Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom-Chapter 209: Why Not Wake Him Up
Before Jiang Ran could respond, the woman already continued asking, "I also want my two kids to grow taller."
Hearing this, Jiang Ran instinctively thought of the saying that all parents have compassionate hearts.
It’s reasonable that this woman wants her kids to grow a bit taller.
However, the child’s height is not determined by what they eat, but more by the genes given by the parents.
If the parents are tall enough, even if they only eat simple food, the child won’t be too short, though might be somewhat affected.
But if the parents aren’t tall, trying to make the child taller through external means might be a bit difficult.
These thoughts flashed through Jiang Ran’s mind.
"Usually, give them more meat and eggs, they can grow a bit taller."
Even if it doesn’t help with growth, it can provide more nutrition for the child.
These two kids are actually quite thin, which is evidently due to inadequate nutrition.
The woman nodded repeatedly upon hearing this, "Thank you, sister!"
Being called "sister" again by the woman, Jiang Ran’s mouth twitched slightly, almost imperceptibly.
Although aware that this was a term unique to the time, it still felt a bit odd.
Jiang Ran didn’t speak further but searched for her toiletries and walked outside with them.
Even on a train, one cannot skip washing up.
By the time Jiang Ran returned from washing up, Pei Huai and Chen Bing had just climbed down from the middle bunk to go wash up together.
This small compartment is truly tiny.
Considering they would soon have breakfast, Jiang Ran didn’t hurry back to the upper bunk but also refrained from sitting on someone else’s bed, instead standing by the door.
The woman had already tidied up the two kids, ready to lead them to wash up.
Seeing the trio coming over, Jiang Ran stepped aside.
Once they left, the small compartment only had Jiang Ran and the man sleeping in the bed left.
Not long after, Pei Huai and Chen Bing returned with items.
After putting the items away, Pei Huai asked Jiang Ran, "What do you want to eat this morning?"
Upon hearing this question, Jiang Ran retorted, "What food is available?"
Could it be there are plenty of meal options on the train?
Being questioned by Jiang Ran, Pei Huai suddenly remembered they were on a train, not at home.
His face briefly flashed an awkward look; he cleared his throat and said, "Let me go see what food is available."
Jiang Ran nodded slightly without committing, watching as Pei Huai and Chen Bing left with lunch boxes.
Not long after they left, the woman returned with the two kids.
The two kids seemed clearly more energetic after tidying up; they weren’t walking back but bouncing all the way.
The woman led them to the compartment, instructing them, "Stay here and don’t run around, I’ll go buy you something to eat."
Having said that, the woman looked at Jiang Ran, "Sister, are you going to buy food?"
Jiang Ran shook her head.
Seeing Jiang Ran shake her head, the woman’s eyes instantly brightened, "Could you please help watch them, they don’t need much care, just make sure they don’t run out."’
It’s not a troublesome task.
But Jiang Ran couldn’t quite understand.
Clearly, the children’s father is lying there, why doesn’t the woman wake him up?
Although Jiang Ran didn’t openly ask, her gaze shifted towards that direction.
The woman wasn’t blind and naturally noticed Jiang Ran’s expression, but she merely smiled at Jiang Ran without explaining anything.
