It's been few months since the bombing of Venice and the Accords were nowhere to be seen which stopped the Avengers from breaking up while Dr Stephen Strange has finally found Kamar Taj.

" Did you heal a man named Pangborn? A paralyzed man?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked

" In a way." The Ancient One said

" You helped him to walk again." Dr. Stephen Strange said

" Yes."

" How do you correct a complete C7-C8 spinal cord injury?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked

" Oh, I didn't correct it. He couldn't walk; I convinced him that he could." The Ancient One stated

"You're not suggesting it was psychosomatic?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked not sure if he was hearing it correctly

" When you reattach a severed nerve, is it you who heals it back together or the body?" The Ancient One asked

"It's the cells." Dr. Stephen Strange said

" And the cells are only programmed to put themselves together in very specific ways." The Ancient One stated

" That's right." Dr. Stephen Strange nodded

"What if I told you that your own body could be convinced to put itself back together in all sorts of ways?" The Ancient One asked

"You're talking about cellular regeneration. That's... bleeding-edge medical tech. Is that why you're working here, without a governing medical board? I mean... just how experimental is your treatment?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked

" Quite." Ancient One said

"So, you figured out a way to reprogram nerve cells to self-heal?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked

The Ancient One smiled and said "No, Mr. Strange. I know how to reorient the spirit to better heal the body."

"Spirit... to heal the body. Huh. A... Al... Al... alright. How do we do that? Where do we start?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked although unsure if what she said was true or not but he was ready to do whatever it takes to cure his hands.

The Ancient One than picks a book and shows him a picture seeing which Strange had a really strange expression.

"Don't like that map?" asked the Ancient One

" Oh, no. It's... it's very good. It's just...you know, I've seen it before. In gift shops." Dr. Stephen Strange says

"And what about this one?" Ancient one said as she flips the page sharing him another image

" Acupuncture, great. - Yeah?" Dr. Stephen Strange said

" What about... that one?" Ancient one said after flipping another page.

"You're showing me an MRI scan? I can not believe this." Dr. Stephen Strange says as he started to lose hope.

"Each of those maps was drawn up by someone who could see in part, but not the whole." The Ancient One said

" I spent my last dollar getting here on a one-way ticket, and you're talking to me about healing through belief?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked in a broken tone as he knew that his last hope is false as well.

" You're a man who's looking at the world through a keyhole, and you spent your whole life trying to widen that keyhole. To see more, know more. And now, on hearing that it can be widened in ways you can't imagine, you reject the possibility." The Ancient One said

"No, I reject it because I do not believe in fairy tales about chakras, or energy, or the power of belief. There is no such thing as spirit! We are made of matter, and nothing more. We're just another tiny, momentary speck within an indifferent universe." Dr. Stephen Strange said

"You think too little of yourself." The Ancient One said

"Oh, you think you see through me, do you? Well, you don't. But I see through you!!!" Dr. Stephen Strange said when Ancient One slammed her palm on his chest pushing his soul out of his body and then back in his body again. "What did you just do to me?!" Strange asked in shock.

"What's in that tea? Psilocybin? LSD?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked still not believing that what he was seeing and feeling was true.

"Just tea. With a little honey." The Ancient One said

" What just happened?" Dr. Stephen Strange asked

"For a moment, you entered the astral dimension." Ancient one answered

"What??" Dr. Stephen Strange asked not understanding what she meant

"A place where the soul exists apart from the body." Ancient One stated

" Why are you doing this to me?" Dr. Stephen Strange said

"To show you just how much you don't know. Open your eye." The Ancient One said as she tapped Stranges forehead with her thumb and showed him the multiverse

"No! No... No! Shit! Oh god! Oh god! Oh god! This isn't real it isn't real it isn't." Dr. Stephen Strange shouted continuously as his body floated around while he travels the multiverse

"His heart rate are getting dangerously high." Mordo said but Ancient one ignored him.

" He looks alright to me. You think you know how the world works? You think that this material universe is all there is? What is real? What mysteries lie beyond the reach of your senses? At the root of existence, mind and matter meet. Thoughts shape reality. This universe is only one of an infinite number. Worlds without end. Some benevolent and life-giving, others filled with malice and hunger. Dark places, where powers older than time lie... ravenous... and waiting. Who are you in this vast multiverse, Mr. Strange? Have you seen that before in a gift shop?" The Ancient One said and finally stopped his journey across the multiverse to bring him back.

" Teach me!" Dr. Stephen Strange said as he went on his knees.

After a little tugging and pulling Strange started learning under Ancient One though it's a problem that he is only there to heal his hands and since Kenichi has stopped Ancient One's plan of dying, they need a plan to stop Strange to go back to being a doctor.

Of course for this Kenichi simply asked, Ancient One to let strange use the Eye of Agamotto and see the different futures. This arrogant guy won't listen to anyone but if he sees something on his own than he will definitely stay.

But that was for later as right now the guy was getting his ass whooped by Mordo and Ava Starr.

Kenichi was also training himself to death, now fully capable of controlling the reality stone Kenichi believed that he should be able to kill the Thanos of MCU but he doesn't know if it will be the same one or not as this is a different universe than this one.

Still even if he much stronger than his counterpart Kenichi doesn't planning on losing.
