Fang JunRong looked down on the ground and found the green turtle looking up at her. It was just a turtle but Fang JunRong could see “innocent” written all over it.

Fang JunRong looked into it’s eyes and finally sighed and said, “You want to go out too?”

The turtle nodded.

Alrighty. It was a turtle from the dimension alright. It could even comprehend human speech.

“We can do that but I have rules. You cannot appear in front of others without my permission; no eating random things; and you can’t hurt anyone.”

The turtle hesitated for a little and finally nodded three times.

Alright, Fang JunRong would just assume that she had adopted a pet.

Besides, in their circle, having a turtle as a pet was quite common. Turtles, in the eyes of many, represented longevity and many kept them as pets.

That being said, most of the ones that the rich people kept as pets were the long-living ones. The idea was to get some of the luck of long living. Each one of those costs upward of tens of thousands of yuan. Hers, on the other hand, looked like the tiny little ones that one could just buy for a few yuan at a market.

She didn’t think much about it. She would be returning to City S in a couple of days and sign some of the documents that had been waiting for her in the last few days.

Bringing a pet with her onto the plane required paperwork and she did not have enough time to get that done.

She’d just let it stay in the dimension for the time being. She’d just look for an opportunity to present it in front of others, as her pet.

The purpose of this trip was to vacation and relax but, after they had run into Chen MingZhu, things had gone a very different direction.

Never mind about resting, she did more work than she would have done had she stayed in the office. That being said, she didn’t have any regrets about it either.

XinYun and Fang Tian had to stay behind. They still had a lot totake care of.

Fang Tian even started streaming the disaster relief effort. Fang JunRong didn’t think there would be a lot of viewers for something like that but it turned out she had a lot of viewers.

Under the circumstances, Fang JunRong had to return on her own.

She left Jiang DeXian behind. She would still worry if only XinYun and Fang Tian were by themselves.

With Jiang DeXian there as well, she would not have to worry about them being tricked by anyone.

The first thing she did after she returned to City S was to head into the office.

She worked long hours for two days and then started taking her old friends out to dinners.

The way they put it, with all the publicity that Fang JunRong had been receiving lately, it was only right for her to treat them to dinner!

Taking friends out to dinner was one way to socialize, so Fang JunRong agreed to it with a smile. In fact, she was in such a good mood that she even sent them fruits.

She also heard news about Su Teng during the banquet.

Su Teng had been having a tough time as of late. The ingredients of two of the Su Corporation’s herbal medicines did not meet the standard upon inspection.

They needed to recall them and paid a large amount of compensation. The person responsible for the quality check was the brother of one of his little lovers.

He couldn’t resist his lover’s whining and arranged a position for him. With an outsider lacking the professional attitude plus his inexperience due to his age, it didn’t take long for him to mess it all up.

When their partner found out about this incident, they called off their cooperation right away. The Su family had already invested a lot of money in it during the beginning of the projects. The project being called off at this point meant a big loss for them.

The other shareholders of the Su Corporation were not happy with Su Teng and, together, the number of shares that they owned exceeded that of Su Teng’s.

His position was threatened, among other issues. Rumor had it that Su Teng wanted to sell off some of his shares for some cash to tie him over.

When she heard all those, Fang JunRong pursed her lips. Su Teng was fairly lucky that the Su Corporation was still in existence.

Should the opportunity present itself, perhaps she could purchase some of their stocks as a gift for Jiang WenYu.

Even though she was the one who saved him at the very beginning, Jiang WenYu had helped her a lot as well.

Fang JunRong was the kind who would repay others more than what they had done for her.
