Wendy, sitting in Mario Yuno’s arms, pointed at the river crabs on the table and shouted, "Hair! Hair!"

Kiara nodded, "Right, I’m going for Matt Bailey’s!"

Wendy didn’t understand what Matt Bailey was, but when she heard Mother say "right," she thought her mother had agreed and happily clapped her little hands, stretching out her chubby hand to grab it herself.

Mario Yuno pulled his daughter’s chubby hand back and nibbled it, "You can’t."

These past few days Wendy’s stomach hadn’t been good, without her mother at home she was missing the natural bottle, drinking formula and eating complementary foods, and missing her parents had caused her to run a fever. Eating the cold river crabs would only make it easier for her to get diarrhea.

"You’ll need to spend more time with her. She’s very well-behaved when you two aren’t around," Yuzo Joel laughed as he watched his granddaughter.

Understanding Dad’s meaning, Kiara nodded, "Yes, I’ll pay more attention."

Before Kiara disappeared, although she always stuck close to her parents, she was never as whiny as now. This was a manifestation of the child’s lack of a sense of security, definitely because the child felt the crisis of the incident too much and was afraid of losing them, so she acted spoiled after Kiara and Mario Yuno returned. "Dad, have you heard of injections that destroy people’s hippocampus?"

"The ones that block memories?"

Kiara nodded, and Yuzo Joel’s expression changed dramatically.

"That psychopath used that stuff on you?!" Everything seemed normal with the child showing no signs of memory loss; he hadn’t considered that possibility.

Kiara shrugged, "Yeah."

Though Mario Yuno didn’t know what that stuff was, he grew anxious seeing his father-in-law’s nervous expression.

"What did those bastards do to you?"

"Don’t worry, it’s not a big deal, just messed with my memory a bit."

Mario Yuno, though temporarily relieved, was still concerned, looking as if he wished he could drag Kiara to the hospital for a thorough check-up.

"Don’t worry, my dad and Senior Brother are here, and they’re worth more than all of those people in the hospital combined. Besides, Fox Cat was there too, and he would have dealt with it immediately if there were any issues," Kiara reassured him.

Fox Cat hadn’t arrived tonight, and Kiara felt a bit disappointed.

Although no one had said anything, and Yuzo Joel had expressed acceptance, time was still needed for their relationships to return to the closeness and ease of before.

"Then how come your memory wasn’t affected?" Yuzo Joel inquired.

"It was affected to some extent, but I didn’t forget the main things. I was just wondering if those injections had any effect on breast milk?"

Luckily, while on the other side, Kiara had sneaked away and expressed the milk, otherwise it would have been horribly uncomfortable to hold it back. Although Wendy was nearly one year old now, Kiara decided to breastfeed for a while longer. There’s no data on how it might affect breast milk, so to be safe, you shouldn’t breastfeed for now, just wait a few more days," he advised.

Kiara nodded, realizing Dad made sense, so the baby would have to be patient for a few more days.

Kiara coaxed Wendy to take the bottle, Wendy looking utterly disconsolate.

Mommy is back, and yet still no fresh milk...But at least Mommy is gentle enough and Dad pretty silly, so in light of their great paternal and maternal love, she decided to endure the darkness in her belly and forcefully eat, knowing Mommy said her regular food would resume in a few days.

Mario Yuno was watching his daughter-in-law feed the baby when he felt an evil gaze sweeping over him. He looked up to see Eldest Brother stroking his chin, looking at him.

"What are you looking at?"

"These past few days must have been tough on you."

Camden hadn’t understood yet.

"How hard can it be to make a formula?" He thought Eldest Brother was talking about Kiara currently being unable to breastfeed, making him prepare the formula for the child.

Making formula, changing diapers, putting a kid to sleep, aren’t these skills every Dad should master? What’s hard about that?

Eldest Brother gave an indescribable smile, "Not that kind of tough. I heard if this isn’t eaten, it’s got to be held back. So..."

Kiara had kicked Mario Yuno several times under the table to stop Camden’s thoughtless blunder, insisting that Eldest Brother finish his statement.

How can someone be so clueless!
