had no intention of speaking up.
She quietly got out of bed, went to the restroom, and then lay back down to sleep.
That night, she managed to sleep quite soundly.
Early the next morning, even before opening her eyes, Jiang Ran heard the giggles of children.
Jiang Ran had anticipated this last night, so she forced herself to sleep.
If you don’t sleep at night, it’s hard to catch up on sleep during the day.
With these two kids around, getting any sleep was truly challenging.
Fortunately, Jiang Ran felt well-rested, and after lounging for a moment, she got out of bed and put on her shoes.
The woman on the lower bunk was packing up. Seeing Jiang Ran get down, she stared at her for a while before exclaiming, "You’re so tall!"
Jiang Ran, "..."
What could she say?
All she could do was give the woman a polite but awkward smile.
The woman seemed quite familiar, "Miss, how do you get so tall? What do you usually eat?"
